Three bedroom, log home built from hand hewn logs. Breathtaking view of 65 mile long Center Hill Lake and surrounding hills in the Heart of beautiful Middle Tennessee on 5+ acres very private gated property at the end of a small community road. Located near Hurricane Marina

A Lifetime movie was filmed here in 2003 and is now being shown. The name of the movie is 'No Regrets' so watch your TV listings for show times or order from Netflix. We have also had a recent Vice President and his family spend some of their vacation time here.

The home is a two-story, private dwelling with 12-foot high picture windows across the lake side of the house. The great-room has a large living, dining, and kitchen area with 24-foot vaulted ceilings, and a massive fieldstone fireplace. Great room has a new large sofa with built in cell phone chargers for relaxing while you watch 55 inch, QLED smart TV from the sofa.
One downstairs Twin bedroom with half bath. Upstairs has two bedrooms and a full bath.

One bedroom has a King bed and the other has a Queen bed. Aero Beds are available for two more guests--the kids love them! A large deck with rocking chairs, many marinas nearby for boating, water-skiing, and fishing. Water ski instruction is available at some docks. Pets are NOT allowed; no smoking. No children under 12, and no parties or weddings without owner approval.

Restaurants are at most marinas and in Smithville and Cookeville. Try the new restaurant at Hurricane Marina. Many types of boats are available for rent at most marinas. Hikers and nature lovers enjoy the numerous state parks nearby including 'Fall Creek Falls State Park', with the highest falls east of the Rockies, and 'South Cumberland State Park'. Hike to the many 'water falls' in this park and see the 'Great Stone Door.' Burgess Falls is also nearby and can be reached by boat on Center Hill Lake. Horseback riding is available in Cookeville. Don’t miss “Bluegrass Underground” in the Cumberland Caverns, plays in Crossville on
the Cumberland Plateau. Also Smithville Jamboree 4th of July week. In late October, when the leaves are beautiful, go “Off the Beaten Path”, a
great way to Christmas shop, beautiful works of art available, or you can enjoy a great fire in the fireplace or both!

For country music fans, Nashville is less than an hour's drive. Appalachian Center for Crafts is only three miles. For those who like to antique there are many shops in the area. Cookeville is only 20 minutes away and has many large chain stores and restaurants.

Amazing view

This cabin was very cozy, had great views, and was perfect for our trip! You are out on a bluff, with deep drop offs, so you can see for miles. It was great!

Birthday weekend getaway

Super easy to access, ample parking, and you can't find a better view of Center Hill Lake anywhere else - absolutely gorgeous. We spent most of our time on the back porch every morning and evening soaking in the views.

Our family had a wonderful week in this log home! It was nice, private, clean, and well kept. It was really close to the marina, which allowed us the ability to rent a boat for two days to enjoy the beautiful lake. We would definitely come back and highly recommend staying here!

Great place!

My family and another couple have rented this home on two different occasions and couldn't be more pleased. The view from the back porch is stunning, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make it even more spectacular. It has every ammenity you could want and is very comfortable. In addition, the owners - although we've never met in person - are extremely kind and helpful. Great place!

Hidden Treasure!

My family and I were so happy with our week-long stay at the house. The views were extraordinary and the property manager was wonderful dealing with my questions. This is the place to go if you want to get away from it all for a week or so and completely disconnect....While still having great internet! Amazing! We will be back!

Secluded, quiet vacation with incredible view

We loved our stay here! It's a truly unique home with an incredible view of Center Hill Lake. We loved taking walks in the neighborhood, enjoying the rocking chairs and taking in the views of the beautiful lake and all of the boating activity. It's private, peaceful, and exactly what we needed. We didn't leave the house for the first two days of our stay, we were perfectly content where we were. Perfect View

End of the road seclusion, great fire place and back porch. If you are looking for an updated cabin this is not it, kinda rustic and the view just makes it magical. Wonderful host and very responsive. No issues.

Very special place, the cabin in and of itself was super cool, great kitchen for cooking in, great tv/satellite set up for watching football and movies. With that said, even if the cabin was terrible, the views are some of the best you'll ever come across. Feels like you are kind of at the end of the world.

Absolutely perfect

I should have written this last year when we stayed here but time got away. This was the most awesome home to relax in with the best view of the lake. Very private. We visited when my brother in law was graduating from Glass blowing and the whole family rented several homes and everyone loved ours the best and all wanted to be with us the entire time. Thanks for sharing your home with us and we will return.

Inspiring Views from a Private, Cozy Retreat

Cannot imagine a more ideal place to celebrate Christmas (or any other day of the year!). My daughters and I spent 3 days at Susan's welcoming home. The picture windows overlooking the lake allow you to feel like you are outside vs indoors. The decor and furnishings are comfortable while creating an authentic TN log home feel. The best equipped kitchen of the 10+ VRBO homes we've rented; with reliable Wi-Fi. All tucked away on a bluff with a 280-degree lake view that is restorative and inspiring. Susan has anticipated guest needs and generously equipped this home for a family to enjoy while unwinding together. Thank you Susan for sharing this special place with us!

Exceeded all expectations!

We rented this beautiful cabin for a week based on the pictures alone. But let me say, that the pictures do not do it justice. This place is INCREDIBLE! And much larger than the pics lead you to believe. We actually held our wedding ceremony in front of the fireplace and it couldn't have been more perfect! The photographers called the cabin "their dream location" because of all the nature lighting from the huge windows. The views are spectacular and our families cannot stop talking about it. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The cabin itself is fully stocked and it has such a homey, comfy feel that we didn't want to leave! We hope to return for every anniversary!

A Cabin with Personality

This cabin has history and personality unlike the newer cabins that investors purchase to make profits. Thanks to Susan and family for sharing their wonderful cabin with us. Perched atop a secluded but not isolated, spacious lot with stunning paneramic views of Center Hill Lake. Ample level parking at the end of a private neighborhood street with entrance gate. Front and back covered porches the back with wooden rockers and both with amazing views of the lake. Very open interrior with high ceilings and large floor to ceiling windows elaborate the breathtaking views. Hugh stone fireplace for cozy evening gatherings. The kitchen was clean and had everything you need to prepare meals. The bedrooms are clean, spacious and the one with the king bed has awsome views of the lake. The cabin has a great stero system, tv and wireless wifi.

Nice house

House is very nice and the view is gorgeous. Here Lakefront means the property is on the lake. You can not get to the lake from the house. The only way to get to the lakefront of the property is by boat and you still cannot step on the property from the lake. The pictures are accurate. Where you see grass is the only part of the 5-7 acres that can be accessed. The shower tile and soap trays were not very clean. The soap dishes all had previously used bar soap left out for us to use. There is no Washer, dryer or hair dryer in this house as listed in amenities. I looked after we got home and under general it says to ask owner about washer/dryer. Grill was dirty and and grill brush available was completely worn down to the plastic. Knowing all this now if we come back we will be prepared for the negatives.

WHAT A VIEW!

This was our first time booking with VRBO. The booking was flawless, communicating with the Host was super easy and they were very quick to reply whenever I had a question. The location of the cabin was crazy beautiful! I could have just sat on the outside porch in the rocking chair forever...! Weather was gorgeous on the dates were there...The kitchen was absolutely HUGE and well stocked with everything we needed...the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was beautiful, warm and welcoming...being from Florida, it was such a treat to sit by the fire and enjoy the peace and quiet...many times I would sit out on the back porch and you would hear nothing but crickets...no loud noises, no sirens, nothing! I was in heaven. I have never seen so many stars in the sky either! Gorgeous....we also got a chance to use the gas grill, it worked beautifully....the Host graciously offered early check in as well, a definite bonus...getting to the cabin took us through a beautiful neighborhood, the neighbors were nice and quiet and the cabin was behind a gate...If I had a question, I was able to reach out to Maudine and the couple of calls I made to her with questions were answered promptly...thank you Maudine! The cabin was very rustic, old fashioned and true country decor...the staircase was absolutely gorgeous...but the thing that sold me was the VIEW....We all enjoyed our stay!

I have 3 grown children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. We all love the lake and the unique log home with the breathtaking view.

We love Tennesse and Center Hill Lake because of the beauty of the area. It is peaceful but not far from more activity if you would choose to go to Nashville for the day or to Knoxville.

We had always wanted a log house and we were so happy when one of our children found the house for us. Once we saw the view and the house we knew it was for us and our family to enjoy when we are not renting for others to enjoy.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The beautiful setting that gives us the use of the lake for swimming or a chance to go boating, golfing and hiking on the beautiful Tennessee trails. Just sitting on the deck watching the wildlife and enjoying the view is a treat.
