Fantastic ocean view, large unit with all you need for a week stay. Away from the busiest area of Kihei and quiet. Condo is clean but could use a little TLC - master bath door doesnā€™t close, all sliding doors are challenging, master AC didnā€™t work but provided fans made it bearable. On-site and off-site management kind and helpful. Called and reported the AC issue and maintenance checked right away.

Awesome views!

Great place to stay, nice location just north of the busier area of Kihei. Condo was totally stocked with everything we needed minus food. Only thing negative thing I would say is the place could use a deeper cleaning and some attention to the sliding doors.

Beautiful views

Ocean Views from balcony were beautiful and conveniently located to shopping and dining. Needed maid service for a 7 night stay. Ran out of toilet tissue, garbage bags, and fresh linens would have been nice. Needed more outside furniture for 4 people.

Paradise View

I love the property. It was a perfect view and had nice grounds for family gatherings. Nice BBQs with tables by the pool area. They have shuffle board and a putting green. There are several beaches close by and Safeway and Foodland are just down the ride. Our family had a few different condos, and the two buildings are close enough together to walk back and forth to each others rooms, and easy to meet up in the middle. We had a wonderful time. The only thing was there were only 2 beach towels. Everywhere I've ever stayed at the beach has always had an abundance of beach towels. They take awhile to dry, so it's nice to have a few extras. We would shay there again.

No Management during check in or check out

This property needs a lot of work. The office hours are only 10-4. Those are the check in and check out times. Management on property was terrible. We learned most of we needed to know though the maintenance Staff and other guest.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would give the unit 5 stars, except for the following the toilets both need to be changed, they are un-usually noisy. The 2nd bathroom tub is very well worn & could use updating. The first dinner plate I took from cupboard was covered in what appeared to be Olive Oil & I immediately washed all plates, cutlery & glasses. The vacuum needs to be replaced, it actually puts out more dirt then picks up. I was not happy that the free internet was un-secured-make a code & give it your guests. The unit should come with more kitchen cloths- there is only 1 dish rag & two towels, I dont want to always be doing laundry on vacation. Overall a very good stay.

This vrbo was perfect for us! The views were incredible from every room. We watched whales everyday from lying in bed to the living area. The kitchen was well stocked and the extra bedding and blankets were great. We loved the location. We rented a car and restaurants and beaches were close. There were beach chairs, coolers, goggles, beach towelsā€¦ so many things to help enjoy our stay. From checking in to leaving was very easy. We will check to see if this is available when we get to go back to Maui. Mahalo to the hosts! This was our favorite!

This condo has little issues. Plugs don't work, furniture old and dirty, condo was not cleaned good, TV in king room had too short of extension cord to work, can opener broken, lamp shades stained and coming apart, etc. The view was great but please realize it is up against public park. Also beach is rocky and shallow. Otherwise our stay was ok.

This unit was NOT up to par! The description was ā€˜recently renovatedā€™. We took that to mean it was all updated and pleasantly appointed. I think the only renovations were new flooring and countertops. That part was fine, but just barely enough dishes for 4, (nothing matched) sliding doors to outdoor decks were extremely hard to operate, electrical plugs dangerously exposed, t paper holders falling off the wall, shower heads lose from wall, barely enough seating for 4, etc. Not much to write home about. So disappointing for the price we paid. The best part was the BEAUTIFUL view of the ocean!

Hot water turned off in kitchen-couldnā€™t use dishwasher. Check in too late, check out too early. Bedroom lanai wonā€™t open. Pillows no good. Drawers fall out of dresser. Found it clean and well stocked. Appreciate beach chairs. Tub needs grab bar at foot. Master shower head needs upgrade. Thanks for letting us stay.

Whale watching from the balcony

We've stayed for a week in unit 535 and we love the beach front views and access, The decor is not-modern but the unit is comfortable and spacious We highly recommend to stay here !!! (The only thing we didn't understand is why we had to download the hospitality app. and why weren't all the needed codes sent in advance or written in the unit welcome folder)

What a view

We had a great time. After arriving late at night when the power was out throughout the complex, the rest of the week was wonderful. The view of the bay from the balcony was spectacular. The condo was clean and well-equipped with plenty of room for the 4 of us. When we decide to go back to Hawaii, we will definitely consider staying here again.

Great location but horrible bed and Wi-Fi. Has some nice amenities

We enjoyed the location and view, but the bed in the master bedroom is horrible. I have pictures of how it sags under no weight. So our sleep was terrible. The Wi-Fi in kauhale makai 535 worked intermittently for 2 days then not at all for the remaining 4. I called the property management from literature in email and in the condo, and they said they'd send someone over in the next couple days. When I called back 2 days later they said they don't do that. They asked if I'd called the owner and suggested that was my responsibility. They then gave me the phone number of the internet provider, expecting me to troubleshoot the problem beyond what we'd already done. The system was likely around 10-15 years old, which is archaic for technology. The condo AC worked well, and it was equipped with helpful items in general for enjoying the beach. It was also spacious, and it met our other needs and expectations. The kitchen had all basic accessories needed so we were able to enjoy some home cooked meals and save some money. I'd trust an infant with most of the provided knives though. One of the pans I pulled out had a grease slick on it though. Can I say I liked it? We loved Maui. The condo no not so much. Sleep is important! My wife and I got 3-4 hours nightly, constantly tossing and turning. We both had lower back spasms from sleeping with bodies twisted from the bed. We only killed one cockroach, but it's like it was our greeter at the front door! We didn't see any others after killing it. I know that's a problem in the islands so wasn't too disturbed personally and laughed it off. Note: I rated 2 šŸŒŸ cleanliness because there's no rating to capture the horrible bed. It would otherwise get 3 stars for cleanliness due to the pan and cockroach.

Perfect for our stay.

The condo was nicely decorated. Kitchen had everything we needed for the one dinner we cooked in it. Though it could use a new can opener. It has amazing views of the ocean and wonderful sunset views. The walk through the lawn to the beach was great. Was perfect condo for our stay. Had everything we needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Aloha Maui Rental Group. Thank you for a wonderful 3 weeks. Had the good luck to meet families from Maui during our stay and get good advice on driving and beaches and food. Alix was so responsive to our questions. Our daily highlight was to sit on our lanai and watch the sun go down as we ate supper. The barbeque was a fun place to meet other Canadians who were happy to share where to go and what to see. Every room had a view of paradise, and we were six minutes away from Kam Beaches and 3 minutes from groceries and services. The walking beach in front of the Kaulale Makai was quiet and beautiful ~ found sea urchins on our walks. Just wonderful! We'll be back.

Reviewer Comments: The entire complex at Kauhale Makai is in need of some general repairs. The concrete on the balconies and walkways to access the apartments is in need of some repair. The window screens in the smaller bedroom needs to be repaired / replaced. Nice view of the water, but not a swimmable beach, water is very cloudy from the drainage of fresh water into the salt water. Overall this is a very good condo to use as a base to explore the rest of Maui. The cost is very good for the amenities that you receive. When we return to Maui we will consider this condo as an option again.

Comfortable Oceanfront Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay in this Kihei condo. The building, grounds and unit were not quite as pristine as pictured. Exterior paint and public areas need upgrading (tired paint, chipped and worn walkways, trash not cleaned up daily). Interior of unit could use a deep cleaning (carpet needs cleaning/stretching), armchair looked grimy,trim paint and baseboards chipped and dusty). But unit was furnished nicely and the view was great! Note: limited spa hours and lukewarm spa water, pool was COLD. Building management didn't seem caring or responsive. Unit managers were were very pleasant and helpful. Would not stay again as we like being closer to the water.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was spacious and had a few beach amenities. However, there was significant rot in the baseboards, the old carpet was rippled and stained. There weren't enough utensils, the beds needed replacing badly as did all of the linens. The front door key code changed early, and then changed again early after being changed.
