Luma Hvar ✶ Premium Beachfront House ✶

A stunning location on one of Hvar’s most spectacular stretches of coastline, Luma Hvar occupies an enviable position indeed. With its elegant interiors, spectacular views, direct sea access, and walking distance to the village’s cafes and minimart, Luma Hvar offers the perfect balance for many of our guests. The delightful long, tiered garden opens out onto the shoreline, allowing you to move from deck-lounging to sea-swimming in just a few carefree flip-flop steps.

Accommodation at Luma Hvar is laid out over two floors. The main entrance door is at the side of the house down a short staircase, and opens into a bright entranceway leading to an open-plan living area and kitchen. The living area is furnished with a sofa to one side and the fully-equipped kitchen features a gorgeous stone worktop.

Wide, wood-framed harmonica-style glass doors in the centre of the living area bring in the sea views and allow you to step out onto the shaded, roofed dining terrace and the tiered garden with ease. Another door near the far side of the kitchen, at the end of the entrance hallway, provides access to the rear terrace, where you’ll find a large barbecue grill perfect for preparing al fresco meals. There is also a downstairs bathroom with a shower just off the entrance hallway.

Back in the main living space, a staircase leads upstairs, which hosts four bedrooms positioned in a circular layout around the hallway. There are two double bedrooms that face the sea and feature glass doors that open out onto a gorgeous seaview upper terrace – the perfect place for morning coffee.

The large main bathroom upstairs connects to the third double bedroom, which faces the opposite direction. The fourth and final bedroom is a small bunk bedroom that is adjoined to the third bedroom, but can also be accessed independently via the hallway. You will also find an additional WC located off the upstairs hallway.

Let’s head back outside. Luma Hvar boasts a sizeable, tiered seafront garden and offers plenty of possibilities for al fresco living. Much of this space is shaded and there are two dining areas and plenty of seating for those who wish to gaze out to sea or settle down with a book. Steps lead down from the dining area to the deck, complete with sun loungers and shaded by Mediterranean pine. Steps continue to lead down, past the outdoor shower for after your swim, closer to the sea, until you reach the threshold at the end of the garden to access the transparent waters of the Adriatic.

Such a wonderful place to be and experience the best of Hvar! Pictures truly don't do this justice. Elisha was so helpful and quick to reply with any questions we had, but we had no issues at all! We greatly enjoyed the sea right outside our doorstep and the immaculate villa and grounds to relax and enjoy the quiet peacefulness of the island. We had an unforgettable experience and can't recommend this one enough!

Amazing

Elisha & Matt went above and beyond! They stepped in and helped when I was having issues with the rental car company and getting a car seat. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without them! They were amazing resources and has recommendation/solutions for everything. The property was stunning and the house was well cared for. The house was clean, everything in working order and well stocked with all the kitchen supplies needed to cook. They even left us some welcome treats when we checked in. The weather unfortunately wasn’t the best during our stay but we enjoyed the house and their hospitality. Thank you Elisa & Matt!

Very clean comfortable house. Close to a couple of local beaches. 20 minutes to Jelsa and Stari Grad. Beds were some of the most comfortable we slept on during our trip. House is well decorated. Great multi level outdoor space to enjoy the view. Also well shaded in late morning and afternoon. Overall very please with the rental! A big 2 thumbs up.

Luma Hvar occupies first-row-to-the-sea position in Ivan Dolac, a family-oriented seaside village on Hvar's southern coast.

Ivan Dolac is a small coastal settlement on Hvar’s southern shore, stretched along a steep slope where vineyards, holiday homes, and the Adriatic meet with very little in between. Built facing the open sea, the village enjoys long hours of sun, dramatic sunsets, and a raw, elemental relationship with the coast below. Ivan Dolac lacks a traditional historic centre or a polished waterfront promenade of the kind found in Hvar Town or Stari Grad. Instead, Ivan Dolac feels linear and practical, and unapologetically shaped by its rugged geography and geology.

What brings visitors to Ivan Dolac today is its beaches and true sense of detachment. The main village beach is easily accessible and well suited to younger swimmers, while a series of smaller pebble coves can be reached on foot all along the coast, offering clear water and far fewer people than beaches closer to Hvar Town. Dining options are simple and seasonal, focused on fresh seafood and unfussy Dalmatian dishes. Evenings tend to be quiet, often spent on terraces listening to the sea below. Ivan Dolac appeals to travellers who place swimming, sunbathing, and genuine stillness at the top of their list – those who are content to forgo constant activity in exchange for immediate access to the water and the satisfying sense of being tucked away from the busier parts of the island.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

• Note that construction noise is illegal in this region of Croatia from 1st June – 30th September. If you book outside of this time, i.e. in May or October, there is the possibility of construction noise impacting your stay.

• Luma Hvar has a private driveway with space for one car. There is nearby free street parking if you are coming with a second car.

• The footpath leads from the private garden to a public walkway and jetty, which leads down to the sea entry point. This jetty is a public space that is shared with neighbours, and therefore you may not block it by leaving your belongings there or holding a group gathering here. The jetty is for sea access only.

• The submerged stones at the sea entry point at the bottom of the garden are sharp. Therefore, for kids especially and particularly on days when the current is strong, we recommend entering the sea via the lovely little beach which is about 50 metres further down the public path.

• Restaurants and other establishments mentioned are subject to seasonal availability. Opening and closing dates are determined by the businesses themselves and may vary. Some venues may be closed outside the peak summer season. Please contact us for specific opening times of the local village amenities.
