THE PROPERTY
This house and site is perfect for a family, a fishing party, or any group looking for a place to rest, relax, and enjoy the beautiful lake setting. It has a view of the lake from an open dining/living room area, deck, and covered patio. There is ample private access to the lake, and a game house and lawn terrace for games.

ACTIVITIES
Lake activities include swimming, canoeing, rowing, paddle boarding or just walking or sitting by the shore around the fire pit or the over-water deck watching birds and other wildlife. The property is a ten minute drive from salmon fishing on the Swanson River and a half hour drive from the world famous Kenai River. Itā€™s ten minutes or less away from other great attractions such as Captain Cook State Park/Beach; the Nikiski Pool, ice rink, and skateboard park; and many stocked lakes for trout fishing.

AMENITIES
Grill your catch and have a dinner inside or outside at the covered patio. Inside, two bedrooms each sleep 2 and a sleeper sofa in the living room sleeps additional 2 guests. A full kitchen has settings for 6 persons and kitchen for cooking delicious meals, heating pizzas, or microwaving ready made meals. The house is furnished with a washer, dryer, extra freezer, binoculars, Bose Bluetooth speaker, satellite TV, DVD player, fire pit with outdoor chairs, row boat, paddle board and canoe. A separate game house offers air hockey, foosball, darts and more!

Perfect Lake Lodge

Will Lake Lodge is the perfect getaway for a family! The lodge itself is a quaint, the street and lake are quiet. Having direct lake access is a hot commodity. The hosts were amazing an incredibly responsive!

Perfect family getaway

We had a great time at Hanneleā€™s place. Itā€™s well stocked, comfortable, and the area and lake is super peaceful. The kids enjoyed the game shed, playing in the yard, swimming and paddling from the dock. The area is great for access to fishing. We heard loons every day and saw a moose. Awesome experience!

Absolutely wonderful home! So very clean! Beautiful views- setting right on a beautiful little lake, with a perfect canoe and row boat- and life jackets provided. Great game room! A beautiful and very comfortable home- the owner was very helpful with our questions about the area!!

Wonderful property

We had a great time at this house! The house has a great lake view and the kids loved the games in the outhouse. This was a perfect place to unwind between all the Kenai excursions. We had fun using the boat, canoe and paddle board. The outdoor area was great for BBQ and building fires in the evenings. I would definelty recommend this property - we were sad to leave!

Perfect getaway in a beautiful location!

Enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely location with plenty of room and privacy. The house was spotless and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We donā€™t have food delivery options where we live so having pizza delivery plus a quick swim in the lake made my day! Tons of room and flat ground. Cute shops nearby as well as a local market. Would love to go back for a longer stay next summer!

Lovely place on a lake

We had a wonderful time here. Hannele was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The house was very clean, with lots of attention to detail. Lovely welcome snack, full kitchen with coffee, monogrammed towels so everyone knows which one is theirs to use. Would definitely come back. Thank you!!!

Beautiful secluded property

This lake house was precisely what we wanted - a secluded and quiet stay next to natural beauty in a clean and super well appointed house. Everything about the house was so organized and logical. It was very clean too! The house itself is at the end of a dirt road overlooking a lake. We didn't see anyone for the entire time we were there, exactly what we wanted. The kids enjoyed the game house and we even took a row out on the lake. The best part is that I asked our host before we left if they happened to have Rummikub because our family has been addicated to playing - and she bought a set for the house! So all in all a perfect stay. I highly recommend Hannele's place and if we ever find ourselves in Kenai again, would definitely return.

Nikiski Lake House

The Lake house was everything it was promised to be. No issues with getting there or checking in. Plenty of things to do and view of the lake was outstanding. Did see a lot of wildlife even a moose wandered by. Would recommend this property for a relaxing get away for yourself and family. Thanks.

Outstanding, peaceful lakehouse!

We needed a getaway for a few days and boy are we glad we booked this property. Quiet, clean, convenient to amenities and activities while still being private. The hosts provide everything you could ever need! We have been all over Alaska and this house is at the top of our list. There were 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 dogs in our group, and we were very comfortable. The kids loved being able to swim off the dock, the activity room, and how close we were to Capt. Cook Rec Area. The hosts were immediate in their responses, but we really did not need anything! We will definitely book again!

Family getaway spot

We thoroughly enjoyed this VRBO, the owner is exceptionally responsive and courteous, we enjoyed the welcome with our names written on the highway blackboard. The lake was absolutely gorgeous and we loved using the canoe and paddle boat to explore, my favorite part was listening to the loons calling. Also enjoyed the game room and fire pit, we roasted hotdogs then had sā€™mores. Great family getaway time!

My family and I stayed here to celebrate the 4th of July and our 5th wedding anniversary, and the only regret we have is that we didnā€™t stay for longer! Hannele has everything you need and more at the house, from water activities to in-home activities. The check-in process was super easy and they even add personal touches and are extremely hospitable. The house was very clean, everything was in good working order, and there was great instructions on how everything worked. Thereā€™s so many places to hang out both inside & out, and thereā€™s options for shade as well as soaking up the sun. This is THE perfect place to stay if you want lakefront with your family (even your dog!). We will definitely be coming back!

End of year family glamping.

Love this property! The owners are great and take great care in the property. This is the second time there. We all (son, daughter in law, grandsons and good family friends) had a great time especially around the camp fire (my favorite). The new game room addition was a hit with the teens as well as adults. The tranquility and beautiful nature and lake are so refreshing from daily life. We went boating, hiking, bicycling, painted rocks. We hope to make this a yearly trip. Thank You for letting us enjoy your property again.

Great cozy home on a relaxing lake.

Our family had a wonderful stay at wik lake lodge, we had moose come visit us multiple nights. The fire pit was great in the evening and the owners were very nice and informative! Would recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.

I truly enjoy living and working in Alaska; definitely one of the best places in the US. Alaska has to offer so much for visitors as well. We have spent many memorable moments at the Wik Lake with our family and friends. This property offers all our favorite things to do: rowing and paddling on the lake, swimming and just enjoying the water birds and the serene lake setting. The kids (and adults :) have fun in the game house playing air hockey and foosball.

This property has a connections to my home country. The Wik Lake is named after the Wik family, immigrants from Finland. The gentleman who built the house has a Finnish mother! We were fortunate to be able to purchase the property and very happy to offer it for our quests enjoyment!
