Anna Maria Island is a tropical barrier island seven and one half miles long. Its fine white sugar sand beaches are open to the public with convenient accesses along the entire island. It is one of the finest beaches in the United States. Unlike some tourist areas of Florida that are typified by endless rows of high rise apartment buildings and hotels, Anna Maria is an island of homes and small resorts.

Simple yet, perfect.

This is not the most luxurious place ever, but it works just fine for a great stay. Dual balcony’s were so nice. The dock and boat access were just perfect for a could days

The condo was beautiful. Views were great. Easy access to beach. The TV in living room was complicated with having 3 remotes and the tvs in bedrooms did not work. No extra toilet paper as both bathrooms had less then half a roll. Wash cloths look like the maid had cleaned with them. Overall it was a beautiful place would definitely go back.

Great Location

It was difficult to communicate with someone when we had questions but other than that, the house was really nice and the location was spectacular.

Overall, we loved the location, the condo was extremely well kept, the pool was great. The leasing office gals were very nice and accommodating. My only complaint was that we were not aware that the office in AMI was closed and we would have had to travel back to Ellenton for the key to the outside gate and pool if it weren't for the property manager on site. Kudos to him! We hope to be back for another visit!!

Great getaway

We loved staying at Pelican Cove # 5. The beds were so comfortable and the access to the beach and shops were great. The only complaint I have is when you took a shower in the guest bathroom it would flood the bathroom. I would suggest a plastic corner piece in that corner of the shower so the water can't escape. We did our best to make sure the shower curtain was on the inside of the tub and secure, but water still somehow leaked out all over the floor. Other than that, our stay was wonderful.

Everything was good. Only issues were the shower liner in Blue room bathroom had mold on it. Also, the blinds were not working great and one slat was missing.

Everything a family needs!

Super location, literally steps to the beach. An easy walk to Bridge Street shops and restaurants. The condo was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. It looked just like the pictures. Our daughter loved the heated pool. There were plenty of beach toys. While we have been visiting AMI for years, this was our first stay on the island. The location couldn't be more perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location and lots of amenities and supplies

The location of this property is perfect. It is directly across the street from the beach and within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants on Bridge Street. The condo has everything you need - even had umbrellas, chairs, pool floats, coolers, beach bag, and beach towels - everything you can't take on a plane but need at the beach. The beds were also very comfortable.

Location good but needs updates

The location is great for going to the beach, just across the street, and walking to shops and restaurants in the downtown beach area. Condo was spacious but needs an update and refresh, furnishing looked worn. The patio was dirty, screen ripped on the bedroom patio. Wifi is very slow, could not load web pages too quickly and streaming movies was spotty in the evening.

We loved the proximity of this condo to the beach. It was clean when we arrived and had zero issues. We followed the instructions from the emails provided by the property. Definitely will return!

Beach Get Away

Down side: The property wasn’t ready and cleaning people still in unit when arrived so we had to wait 45 min. But didn’t want to rush them. Sand/dirty floors throughout. Couch sandy. Towels in disarray. Couches/bedding could use update. Upside: Overall great location to beach/dock in back and easy walk to bridge street with lots of places to eat/shop.

The rental was perfect for our family of 5. highly recommend this property!

We had an amazing week! Perfect family vacation spot! Great view of the ocean from the front balcony. Beach was a little crowded but it was July 4th week so that was expected! Definitely loved our visit to the island!

Perfect Location

The views of the sunrise and sunset were amazing. The condo is very comfortable and well appointed. It is a perfect location on the Island. We will definetely stay here on our next trip to Anna Maria. Thank you.

Gulf View and Much More

We (two couples, early 60's) spent the month of February in the rental unit, and wondered in advance if 4 weeks might be too much time in one place. No problem! We have nowhere near exhausted our list of things to see, do, and do again. The condo was a nice size for us, and the well-equipped kitchen allowed us to minimize expenses by making about half our meals in. This took great restraint, since there are SO MANY good places to eat on the island and nearby. In terms of activities, it didn't hurt that we had mostly fantastic weather. Having the beach right across the street was great fun. And we have some terrific sunset photos. We caught some great free music evenings on nearby Bridge Street, and the market on Sundays. We fished off the bay dock, as well as all the town piers, and watched dolphins chasing mullet at dusk. The Cortez Village Fishing Festival was a hoot, as was our (successful) half day party boat excursion out of Sarasota. You just can't get tired of fresh fish! Having the rest of the island easily accessible, and Longboat Key nearby, always gave us lots of options. Would definitely recommend both the Mote Aquarium and associated eco boat trip. Some more offbeat visits included the wintering Lipizzaner Stallions in Myakka City, and the big cats show in Sarasota. We were glad we brought our bikes along, since there are so many lovely places to ride, and a bike trail right across the street. We also made good use of the pool and jacuzzi, and had a chance to meet condo neighbors there. AMI really is a treasure. In the interest of full disclosure, I would remind readers that there is no elevator, so be prepared to walk up with your bags and groceries. Also, there is some traffic congestion northbound (from Longboat?) certain times of the day, so plan ahead, or zoom by on your bike! Although we didn't use it much, there is a stop nearby for the free trolley/bus. One last thing: the rental agents were fantastic; attentive but not at all intrusive. We have already recommended this place to others, and will keep it on our short list when we return to Florida.
