Convenient location to town, lots of space

I did not actually stay at the cottage, my daughter and son and their families stayed there. I can’t really speak to anything other than the fact they felt that it was not clean when they arrived.. They actually considered trying to move to another place, but decided against that and vacuumed and cleaned enough to allow them to stay. I did not see the house until the next day so I’m just reporting what they told me. I will leave it as a yes to recommend the property because they liked the proximity to town and there was plenty of space in the house.

Lovely Connemara stay

Ideal location for a weekend in Clifden village. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and was perfect for travelling with kids.

House needs serious attention!

Found house in need of a good clean top to bottom! Cobwebs, dirty floors, dirty surfaces etc. Outside also needs tided up to, weeds everywhere including the guttering. Showers weren’t great either out of the 4 in the house we only could use 1 that was downstairs. This house needs serious attention!

Enjoyed our stay

We very much enjoyed our stay in Clifden. Home/cottage was very cozy and comfortable and within walking distance to downtown. Definitely recommend:)

Stay in Clifden in June

This cottage is quite pleasant and very well placed for a discovery of the charming city of Clifden and Connemara. It's a very nice rental, very well equipped.

Basic accommodation in a great location

The cottage is in a great, quiet location, yet walkable to shops, restaurants and activities in town and a short drive to some beautiful coastal locations. It is very spacious ( we had a group of 6 adults), and we loved having a bathroom for each couple, however it could do with more seating in the living area ( there are bean bags to sit on but not very comfortable for older adults). Also the en-suite bathrooms are very small. The bedrooms ( bedding etc ) felt dated and not in great condition,eg the blinds were broke and could not be closed properly. Also some of the towels were dirty and bleached stained. ( but there were plenty so we just didn’t use those ones ) Be prepared to take every thing you need - there was very little hand soap or dishwash liquid ( they did bring these the next day when we asked for them ) and no supplies in any of the bathrooms ( like body wash, shampoo etc ) or kitchen ( no tea, coffee, sugar) Overall I would recommend based on location and layout of property but just be prepared that it’s pretty basic and a little outdated in some areas.

The 2 main advantages of this house are: - good location super close to city center (200meters) - 5 Bedrooms 5 bathrooms, giving family members good space.

Charming Accommodations

Our group really enjoyed our stay in Cottage 425 - Clifden. The accommodations were comfortable and the cottage had everything we needed for a lovely stay. We would definitely recommend Cottage 425 and would stay there again should our travels bring us back to Clifden.

Great place

We had a lovely weekend in Cottage 425 Clifden. The location is brilliant as you can walk into the town in a few minutes where there are loads of bars and restaurants. The house is very spacious and 8 of us and a baby had loads of space. James looked after us very well.

The beauty of Connemara

Love Connemara Cottages never disapoints! The family size home was perfect for my 6 guests. The close proximity to town is essential to enjoy all that Clifden and its surrounding towns have to offer!

Lovely house

The house was lovely but up a steep hill. We all enjoyed our stay. The showers downstairs were stiff but we managed them. The views are amazing and there is always something to watch

Lovely Clifden

Clifden is the ideal Irish town. Our house was very accommodating and in /a perfect location. We enjoyed going to the sites near Clifden. Wonderful!!! C

We stayed for a few days with a group of 8. Everyone had plenty of room. The location is convenient, with many shops, grocery stores and restaurants being easy walking distance. Easy drive to many local sites/attractions as well. The only issue we had is the laundry being small. It is not made to accommodate 8 people if you are gone most of the day, as we were. I would absolutely stay here again.

A well situated house suitable for a large group

We were a group of 8 adults who were there for 2 nights and found the house suitable for our needs. The kitchen is well equipped with ample cooking utensils and crockery. It was nice to have basic kitchen supplies ie salt/ pepper/ tinfoil and such. The heating system is dated but functioned ok. We did purchase sticks and lit the fire in the living room as we were there during a storm!!! The house is a 3 minute walk to the Main Street of Clifton so very convenient for shops and restaurants.

Whilst the house is at an amazing location, with beautiful scenery and lots to do, the property itself needs some updating. There was mould on the ceiling above the shower in one of the bedrooms. The ceiling in the kitchen was marked where it looked like there had been a leak. There were no instructions left for any appliances or any welcome pack explaining how things work etc. Main bathroom marks on the wall where it looked like a towel rail had been. For 7 adults there was insufficient seating (2 bean bags don't count) and we moved the small settee from the hallway into the living room so we could all sit together. it was the little things really - only 3 dishwasher tablets left, the back of the remote control for the TV was loose and kept falling off (battery compartment). Overall the property was good, but it really does need some attention.

Zunächst hatten wir eine schöne Zeit in Clifden! Das Ferienhaus hat uns leider etwas enttäuscht, da es online viel heller, freundlicher und moderner wirkte. Das Haus roch seltsam, im OG konnte ein Fenster nicht richtig geschlossen werden, die Rollos waren zum Teil defekt und somit unbeweglich. Wir haben diverse Hinterlassenschaften unserer Vorgänger gefunden (Trauben unterm Sofa, angelutschte Lollis). Die Duschen waren schwergängig und hatten sehr wenig Druck. Die Lage ist tatsächlich schön, der Wasserfall direkt vorm Haus sorgt für eine gewisse Grundlautstärke, aber Clifden ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erkundbar, das war prima!
