Hobbitton, dream villa in the Sierra de Guadarrama.

Designed for tranquility, relaxation, and connecting with nature, Hobbiton is a charming and enchanting vacation home with breathtaking views, nestled atop a hill in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, on a picturesque 3,000-square-meter lot. It can accommodate 7 people, up to 6 of whom can be adults and the seventh a child no taller than 140 cm. A mattress can also be added on the floor to accommodate an eighth guest (adult or child).

The property is dotted with junipers, holm oaks, oaks, ash trees, and other trees, as well as many rocks that broke away from La Pedriza millennia ago, all of which contributes to shaping a rugged and steep landscape on our property, where the eye is treated to breathtaking views from a privileged elevated vantage point, with La Maliciosa, El Yelmo, and Los Porrones taking center stage, as we are situated directly across from these prominent peaks. All exterior images show what is within our property and were photographed from different angles on the property itself.

The interior of the house is colorful and cozy, filled with details evoking nature and fantasy—items we’ve carefully and lovingly collected over the course of our life together and our travels. What makes this house a special place is not only its thoughtful decor, but also the surrounding beauty framed by the windows and glass doors, creating the impression of authentic natural paintings.

The house is 185 square meters and is laid out over three floors with three entrances. It features a living room with a fireplace, a very bright 23-square-meter porch on the first floor (where the dining room and another living room are located), a 25-square-meter terrace overlooking La Pedriza on the second floor, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and the kitchen. Outside, there’s a rustic set consisting of a low table and three sturdy wooden chairs (which we call “The Flintstones Corner”). A children’s swing hangs from a tree.

With the exception of a dishwasher and dryer, we have all the appliances that make life easier, including a microwave, an iron, and a hair dryer.

Each bedroom has its own name: the master bedroom (with a queen-size bed) is “La Dama y el Unicornio”; the twin room (two single beds) is El Enebro; the children’s room is the Fairy Room, with a single bed measuring 90x190 cm and a smaller one for a child no taller than 140 cm. On the third floor is the room called “Torreón,” which, although it has no door, is conveniently separated from the rest of the house by a staircase.

If you have a baby, we have a travel crib available at no additional cost.

The house is warm in winter thanks to central heating, and in summer, our high elevation and thick granite walls keep the house exceptionally cool. In case of unusual need, three fans are available.

On the TV, in addition to the usual channels, you can watch Movistar Plus, Disney, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video.

You can park in front of the gate, in the spot reserved for our car, or, if you prefer, immediately after passing through the entrance gate. and

The books and records shown in the photos will not be available (except those from El Torreón), and if young children are staying, the paper sculptures, the “crooked house” sculpture, and the living room floor lamp featuring a red house will be moved to another location.

.The town of El Boalo, where we are located, has two small supermarkets, a pharmacy, a medical center, a tobacco shop, an ATM, a cultural center with a rich and varied program of events, and a post office, among other services. And, of course, it also has several restaurants, two of which (Casa Agustín and Don Baco) have excellent reviews and are very popular in the area, appreciated by both residents and travelers alike.

The town hall offers an electric bicycle rental service.

As for transportation, three bus routes pass through El Boalo, heading either to Moncloa or Plaza de Castilla.
