Mainsail is a fabulous 2 bed 2nd floor apartment, sleeps 4 - 1 x king size bed & 1 x double size bed. The apartment is very well-equipped with everything you need to enjoy the perfect getaway with friends, or family.
The living and dining area is open-plan with sliding doors onto your private balcony, offering panoramic views over Looe, Harbour, estuary and the sea/coastline. Check out our social media pages for Clipper House, Looe, #clipperhouselooe #viewstoinfinityandbeyond. The kitchen is fully equipped & with those views, cooking will never feel like a chore. The apartment has a further decked & seating area to the rear & coal BBQ - overlooking Looe Harbour & Estuary.
We include Wi-Fi, full Sky Sports & Movies package. Crisp laundered white bed linen and towels & welcome sundries.

Fantastic!

The apartment must have the best view in West Looe! You could sit on the balcony all day watching the river and the beach and never be bored. The apartment was clean, very well-equipped, and just what we needed for a relaxing break and recharge of batteries. Hope to return one day.

Wow, what a view!!!

Mainsail is a lovely, well kept apartment with stunning views. We spent hours just sat on the private balcony overlooking the estuary and beach watching the tide come in and go out! Light and airy, Mainsail has good sized rooms and literally everything you need is provided. Paula and Phil were great hosts going above and beyond. When we got stuck in traffic on the way down, they were even there to greet our food delivery and were happily carrying our wine order up the stairs. We had the most amazing break and we even extended our stay by an extra night because we loved the place so much.

Clipper house accommodation

Have just had a lovely weekend staying at the clipper house. We stayed in the mainsail apartment. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed and even had tea/coffee, milk. The views over Looe Bay are stunning. Paula was very helpful and was there to greet us on arrival, she even had flowers for us for our friends wedding anniversary, which we thought was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this accommodation and we will definitely be returning hopefully in the summer.

Amazing place

This is the most amazing little flat! The views are incredible from the lounge, Kitchen, and large bedroom. The view from the double bedroom is of the river and still lovely. We were met by Sam who showed us all we needed to know - including the shortcut walk into town. It is fairly steep in places so may not suit those with mobility issues, but it is worth the climb if you can make it. Literally everything in this apartment is perfect - from the goodies left by Sam, to the parking underneath the house. The only downside to our stay was that it wasn't long enough - we will be back to make up for that!!

Clipper houses Looe Cornwall

Absolutely amazing place the views very incredible! The host Sam was fantastic left fresh milk in the fridge scone and jam clotted cream fresh flowers and bread from the local bakery.Also met as at least he place on arrival lovely toasty warm accommodation and I know have to say again the views WoW!! Thank you Sam for a wonderful stay will definitely be recommending to family and friends. Also place was spotless clean as I’m very fussy. 😍

Unbeatable View!

Just returned to rainy London after a wonderful weekend staying in the Mainsail Apartment at Clipper House, Looe. Fantastic apartment. We stay in many holiday lets each year and this has got to be one of the best in terms of space and view. Two decent size bedrooms, one double and one double with single and also a travel cot available so plenty of room to sleep a family comfortably. Lots of nice touches and useful things to make your stay comfortable (umbrella, dishwasher tabs, cleaning products etc) Sam is an excellent host and all communication was very prompt & helpful. The only thing I would say is that if you have mobility issues there are two flights of stairs to the apartment and it's a steep hill from the town... but if you need to work off the fish and chips then you can't go wrong! We would go out of our way to stay here again.

Lovely week in Looe

Great flat. Great views. Friendly host (scones, clotted cream, jam and loaf of local bread on arrival). The flat also has a smart tv so netflix etc is available and also a full sky package (including movies and sports). We love Looe and will be coming back and will (hooefully) come back to "Mainsail"

Amazing

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your fabulous property. Wish we could move in and live there forever! Was perfect. Everything and more is available. Could not believe it when we arrived Scones waiting for us bread fruit. Milk eggs tea coffee and sugar. Love the flowers as well thats about. Hoping to stay again. I could go on and on but I would never shut up about how fabulous our holiday was. Thankyou sam for everything.

Very nice apartment with stunning views of Looe. Nice touches, especially the scones on arrival. Terrace and garden fully enclosed, great for the dogs.

We stayed in Mainsail and all lived up to our expectations- amazing location, spectacular views, clean accommodation with everything you could possibly need. The added extras were much appreciated - especially the fresh scones, jam and clotted cream! Will definitely stay again

Stunning view

The view is stunning, it really made the holiday. The apartment was spotless and had some really lovely touches such as scones, clotted cream and jam to welcome us. Sam was a perfect host and greeted us with a smile despite us arriving later than planned. The whole flat was well stocked and a good size for the 4 of us. A car parking spot was a massive bonus and also despite being up high there is a short cut to the town. All in all I would definitely recommend this property!

HAD A GREAT STAY HERE, THE APARTMENT TOOK YOUR BREATH AWAY ON ENTERING,WAS CLEAN AND TIDY WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED.SAM WAS A VERY GOOD HOST {UNSEEN TILL NEEDED}.WE TOOK ELDERLY PARENTS,THEY MANAGED THE WALK INTO TOWN BUT IT WAS A TAXI BACK, BUT THESE WERE CHEAP WITH NO WAITING INVOLVED.

Amazing Place To Stay

What a fab property with unreal views of Looe Harbour. From our booking to arrival Sam was an amazing host, providing a real Cornish welcome of cream tea, fruit, bread, mil, tea and coffee for our arrival. Mainsail has everything you would need including WiFi and sky, a must for any teenager. The property was spotless, we were provided with towels and plenty of tea towels too. We are planning to return it was that good Highly recommended property and host

A little piece of Cornish Heaven

We have stayed at The Mainsail and The Crows Nest many times, its like a home from home. Sam always makes the accommodation spotless and his finishing touches like a welcome pack is always gratefully received. We have never had a problem with any of our visits but know that Sam would do everything in his power to ensure any issues were resolved to ensure we had the best stay possible. Looe is delightful; there are so many cafes, restaurants and pubs within a 10 minute walk to the centre and there are other places within a short drive that are worthy of a visit too if you do not want to use the car too much. We have dogs and everywhere is dog friendly, there is a beach next to the main one and a short walk from Clipper House is Hannafore beach also. There is a kiosk and a tea shop by the tennis club that sells refreshments so you can enjoy 'a cup of tea by the sea'. You will thoroughly enjoy your time here, I can't wait for our next visit.

We fell in love with Looe, having never been to Cornwall before, 2016. We originate from East Sussex & relocated in 2019
Phil and I have worked many years in hospitality, property, sales and marketing.
Ryan our son left us to go to University in Manchester & we hunted for the perfect holiday home for guests to enjoy - it's taken time but, we know we have, here at Clipper House.
It's a unique property with The Best Views in Looe.
- It was a hotel previously and was later owned by Dawn French, whom we purchased it from.
We are now taking it to the next level, we look forward to welcoming you.
