The cottage was amazing my girls loved being there, we had so much fun and enjoyed all the deer that came so close. Place as super clean and organized. Committing was great and would definitely book again. Thank you

The cottage was very clean. It fit my husband and 2 daughters 21&27 quite comfortably. Kitchen was well equipped. Only thing missing was a toaster. The only complaint was that the description said we had to provide sheets and towels. But, there was both sheets and lots of towels. which is great.( so perhaps description was an old one). But. was a bit of an inconvenience packing all mine. Other than that we had a lovely stay

Perfect location

This quaint cottage was in a perfect location, close to everywhere you'd want to be in the Huntsville area. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were spacious. The outdoor space was lovely and we enjoyed a lot of time out on the deck. The area was quiet and peaceful. Overall, enjoyed this location.

The cutest little cottage

My family and I enjoyed a lovely weekend here. The kids loved playing outside, exploring and the water access was just across the street. Public beach within a short drive and about 30 minutes from Santa's Village. We loved it here and will definitely plan on coming back 😊

Peaceful

Cottage was nice and cozy. My kids loved it there and it was a beautiful location and very peaceful. The only thing I would say is it could use a bit of a better cleaning but on the whole we enjoyed our stay and would go again.

Cottage was clean and cozy. Perfect for the 2 of us. Bed linens and bath towels are not provided so make sure to bring your own.

Little red cottage

Weather and area was beautiful! Lake lovely. Steep hill to get to the water and no dock to sit on. Lot and cottage was nice.

Although the property was as listed, there were key items missing like a toaster, sugar, hair dryer, scissors. Also there was a problem with the water pump while we there, to which it needed to be replaced. The host did let us know about water pressure issues just before we checked in, which we had no choice to accept anyways at this late notice. A neighbour did k on us but then during our stay the pump was replaced which led to no water for 4 hours and afterward brown water to which we could not do laundry or have a shower. This was hard with two young kids in tow. Communication was not great to let us know this would be the result of the water pump being replaced. When we advised the host of our disappointment, we did not feel he understood why this was an issue. Going to a strange house down the road to go to the bathroom or buying our own water to dump down the toilette were not great solutions to a problem like this. We ended up spending a whole bunch of extra money to go out to eat and buy drinkable water. Not the relaxing enjoyable time we were hoping for. We know things come up but communication and timing is everything. If the water was going to be that bad after the change of pump, maybe wait until after we check out. Or if inevitable, maybe give us some of our money back. I hate writing bad reviews but we have been travelling for a month and were hoping to have some relaxation time at a cottage which did not happen with our two young kids.

Great location, close to water, quiet neighborhood. However not sure why water is yellow and sandy. Also AC and bed sheets would be nice.

Little Red

Little red was absolutely amazing! Aside from the family of ants that were in the ensuite room and the misperception of the lake being right outside the cottage me and my friend highly enjoyed this destination! We would definitely come back!

Fall colours

Beautiful time! Cottage was perfect for our stay, would stay again, maybe next summer! Only thing if you have a large group only 1 bathroom which was a normal thing back in the day! Lol

Great Place to Stay

My friends and I (a group of 6) stayed at this location over the May 2-4 weekend and we had a great time. The property was clean and tidy and had a very welcoming atmosphere. The location was absolutely beautiful and calming. Communication with the owner was easy and stress-free. Overall great experience and would recommend it to friends and family. No disappointments within the group.

Beautiful Cottage

Our group had a great stay at this cottage. We stayed just for a weekend, but felt like we should have stayed a week. Really lovely location, close to the water, great fire pit for relaxing at night, bbq, and anything you’d need in a kitchen. The water was a little yellow with a copper smell, but we anticipated this and had brought our own water for drinking and cooking so it didn’t impact us at all but felt worth mentioning. Overall a great stay in a wonderful location. Already looking forward to the next trip.

Overall Great Stay

Great quiet location, with a beautiful yard to have a late night campfire. the cottage itself was cozy. the tv and internet was nice to keep the kids entertained with shows while we cooked and the walk down the road and to the lake was nice. We planned well with brining our own water jug and pump and coffee machine, I'm not a huge fan of sharing things that touch my water. but having the option of using the supplied equipment is a nice touch. Overall for the price it was a very nice stay. -Darren

Family vacation

My family and I stayed for a week. The over all cleanliness of the cottage was ok. There was a problem in the primary bedroom with mouse droppings, they were everywhere including on the bed. My daughter in law dealt with it and cleaned the room. The water was yellow but cleared a bit after a few days. The cottage is close to several amenities. The water access was not ideal for small children.

I loved everything except there is no towel and bed sheets also dogs hair everywhere in the cottage management sent the welcoming package half an hour before we checked in I have message him way before to see if there is anything that we need to be aware of like there is no towel I would of bring my own also the bed sheets

Lovely stay, minor hiccups

The property is very beautiful and well located. The amenities are good as advertised, except for the barbecue that was very dirty and its propane tank that was empty. The owner answered my questions about this and reimbursed us for refilling the tank. The shower and beds are very good. The access to the lake is steep, but manageable; you need to carry chairs and drinks, and the space is very limited (3 people max). We used one of the canoes multiple times. Carrying it up and down to the lake can be done by two fit people. We are very sensitive to smells, so we were happy that this place was clean and did not have any mold. Will definitely come back!
