It was the best house we have ever stayed at

All the bedroons had en suite facilities, the kitchen was large and very well equipped, and the dining room was lavish. The two sitting rooms provided plenty of space for everyone. The surrounding area beautiful, very quaint and tranquil.

Second time visiting 'The Cheese House'. Excellent hosts and lovely setting.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Cheese House. The historic, period setting is beautiful and full of charm. It provided the perfect peaceful escape, with fantastic country walks right on the doorstep. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in a gorgeous rural location!

A perfect venue for a family gathering in a well appointed house in a lovely setting

The house is very comfortable with excellent facilities for a large group. Everything was spotlessly clean and there was no shortage of equipment. There is a good circular walk from the house across the fields which was just the right length for small children. We also walked into Salisbury one evening.

Another wonderful stay

This is the second time we have stayed at the Cheesehouse and it felt like coming home. The kitchen and house is well equipped. The seating is ample for such a large accommodation and having an en-suite bathroom in every room is brilliant. Highly recommend this property for a large family get together.

A wonderful, relaxing, happy time with family

The space, the comfort, the well equipped kitchen with the amazing wine fridge!! Very convenient to get to Salisbury and down to the coast

Such a beautiful house in an idyllic setting - so spacious, elegant and welcoming.

We loved the number and variety of the rooms, with views of the bridge and the old houses and barns nearby. A stroll away, and there was a very nice 'olde-worlde' cafe, and beyond that, horses in the fields. A great walk to St Peter's Church - so rural but yet so close to Salisbury centre. We prepared lots of delicious meals in the spacious kitchen and were able to eat outside at the table under the awning. One evening we dined in style in the beautiful, grand dining room. We slept very well!

The excellent domestic arrangements, the rural setting and proximity of the natural world, the pleasure afforded by contemplating the eccentricity of the eclectic decoration and furniture, and the sense that all needs had been thought through and met.

Brilliant weekend, we'll book again

The house is lovely, well equipped and great for family with young kids like us. We enjoyed the cosy living room, thought it was to warm outside to brun some logs unfortunately, the very spacious kitchen, perfect for roast and family meals, and that large dining room welcoming all 12 adults!

We liked everything really. It was in a very pretty, quiet location, yet close to Salisbury. House was clean, very spacious; full of bathrooms; price was reasonable. We'd certainly recommend it to friends and would love to come back.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful house

Such a bonus to have an ensuite in all bedrooms. House was very well equipped, especially having a dining table that could seat us all round easily. Comfortable sitting room and good to have a snug when adults wanted some peace and quiet.

The house is beautiful, lovely location and most importantly room for us all.Ensuite stylish bathrooms in every room was a definite plus as was the large kitchen,lounge and dining room.Spotlessly clean and everything was provided. Thank you for everything including the tasty scones.

We were a family group of 14, aged between 6 and 75, and we all loved it!

Loved the house, it felt very homely, fab kitchen, space for all to relax and chill. House was clean, with a very well equipped kitchen for our keen cooks...plenty of large pots, pans and dishes to feed a big crowd, spacious, and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Games to play with, and some reading material available. Nice quiet setting, amazing views by the river. Some of us walked by the river into centre of Salisbury too. Easy off-road parking as well for the four cars!
