AT KAS DI LAMAN APARTMENTS YOU FIND YOURSELF IN THE MIDST OF CURACAO'S UNIQUE CULTURE AND HISTORY. COME AND EXPERIENCE THE LAZY CARIBBEAN CITY LIFE.

Our luxurious apartment is situated at the top floor of a historic town villa. It is centrally located in the historical city center of one of the world's most colorful cities, Willemstad, Curaçao, an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Within walking distance you'll find the famous 'Handelskade', Pontoon Bridge, musea, shops, cafes, a 4D-cinema, the central bus station and many restaurants and fast food chains.

The apartment has 3 cozy bedrooms all with AC. One of the bedrooms has a Queen size boxspring bed (160x200cm) and the other has two single boxspring beds (90x200cm). The third bedroom has a large wardrobe closet and a baby crib (or folding bed) can be put in this room upon request. The bathroom has beautiful Portuguese tiles and a rain shower. Basic amenities and freshly washed towels will be provided.
The oakwood kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a stove with 5 burners, an oven, Nespresso coffee maker, toaster, citrus juicer press, water cooker and a refrigerator to make your stay very comfortable. Coffee and tea is provided for the first days of your stay. In the pantry is a washing machine.

The apartment is 82sq/mtr, excluding terrace. The Living room is 35 sq/mtr and has a beautiful hardwood floor, a 42 inch flat screen TV with all the popular channels, an I-pod docking station, cable television and FREE wireless internet.

The apartment has a balcony at the street side where you can sit down and enjoy the authentic Curaçao street vibes.
At the rear of the apartment is a secluded terrace with a large lounge bed and a wooden pergola which provides necessary shade and priavcy. Here you can enjoy the view on the impressive Queen Juliana Bridge while taking a dip in your own tropical plunge pool.

Wonderful Willemstad!

What a fabulous apartment! If you want to 'live like a local', relax on the private deck with your own plunge pool and stay in a renovated old dutch mansion house - this is the place for you! The pictures don't do the apartment full justice, the place was bigger than we expected and had beautiful beams on the ceilings throughout. The shutters ensure a refreshing caribbean breeze comes through the apartment all day, so air con is not needed at all times! Also the kitchen had everything you could ever need (including a fabulous toasty maker and coffee machine :) All communication from first booking to arriving home at the end of the holiday was perfect. We didn't meet Inez but Erik was a wonderful host, we felt very looked after throughout our stay, he was on hand at all times for any queries, he picked us up from the airport (and dropped us off) provided some great recommendations and he arranged for a hire car for us to use throughout our stay. Willemstad is a great city and we found some amazing beaches on our tours of the island! We will be back! :)

Fantastic stay in beautiful apartment near waterfront

My husband, teen daughter and I spent five nights at Inez and Erik's property two blocks from the Willemstad waterfront. Inez was prompt on email exchanges and Erik picked us up from the airport for $20 total and checked us into their beautiful apartment. Pros - Inez and Erik thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The pictures are a true likeness of what we saw. The gourmet kitchen was fully stocked and the full-sized refrigerator had chilled water and ice cubes. Inez arranged a rental car at our request for $35 per day including insurance plus taxes that was dropped off and picked up at the apartment. The wifi was robust and the waterflow strong for hot and cold water. The bedrooms each have ac units for fast cooling and comfortable sleeping on smooth white linens. We loved the bathroom with the large rainshower spigots. Everything felt luxurious from the furnishings and linens to the beautiful thick historic walls, doors and windows. The patio was a perfect escape at the end of the night. We left all the windows and doors open until bedtime to enjoy the cool Caribbean breezes. We enjoyed the easy walks around Willemstad and nearby dining. A great plus to have cable tv, dishwasher and washing machine for vacation. The only con was street noise, but bear in mind you are near the heart of the "city" action. There was road noise from cars and tour buses passing by the one way street and there was some renovation across the street during our stay. The bedrooms and patio are in the back though, so we still enjoyed relatively quiet evenings. Highly recommend this beautiful vacation escape. Thanks to our kind hosts and thanks Erik for dropping us off after checkout at our hotel for the last night of our stay in Curacao.

The best Home to have, when you are Away from Home.

We LOVED this apartment! If we ever visit Curacao again, we would definitely book our stay here again. We spent two weeks; one walking to many local sites or taking a bus, and the other week was visiting farther sites and beaches with a car that Erik rented to us that was very reasonable. We used the beautiful deck area and plunge pool practically every day. What was especially nice is the pergola over the deck that gave you a shaded area if you were lounging or in the pool. Off the pool area is another room that stored pool floats, cushions and some beach supplies like a cooler to borrow. Also inside, a washing machine and a laundry line to hang clothes to dry that we used several times. Like the other reviews stated, the kitchen is large and well stocked with all the kitchen gadgets you could possibly need. And the full-sized refrigerator is very nice. Since we were arriving on a Sunday, Inez offered to do some grocery shopping for us, so that we would have some provisions there when we arrived, which we really appreciated! Not to be missed: Just across the bay is the floating market where fishermen sell their catch-of-the-day and many fruit and vegetable stands are set up in the morning. It is an easy walk to the floating bridge or the ferry that takes you across the bay to the Punda shopping area. There are also many restaurants where you can dine with a view of the water that we enjoyed very much. Erik and Inez made us feel very comfortable and were always available to answer questions or help us with a request. It was great to have wi-fi and cable tv also! Some helpful hints: Since cruise ships do stop in Curacao, we did an internet search of the cruise ship schedule to see when groups of cruise ship passengers would be in town and planned our excursions accordingly. Also across the floating bridge in Punda is a Tourist Information booth that helped us find a bus to Mambo Beach and Sea Aquarium that was very convenient. Many of the beaches have bars, restaurants, showers and clean washrooms, but they do charge a small entrance fee, which we were happy to pay for all the convenience

Goed uitgerust appartement in fraai gerenoveerd 19e eeuws monumentaal huis

Op loopafstand van de pontjesbrug in centrum Willemstad is het goed thuiskomen in dit luxe uitgeruste appartement. Het ademt de grandeur van het historische Otrabanda. Nadat het wandelzweet is afgespoeld in het kleine prive zwembad is het tijd voor een koud biertje hangend in de lounge banken op het houten dakterras. Verderop, hoogover rijdt het verkeer fluisterend van Otrabanda naar Punda. Wat een uitzicht! "The place to be" als je houdt van een stadse omgeving om van Willemstad te genieten en een perfecte uitvalsbasis voor het gehele eiland. Van alle gemakken voorzien, waaronder een geweldige keuken met dito uitrusting. Vriendelijke behulpzame eigenaars die je graag halen en brengen van en naar het vliegveld. Een voorrecht om aan de Hoogstraat even te mogen wonen en leven.

Great apartment, great location!

We have stayed here with a party of 4 for a total of 4 days in May 2016. The apartment was in excellent state, with a very nice little pool at the patio. The location is great, as it is easy to reach by car, and close to the Punda area.

Tolle Wohnung in zentraler Lage, absolut sauber

Wir möchten uns nochmal ganz herzlich bei der Familie Hagedoorn bedanken, für die Herzlich- und Freundlichkeit des Empfangs und der Hilfsbereitschaft die uns entgegengebracht wurde. Wie bereits in anderen Bewertungen zu lesen, ist die Wohnung wirklich toll, ein „Glücksgriff“ in der Altstadt von Willemstad und ohne Einschränkung weiter zu empfehlen. Wir waren leider nur 5 Tage da, aber diese haben wir absolut genossen. Viel Erfolg wünschen wir weiterhin mit den neuen Projekten. Grüße aus Deutschland Petra & Berthold

Prachtige woning, zeer centraal gelegen.

Prachtige woning op zeer centrale plaatst. Echt alles is aanwezig om een fijne vakantie te hebben. Goed apparatuur in de woning om eventueel zelf te kunnen koken, fijne bedden en alles is zeer schoon. De sfeer van de woning voelt ook heerlijk aan! De plunge pool maakt het helemaal af, wat ontzettend heerlijk om daar even af te koelen. Wij voelde onszelf veilig on Otrobanda en in de woning naast Kas di Laman woont een vrouwtje die je elke ochtend even een fijne dag wenst. Heel erg lief, echt een 'wijk-vrouwtje' die volgens mij iedereen kent. De service was ook zeer goed. Alles kon gevraagd worden aan Babette en ze had leuke tips over het eiland. Ik had iets laten liggen en dat wordt 'as we speak' verzonden naar Nederland. Super fijn dat Babette en Inez zo meedenkend zijn! Bedankt dat jullie met 'Kas di Laman' en prachtige bijdrage hebben geleverd aan ons heerlijke honeymoon.

Outstanding apartment in excellent location

The photos of this apartment are very nicely done and we were pleased to find everything was even better than expected. Corwin met us at the airport and was very kind and helpful. The apartment is spacious and airy with a good, quiet air conditioner in the bedroom. The thing that made the most impression on us was the attention to detail and the high quality of everything. We are cooks and the Smeg gas range is superb plus there was absolutely every utensil we could have wished for. Tea and coffee provided plus some spices and all the basics. The plunge pool and back patio were a huge bonus. We cooled off and floated several times a day. Wonderful. The apartment is about two streets back of the harbour which is perfect so not too close to the cruise liners arriving - everything is within walking distance. Babette checked us out and even arranged for us to keep the local phone she had arranged for the duration of our stay. Do not hesitate to book this apartment.

Great apartment. We loved it. Very good location

We loved the patio/pool area, great to have your meals there. Wonderful kitchen. All very clean. Good bathroom. Very safe. Short walk to the restaurants area on the water. We enjoyed the balcony views. The parking lot security guys were the greatest. We rented a car from Crazy Car Rentals for $210 dls for one week with insurance included. A lady attending the tourist kiosk near the restaurants helped us with it. Best beach overall: Mambo Beach. Don't bother with the northern beaches. As far as the apartment is concerned we loved the whole experience. We got picked up at the airport for $20. Curazao was a very good destination. I highly recommend this rental.

The perfect place for a perfect vacation

We came to Curacao for a friend's wedding, and made the decision to stay in Willemstad. It was the best decision we could have made. Kas di Laman is absolutely gorgeous, well kept, and extremely comfortable. The beautifully remodeled apartment was perfect for our stay. We were within walking distance of numerous restaurants and bars, which came in very handy while watching the World Cup. The patio and plunge pool are beautiful and very well kept. We loved our time in Curacao, and that was in no small part thanks to our staying at Kas di Laman. I would highly recommend staying there to anyone visiting for any length of time.

FANTASTISCH

Wat een geweldig appartement in het centrum van Willemstad. Keuken compleet, zelfs kruiden, tosti ijzer, vaatwastabletten etc. Normaal als je naar een appartement gaat, moet je dit kopen, nu niet!!Erg fijn. Voor een balkon, achter een prive zwembad, luxer kan niet toch. Het zwembad werd ook netjes schoongemaakt. De huiskamer was gezellig ingericht en er waren zelfs spelletjes en boeken. Ook een wasmachine hoort erbij! Altijd handig. Vanuit Willemstad kun je met de auto overal makkelijk naartoe rijden, dus dit is de ideale locatie wil je midden in het centrum zitten. Er is een bewaakte parkeerplaats met beveiliging, dus je auto staat altijd veilig. Ik kan nog wel even doorgaan over de geweldige vakantie die wij hier hebben gehad. Ik zou zeggen, boek dit fantastische appartement in Willemstad en je hebt ongetwijfeld een vakantie om nooit te vergeten.

einzigartige Ferienwohnung

Bei der Suche nach einer passenden Ferienwohnung, fiel mir vor allem die tolle blaue Farbe der Stadtvilla auf, die im Original noch intensiver wirkt und in der Sonne nur so strahlt. Als wir in der Wohnung ankamen, wurden wir sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen. Wenn man über die Treppe ins Apartment gelangt und durch die Tür eintritt, fühlt man sich sofort wohl und heimisch. Die Wohnung sieht genauso aus wie auf den Bildern. Die Ausstattung war wie beschrieben und reicht von einer Spülmaschine, Nespresso-Maschine bis hin zu den in Curacao so notwendigen Decken-Ventilatoren, bzw. zu einer Klimaanlage. Der Pool ist zwar klein, aber absolut ausreichend um sich morgens und abends eine Abkühlung von der karibischen Temperatur zu gönnen. Unsere vorab erbetene Kühlschrank-Befüllung funktionierte hervorragend; danke hierfür! In 5 bis 10 Minuten Fußentfernung ist man im Herzen der Stadt. Hier findet man zahlreiche Restaurants und Bars, bzw. diverse Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf. Gerne wieder!

Empfehlenswerte zentrale Stadtwohnung mit Pool

Beschreibung durch den Vermieter ist voll zutreffend. Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gut ausgestattet und sehr gepflegt. Der kleine Pool ist genial um sich kurz zu erfrischen. Die Vermieter sind sehr zuverlässig und bieten einen sehr guten Service (dies betrifft sowohl den Emailkontakt als auch den Vor Ort Kontakt). Die Wohnung liegt zentral, innerhalb von 5 bis 10 Gehminuten ist man im touristischem Zentrum von Willemstad. Sehr freundliche Nachbarschaft. Wir haben uns in dem Viertel sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt. Kleiner Supermarkt (Artis Supermarket in der Breedestraat) in 5 Gehminuten, bietet alles notwendige. Ansonsten diverse große Supermärkte in Autoentfernung (z.B. Centrum Supermarket Weg naar Bullenbaai, 10 Autominuten). Zur Erkundung der Insel und um schöne Strände zu erreichen ist ein Auto sehr empfehlenswert. Bewachter Parkplatz in 1 Gehminute zur Wohnung (wird vom Vermieter kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt). Fazit: sehr zu empfehlende Stadtwohnung. Urlauber, die Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe suchen sind hier eventuell nicht gut aufgehoben.

Expérience UNIQUE!

Nous avons séjourné du 14 au 21 février dans cet appartement. Nous avons reçu un chaleureux accueil à l'aéroport par la propriétaire Inez. Il est également possible de demander le transfert à l'aéroport lors du retour. L'appartement est situé au deuxième étage d'une MAGNIFIQUE villa historique située près de Willemstad (accessible à pied). Pour circuler au-delà de Willemstad, il est préférable de louer une voiture. Un stationnement situé à quelques pas de la résidence est également mis à notre disposition. L'appartement est très bien aéré, chacune des chambres possède l'air climatisé et il y a également un très grand espace de rangement. Il est à noter que l'appartement compte deux sortes de prises électriques (type européen et type américain) dans la cuisine, ce qui est très pratique pour recharger les appareils électroniques, entre autres. La cuisine est très très bien équipée, vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour cuisiner, incluant un lave-vaisselle. Il y a également une épicerie locale tout près. D'autres épiceries sont disponibles sur l'île, mais une voiture est nécessaire. Étant donné la proximité des restaurants (à distance de marche de la résidence), nous en avons profité pour sortir et en essayer quelques-uns. À l'arrière de la maison, toujours au deuxième étage, se trouvent une magnifique terrasse ainsi qu'une piscine privée. Les propriétaires sont extrêmement sympathiques et disponibles. Nous en profitons pour les remercier de leur accueil et de nous avoir permis de vivre une expérience unique dans leur magnifique appartement. Merci encore pour tout!

Heritage apartment

I loved this apartment!!!, beautiful renovated heritage building. Open concept kitchen, living, dining with all the kitchen accessories you need. The plunge pool was great when you came back from a walk and needed to cool down. The owner Eric picked us up at airport and brought us back which made things easier. The bus system in Willemstad is awesome, the station is within walking distance from apartment and we never paid more than 2$ us wherever we went. We found that if you go to tourist info booth on Punda side across from walking bridge they have bus info. Also just want to say thank you to Eric he wanted to make sure we were comfortable

the house is a dream

we were lucky we can spend our holiday in this house. It was pure pleasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who has a flair for historic building, is in the best hands in this house.

Wij hebben t hele huis gehuurd! SUPER!

Zéér goed onderhouden - erg schoon - véél service inkl pannen! Zéér zentral en toch rustige buurt! Absoluut vriendelijke verhuurders! T hele huis te huren is raadzaam!! Wij komen -zo God t wil - graag weer terug bij jullie op vakantie! Bedankt voor alles!

Heerlijke luxe stadswoning met prive zwembad.

Wij hebben met het hele gezin enorm genoten van deze heerlijke luxe stadswoning. Een prachtig met hoogwaardige materialen opgeknapt pand op loopafstand van restaurants en winkeltjes. Ik kan het aan iedereen aanbevelen die het prettig vindt om in de stad te logeren. De woning was schoon. De eigenaren zijn erg service gericht en hebben oog voor detail. En het zwembadje is fantastisch! De kinderen wilden niet eens meer naar het strand. Wij hopen er snel weer te kunnen logeren.

Fantastisch

Als je voor dit schitterend gerestaureerd historisch pand staat, heb je geen idee dat er een fantastisch luxe appartement met zwembad(je) op de eerste etage ligt. Zeer smaakvol en goed ingericht met "alles er op en er aan". Bij aankomst was het schoon en werden vriendelijk en gastvrij door de verhuurder ontvangen. Op loopafstand kun je heerlijk lunchen/dineren bij de gouverneur of in het Rif Fort. Natuurlijk zijn de pontjes brug en Punda een aanrader. Voor het goede strandgevoel moeten Cabana en Cas Abou worden genoemd. Zeerzeker een aanrader voor familie en vrienden.

An enjoyable two weeks at Kas di Laman !

KAS DI LAMAN If you love Dutch Colonial architecture, Kas di Laman is a perfect choice. It is situated on the Hoogstraat where most of the colonial buildings have been restored to their former beauty. We were picked up at the airport by one of the owners (Eric) of Kas di Laman. Eric was hospitable, and he was also available for any questions we had during our stay. We were pampered with a breakfast basket on our first morning in Kas di Laman. There are two rooms with beds and air conditioning; the third room is more like a large walk-in closet. We stored our suitcases and clothing there. Our kids enjoyed soaking and playing in the pool. We enjoyed lazy mornings and afternoons sitting on the secluded terrace overlooking the pool. Kas di Laman is centrally located. Mc Donald’s, KFC and Subway are five to ten minutes away on foot. The first few days we travelled on foot and enjoyed walking around Otrabanda and Punda. The bus terminals are within walking distance. We made use of public transportation to visit nearby attractions. When we wanted to explore areas beyond Willemstad, we rented a car. We really enjoyed staying at Kas di Laman. The location of the apartment is central, but not noisy. The facade of the building is historical, the interior is tastefully decorated and all the amenities of a luxurious short term rental apartment are present.
