The Whitetail Dream Cabin
Enjoy a relaxing day taking in the scenery on the private dock, sunbathe on your own private white sand beach, go for a walk through the nature preserve or spend the day shooting hoops in your own private indoor basketball gym.
If going on all day adventures through the Hocking Hills State Park is your thing. Just remember to get back in time to watch the sunset over the valley while relaxing in the hot tub.
In the Hocking Hills we know you have many choices when it comes to your vacation rental. Our goal is to provide you with something truly unique and luxurious.
Located only 19 miles from Old Mans Cave, just over 8 miles from the town of Logan and less than 2 miles from the Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve.
Perfect for a honeymoon retreat or a romantic couples getaway.
- Located on 10 private acres. You will be the only guests on the property.
- Washing Machine and Dryer on site.
- 50 inch HD flat panel TV with Satellite service. HBO included.
- We have an outdoor fire-pit and patio furniture to enjoy the view.
- Outdoor grill bring your own charcoal and steaks. We do provide propane.
- White Sand Beach at the pond
- Spacious hot tub with fountain and led lighting
- Indoor half court climate controlled basketball gym. Gym can also be converted into a Volley ball, pickleball or badminton court.
- There is no landline phone but we do have excellent 100mbps+ Wifi.
There is 1 King size bed in the open concept cabin and 1 King size bed in a private bedroom.
We provide the essentials:
Towels, Sheets, Hair Dryer, Iron and board, basic kitchen supplies such as pots, pans and a toaster.
An initial supply of:
Soap, Shampoo, Toilet Paper
Please bring your own:
Charcoal for grilling, any condiments groceries/beverages you may want and don't forget the steaks! There is a Keurig coffee maker please bring your own K-Cups.
You may also want to bring your own bottled water if you are sensitive to well water.

** Absolutely NO food or drink in the gym. You MUST bring and change into gym appropriate basketball or tennis shoes when entering through the locker room entrance**

We had a fantastic stay, perfect for a family getaway in the Hocking Hills area. The cabin had all the amenities we needed and more. The gym was an awesome setup for shooting hoops and playing pickleball. The pond was a highlight, with active fish throughout the day and night. (Just a tip: there's a rope supporting the fountain that younger kids might get tangled in, so keep an eye out.)We caught fish nonstop using nightcrawlers on the bottom with a simple split shot setup. I recommend medium-light to ultralight rods. We reeled in bass, catfish, and bluegill with ease.I was also very impressed with how well the property was maintained. Everything was clean, organized, and clearly cared for.The hot tub was clean and relaxing, and the Wi-Fi was strong throughout the trip. I couldn’t get YouTube TV downloaded, but that wasn’t an issue since the Dish network provided a great selection of channels.10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back.

The host was fabulous and very responsive. The host thought of every little detail. This was such a relaxing retreat away from home. The surroundings were beautiful! My family loved playing games in the gym together and there were so many different spots and settings to hang out.

A little piece of heaven in Ohio

I highly recommend this property. Everything was clean, organized, and truly just like home. Billy was kind and made sure that everything was in order. The property is gorgeous and we will be back in the summer to enjoy all that it has to offer. Book your stay! It's worth it!!!

Amazing

Clean, well appointed, bright and airy. Loved the basketball court and bean bag chairs in the gym. Loved the porch swing and the hot tub! Pictures don’t do this justice.

Beautiful place

Beautiful place and perfect for our family with boys that would rather play in the gym all day instead of hiking. Hope to go back sometime during warmer weather to take full advantage of outdoor space. Close to restaurants & grocery. Billy was very accommodating when we asked for an earlier checkin and had questions during our stay.

Winter just as fun as summer

While we didn't have the snowpack we were looking for the cabin was a great retreat for the Winter. The area is beautiful and you can see more deer with the leaves off the trees. Rather than spend a lot of time outside we enjoyed the comforts of the cabin and the gym. There is a Kroger grocery store about 15 minutes south in Logan that is a nice place to stock up on anything you need for the full kitchen. It was nice to use the hot tub before having an in-cabin couples Massage from Blue Valley Massage and Traveling Spa. Highly recommend Tracy and Robin. They drive right up to the cabin set up inside. Were able to take a credit card payment on site. The trip wasn't complete without visiting our favorite restaurant about 30 minutes away (Kindred Spirits at the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls.) Gourmet dining without having to get really dressed up. We use to stay there but this cabin is far better than anything in their offering. Highly recommend if you have the chance. Highly recommend a visit in the winter if you're looking to unplug. Billy and his family do a wonderful job giving you privacy and great amenities.

Perfect weekend away from it all.

We had the best weekend here. We were so sad to see it come to an end. It’s so quiet and secluded. We didn’t see another person the entire weekend. The land is beautiful we even saw a few deer. Everything we needed was there. The cabin and gym were very clean and the hot tub was amazing. We played basketball, watched the buckeyes on a huge big screen and even took a morning jog down the road without a single car passing us. We’ve stayed in a lot of vrbos and this was one of the best. I can’t wait to come back to whitetail dreams.

Family had an awesome time

The property had spectacular views in every direction and there wasn't another person in sight outside of the farm a mile away. The kids loved fishing in the small pond and taking hikes. We all especially loved the gym for both playing sports and watching movies on the bean bags at night. Thanks for letting us stay! The Rodas

Second stay as good if not better than the first!

Not enough can be said about this vacation rental property. This is a great place to stay and we've recommended this place to many of our friends. Seclusion, nature, all the needed amenities and then some. The cabin is pristine and very clean. We loved the gym with basketball, volleyball, or badminton options and since we have a Sonos sound system at home liked using our playlist. The cabin and gym are fully wi-fi functional and setting your phone to do calling over wi-fi make phone calls easy as reception is very spotty in the area. So if you need to stay in touch with work or home it's doable. As well as sending and receiving emails, surfing the web, or watching Netflix. The Dish TV system allowed us to watch the Cavs and Ohio State Buckeyes. The outdoor hot tub is nice at night after a long day of exploring the area and its true there are many whitetail deer in the area most prevalent at sunrise and sunset. The lake in the back with gazebo is also a nice place to relax. We loaded up on groceries for breakfast and lunch and then spent our evenings trying some of the local places. Some of our favorites are Millstone BBQ and Kindred Spirits which has gourmet style cuisine without having to get too dressed up. We took advantage of the hiking in Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve which is a nice detour from some of the more populated trails in the area. You can see the nature preserve from the property and it's a short drive by car or bike. I can't say enough how much Billy and his family go out of their way to provide a great experience for getting away from life in the city. This is a great place to get off the grid if that's what you're in search of. We will continue to come back.

AMAZING REST, VIEW AND FUN

This was an amazing cabin located out in the middle of no where but still only 20 minutes away from the restaurants and shopping. It was VERY clean and beautifully decorated. So many things to do on property; hiking, indoor basketball court, badminton, movie theater with bean bags, pond, canoeing, hot tub and more. Two king size beds were very comfortable and two gazebos with grills are wonderful as well. Best place ever stayed in. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

If heaven had a cabin...

If heaven had a cabin it probably looks something like this. My wife was celebrating a birthday and we both wanted to escape our executive lifestyle, the city lights of Cleveland, a few days away from the kids, and enjoy the country and Hocking Hills area. Somewhat disappointed that the place we usually stay at was booked we opted to try something different. The only bad thing is our usual place will never see us again because Whitetail Dream Cabins lived up to its name and became our new place. The property is on 10 acres. We didn’t see one soul during our entire stay. The cabin overlooks Boch Hollow Nature Preserve which was our hiking destination for this trip. The morning sunrise with the fog lingering over the Hollow is a surreal memory I took back home with me. The moment we opened the door to the cabin we knew we had a new favorite place. Everything is color coordinated from the towels down to the hangers in the closet. No detail was overlooked. The kitchen is fully functional and has all the necessary items to cook a good meal, there were towels for the hot tub and shower. The bed…this isn’t your standard issue cabin bed. I felt like we were at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. The wifi and wifi calling worked as advertised and we were able to check in on the grandparents and kids during our stay. We were able to root on the Cleveland Cavaliers with the Satellite TV. And after being inspired by a Cavs win, we laced up our basketball shoes, connected to the Sonos sound system and played some basketball in the most amazing gym we had seen. Still can’t believe such a place exists. After we wore ourselves out and hit the shower we relaxed in a well maintained and spacious hot tub looking at stars we just don’t get to see living in the city. The lake and beach in the back were immaculate. There was even a canoe for the lake along with a hammock. While we didn’t grill the setup was amazing. If you think the photos look good it’s even better in person. The owner maintains excellent communication and really does a great job of putting together a book of all the things to see in do in the area. I can’t recommend this place enough, you won’t be disappointed. We’re already looking at our calendar for an opportunity to book our next stay.

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful weekend. My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary and we were very pleased with the this property. Everything is beautifully done. It is quiet and peaceful. Just what we were looking for.
