I BASTIONI DEL PAPIRETO is an apartment located on the main floor of Palazzo Guccia, a historic building constructed in the 18th century on the Papireto bastion—also known as the Balata bastion—which was part of the city’s 16th-century wall system.<br>Very close to the city’s main attractions (the Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the Palatine Chapel, and historic markets), the palace is strategically located, allowing guests to explore the historic center on foot.<br><br> Palace It was built by Marquis Guccia Bonomolo, who was granted permission by the state to construct the building on the embankment of the Papireto bastion. <br>The palace’s main entrance is surmounted by the Guccia family’s coat of arms: a shield depicting a stormy sea, topped by an open shell onto which eight drops fall, flanked by two seven-pointed stars.<br>Upon passing through the entrance door, one steps into a courtyard dominated by a classical portal from which a double flight of stairs in pink Verona marble ascends.<br>On the right side of the courtyard is a fountain, once richly ornamented and currently undergoing restoration.<br>The apartment <br>has been recently restored, preserving its distinctive historical features.<br>Access is via the wide and comfortable main staircase that characterizes the building’s courtyard.<br>Once through the front door, you enter a spacious balcony shared with the apartment on the upper floor, which is the owner’s residence.<br>A second door leads into the apartment, which welcomes guests with a living area featuring a comfortable sofa and a smart TV.<br>Continuing on, you’ll find the dining room and the kitchenette.
