Peaceful retreat

Loved staying there. The house is lovely and bright and the breeze from the ocean was wondeful.

Very nice apartment

The apartment was close to dining and shopping yet it was very quiet. It is spacious and the view is wonderful.

Frangipani heaven

We enjoyed the ocean sounds, a wonderful view, walked to swimming twice, well stocked kitchen. Parking a challenge but we managed to get fairly close each time.

Quiet, fully equipped, property with a great VIEW !

Enjoyed our stay very much. The property is quiet, fully equipped and clean. And has a great view over Funchal and the ocean !!! The host was very helpfull and easy to reach over Whatsapp or phone ! Not that close to the bigger supermarkets. Shopping can be quite exhausting due to the steep streets.

Fabulous location and views, lovely property, would benefit from air con and/or mosquito screens

This is a beautiful property with spectacular sea views, but it really needs proper air conditioning units, rather than simple fans, and mosquito screens.

Beautiful Home

VIEWS! VIEWS! VIEWS! In the heart of Funchal this little house by the sea was just amazing! It is a 30 minute walk down hill to Funchal town. The house itself was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The views were amazing as you are just above the sea and can watch the sunset from the front garden of the house. The area is very quiet at night so you can get a good nights sleep and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. Felt like we were at home. We were 6 adults so 2 of us had to use the sofa bed, which was also comfortable. The only downside would be the check-in time was 4pm and we landed at 9am to Madeira. There was no earlier check-in available. Also a few times the electrics cut out but we got it back on. I would deffinitly reccomend this place as it is very beautiful and a very comfortable stay!

Poor- would avoid

I have communicated my opinion to the property also. One shower towel per person-insufficient and there was charge for more. Patio chairs were horrendously stained along with the cushions on the loungers and therefore could not be used. We had to bring kitchen chairs outside to enjoy the patio. Patio had not been cleaned before check in. Furniture and appliances are needing repair/replacement. In some case a health hazard. Glass fronted cupboard containing delph wouldn’t open fully. Damp on wall in kitchen and paint peeling. These are just a few of the issues. Overall would not recommend at all. The views are the only redeeming feature. I really could not wait to check out.

We regret that the patio chairs and the condition of the furniture did not meet your expectations. We will review these issues and take action to improve for future guests. Une très belle maison !

La maison est spacieuse et la vue vraiment très belle ! Il nous a manqué quelques équipements de cuisine mais rien de bien grave. La maison est néanmoins accessible après une montée depuis le centre ville à 15-20 min donc vigilance si vous êtes à pied.

Super Aussicht auf den Hafen

Die Lage des Hauses ist toll. Man sieht jeden Tag die Kreuzfahrtschiffe ein und auslaufen. Der Weg in die Altstadt ist nur 15 Minuten. Dort findet man sehr viele Lokale jeder Preisklasse.

Perfect place to stay in Madeira

Every morning, we were able to get up and have a wonderful view, drinking fresh coffee, which was priceless. Regarding the location, it was easy to commute to the city center and to other places across the whole island. The kitchen is big enough and contains everything you need in order to prepare breakfast and dinner or supper on your own. Our host was great! He gave us exact instructions regarding e.g., how to enter the place and where to leave the car. Whenever we had any questions or issues, it was really easy to get in touch with him. Overall, our experience was really nice and we recommend this apartment to everyone looking for a lovely place to stay.

Amazing views, nice apartment and great hosts

We had an amazing experience in Funchal. We tried to go the early checkin tryouts since our flight from Porto landed early. The host was nice enough to wait for us at the apartment, allow us to drop our luggage, gave our keys so we can explore the island while the apartment was getting cleaned. Secondly we locked ourself up one evening when we were enjoying the view, the host again drove over in less than 15 minutes to let us back in. Amazing. The apartment was big, nice beds and fully functioning kitchen. Loved Madeira and would love to stay here again.
