We loved having you guys stay. Not only were you great company but you really got the house and the area. You had some genuinely interesting insights, would have loved to have overlapped longer!

Jeremy is a friendly host and his farmhouse lives up to the tranquil billing! Close to the lake, Cortona and Citta della Pieve. Comfortable beds, bathrooms are fine and the kitchen is great for cooking and a nice meal

The day before we were to check in the owner messaged me and said for our group of six people one of the only two bathrooms was not in service. And then the bathroom that was in service was very tiny shower that filled with water when one person took a shower. We also had to purchase our own toilet paper and Kleenex. Just an FYI, if you’re interested in renting this place make sure you are familiar with living in the country and the smells that go along with it.

I would like to apologise again for your not being able to use both bathrooms, a very considerable nuisance. The toilet needed replacing after the previous guests, and we only learnt the bathroom couldn’t be used the day before your arrival. While I did write to you immediately when alternate accommodation could have been found, I fear the significance of the situation only became clear on your arrival. I had hoped that by paying you financial compensation at the time for the inconvenience you would accept my apologies. But I do understand that this spoiled your experience, for which I am truly sorry.

A beautifully renovated property in a small hamlet on the outskirts of Castiglione del Lago. The accommodation is on the first floor of the building and there's a small terrace and two chairs to sit under cover, and access to the garden at the rear. There was a covered parking area adjacent to the property.There were four generous sized bedrooms all with air conditioning and two bathrooms located off a small study area. The kitchen was modern with a good range of crockery/cutlery and sufficient large pans for big family groups. The fridge/freezer was efficient and it was helpful to have a washing machine. There was air con in the kitchen and the attached lounge area, which had plenty of seating for our group of 5 adults.Castiglione is a lovely little town and the museum and castle walls are worth visiting for some great views. They were also doing the outdoor cinema in the castle walls during our visit which was a great experience despite the pesky mosquitos!It was easy to use Castiglione as a base and we took day trips out to visit Assisi and Montepulciano. In Castiglione we found the most fabulous gelateria (BeBop), and also had a lovely meal overlooking the lake at La Pigra Tinca and had amazing seafood linguine at restaurant Via Roma which we'd thoroughly recommend (and wish we'd discovered earlier in the week). Jeremy was responsive and gave helpful recommendations. The only thing we missed because of the heat, was a swimming pool! Excellent property.

Host was quick to respond to questions and concerns and offered great advice about the location. He understood our concerns and the house, though a bit tiny for our families of 8, was well appointed and had everything we needed...especially being big cooks.Only challenges were that it took two nights before the house truly warmed up with the heaters and the wonderful fire (it was very cold out...and can't blame the host for that!) And, being big cooks, when we would use oven as well as the stovetop at the same time for a meal, and with other electricity on in the house the breakers/fuse box would shut off. It made two nights of our stay a bit difficult to time our big "at home" dinners. Overall, very cozy, comfortable and it was a great location for us as it was only 10 min. from our new home in Castiglione Del Lago! Thank you!
This fire saved us on cold winter nights!

Es war ein wundervolles altes Haus mit Seele. Jedes Zimmer ist mit Charme eingerichtet. Wer ein perfektes, modernes und steriles Ferienhaus erwartet, ist hier falsch aber jeder, der die Seele Italiens spüren möchte, kann sie hier finden. Der Trasimeno See ist mit dem Fahrrad innerhalb von ca. 15min erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es im Umkreis von wenigen Fahrminuten. Innerhalb von ca. 2,5h ist man jeweils in Pisa, Rom oder San Marino. Deutlich näher dran sind natürlich Perugia oder Florenz. Der See läd natürlich zum Entspannen und Baden ein. Für Kinder ist es ideal gelegen, zwar an einer Straße, die aber nicht viel befahren wird. Außerdem sind durch die vielen Schlafzimmer genügend Rückzugsorte auch für Pubertiere vorhanden. Das W-LAN ist gut. Das Ferienhaus verfügt über alle Dinge, die man braucht. Ein Fernseher hat es nicht, aber das ist für uns auch nicht wichtig gewesen.Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt!
