Enjoy the ideal getaway in our air-conditioned Beachcomber Studio, which is tucked away in the midst of magnificent lush tropical landscape covering a quarter of an acre. The mesmerizingly white sands of Poipu Beach are only a brisk five-minute walk away from the property.

We're conveniently located in the heart of Poipu Beach. This is a resort area with many restaurants, grocery stores and shopping located in a 1 mile radius.

Poipu Beach is consistently voted as one of the best beaches in the U.S and has sections for snorkeling, boogie boarding, beginner and intermediate surfing.

Many other activities include luaus, river and ocean kayaking, tubing, zip lining, golf, scuba diving, helicopter adventures, Na Pali snorkel trips, ATV rides, and sunset dinner cruises.

Off street parking. Many restaurants and shops are less than a mile walk away.

The pool that is pictured belongs to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club which is a 2 minute drive or a 10-15 minute walk away. Access may be available for an additional cost. Please inquire for details.

Relax on the luxurious pillowtop mattress of the king-sized bed after soaking in the deep tub. For your comfort and amusement, our Beachcomber Studio features a fully-stocked kitchenette and a large flat-screen television. Step out onto your own covered lanai and enjoy al fresco cooking on your gas grill.

Off-street parking, free high-speed internet access, plus thoughtful extras like beach towels, chairs, and a cooler are all provided to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Use the washing facilities; we provide detergent and dryer sheets for your comfort. Unwind in complete bliss, knowing that your every need has been anticipated and tended to at this magnificent hideaway.

It is best to rent a car. You can park in the parking spots available at the house.

Secluded Jungle Hideout

The first thing I figured out, is even with hot days in June, this room stayed cool just by using the screen at night and the blinds as needed, which is not much because a canopy of palm trees cover the entire front and patio. I enjoyed meals on the patio, and found everything I needed in the kitchen (and I grilled also) to prepare some fresh local ingredients. It's a beautiful short walk to the ocean, to multiple beaches, and to a bike rental, and a bar/grill. The property caretaker was very responsive by text as needed.

Quaint studio with prime beach walking location

Only complaint was a shower turn valve that was not fastened to the plumbing wall and pulled off, and one floor tile that was busted off when I arrived. Great price, great place, just needs a little attention 😁

Nice location

The location is great, a short walk to the beach. However, the unit is always damp and has a musty smell when the AC isnt running. Ventilation is poor. There was surface mold on the couch when i arrived.

Great Location at a Value

This studio is in a great location in a quiet, nice neighborhood only about an 8 minute stroll from Poipu Beach. It’s small and clean with a comfy bed and well-equipped kitchen. And manager Dan was always helpful with any questions or issues. If you’re looking for a luxurious, spacious sunny space where you can linger, entertain, and sip mai tais on a deck, this is not the choice for you. But, if like us, you wanted a good, basic, reliable non-hotel base location from which to do many great Kauai activities, this studio is a great grab. Would do it again. Oh, and don’t miss the dusk evening strolls to watch dozens of green turtles come ashore for the evening!

Beachcomber Studio

The Beachcomber is a quiet / comfortable studio condo with a kitchenette, closet, bath/shower, and king size bed. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and the outside grill is just a bonus. We initially thought the refrigerator was not working properly, but we just put too much room temp food in there and it took a while to cool it. It functions fine. The sliding glass door is a bit of a trick to lock, but it works fine as well. The property is close [1 block ] to the beach / sunset views and convenient to the airport, grocery, restaurants, etc. Laundry facilities are excellent and much appreciated. Warning: If you feed the chickens, they will become your best friends.

Great location, ok place

The studio is in a great location with an easy stroll to Poipu beach; so if you are going to be out and about all day, this would be a fine, reasonably priced crash pad. But if you are looking for a peaceful respite, I would not recommend. I needed to get some work done during my week stay and almost every day had leaf blowers, lawn mowers, and weed wackers going. For hours (either at this property or neighboring properties). The place is tired and not well kept - light switches fritzed out, coffee maker had mold, pots and pans were stained, bathtub had a hasty paint job to hide the rust. The place is dark and loud. You hear every conversation, shower, and toilet flush from the other vacation units in the building. Access to laundry is a plus and the local treats left in the fridge were a big plus (yum mac nuts!).

Perfect for us

Access to the property was very easy. The place was perfect for my wife and I. The beach was a short walk away. The property owner was very quick to respond to my inquiry about access to the pool and fitness center. Having access to the pool and gym is just a short drive away. We enjoyed the property very much! Thank you!

Wonderful stay!

This place was a perfect place to stay for our first trip to Kauai! Location was great, being only about a 5 minute walk to Poipu Beach and a good central location to other spots on the island (Waimea Canyon, Hanalei, and airport.) The place was clean and met all of our needs. Would recommend!

Not what was expected

Not enough lighting On the path to find the place flying in late at night. Mold in the bathroom, shower and on the shower curtain. Only one kitchen lightbulb worked. The door lock was hard to use chicken and rooster poop. Everywhere on the lanai was very overgrown on the path getting to the condo.

Great Week

We enjoyed our time on Kauai so much. We loved the location of this property. We appreciated having beach chairs and a cooler available for our use. Some of the draw backs were the location and accessibility of the pool. We feel like that was not explained well at all. Visitors need to be told up front that it’s a 30.00 per day charge and a first come first serve. And it is not conveniently located. Also, It would have been nice to have had more than 2 bath towels, especially since there is no housekeeping service. Finally, we had read in the description before we rented that the bathroom was not clean but, we were surprised at how unclean it really was. Despite these concerns we loved our time on the island and found this location perfect for all that we wanted to do.

Great Location

Just a short walk to a couple great beaches and tide pools. Restaurants also nearby. The property was lush and the fridge was stocked with local snacks. The lanai was nice for an afternoon beverage and grilling.

Studio near beach

We didn't hate it. It is close to the beach. It is reasonably priced. It is private. Everything you need is here. The laundry is a bonus. The landscaping is lush. Patio is private. The bed was comfortable. The management will return calls very quickly. Parking is a problem, many times at night all the.spaces were taken by other renters. The reason we would not come back is the horrible noise when people took showers in the other units. This unit is tucked under the house. It tends to be dark. There is plenty of lighting to offset the lack of natural light. I do not think the cleaning people are doing a great job. The jacuzzi tub is old but I didn't use it because it didn't appear clean. We wore our flip flops when showering. The unit does seem a bit worn. You will hear lots of noise from the other units, running water and foot steps, slamming doors. Lots of good lots of not so good.

We came into Kauai and stayed at Poipu. Saw turtles and monk seals. Give great food, love food trucks! The property was perfect for us! Had more stuff in it than we were expecting, pleasantly surprised!

My wife and I stayed for our anniversary and it was a great home base for island adventures. It was easy walking distance to Poipu beach and restaurants.

Great location but…….

It was a great place and location and the gift basket of snacks in the fridge was really nice. The only negative feedback is that bathroom felt uncleaned. There was a bathing suit left by a previous guest and mold on the shower curtain.

Great stay!

This property was great for our visit to Kauai. Very close walk to Poipu Beach, where the sea turtles surf and sleep. The bathtub could have been a bit cleaner - the jets seemed to be a bit dirty, but other than that it was great!

Great location with A/C

The location is good with Brennecke’s and Poipu Beaches only a 5-10 min walk away. We never had issues with parking at the apartment which is nice and the host provided some complimentary local snacks upon our arrival which was a really thoughtful touch! Also, it really is nice have have a place with A/C since it is not as common as expected at other properties on the island. The only downsides are you can get some noise from the unit above (this unit does have really nice high ceilings though so that could play a role) and the bathroom/shower could use some deep cleaning/updating compared to the rest of the unit. Overall, recommend this unit given the price point and location!
