Welcoming hosts, good communications before and during stay. Great location near town centre, house had everything we needed, beds were comfy.

Great place to stay

This was a great place to stay! St Albans is a lovely town and the train to London was easy. I would highly recommend this property.

Charming home in an ideal location. Friendly, warm, and super responsive hosts. A short walk to lovely shops, delicious restaurants, and the train station to London. We will be definitely visiting again!!

Wonderful St Albans property !

A fantastic location, situated perfectly within St Albans, easy access by walking to key sites of this beautiful city. The home itself was great, clean, with comfortable beds, on a quiet street and was a beautiful Georgian property yet, equipped with all the modern necessities. We had great communication with hosts and felt extremely welcomed into their lovely home. We can't wait to return in 2025 !

Lovely home for our family to base for our son’s wedding.

We loved the house which had a very well equipped kitchen and we really appreciated a kitchen which had everything a family needed. The shower was great too. Chris and Helen were very responsive and gave us many handy tips. Genuinely kind helpful people.

Perfect family base

We were attending a family wedding and needed somewhere for the whole family to stay and for various relatives to visit. The house was well equipped. We had my elderly mother staying, who found the stairs tricky, so a sitting room on the ground floor would have made it perfect. We had a wonderful stay, and the hosts could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended this property for a fun stay in this lovely town.

Perfect location and comfortable beds!!

We were very pleased with our stay!! Can’t beat the location, size of the house, amenities and the wonderful hosts. We had one very small concern and Chris took care of it straight away. The beds were very comfortable, great shower, plenty of kitchenware and anything else you might need while staying here. The pub across the street was not only convenient but also welcoming and had good beer. If we ever need a place to stay when visiting family again, this place will be would be our first option. Thank you Chris and Helen!!

Amazing

Had a fabulous time staying in this beautiful house. It’s in a great location with everything you need within easy walking distance. Communication with Chris was very easy and he was a great host. Met us at the property on Friday to give us a tour and gave us some recommendations on where to eat and drink. Great host and brilliant house. If you’re thinking about staying here do not hesitate - do it! Cheers Chris!

Amazing English Visit!

What a gem! We decided to come to the UK to spend a holiday with our family. St Albans has always been a place the family enjoys visiting - although close to their home. Chris and team helped with every detail - including help plan for activities and events at the home (cooked a Christmas meal). The beds were comfy, house clean and felt amazingly homey. The location was amazing and a parking spot was the icing on the cake. This allowed all the activities we had planned and family to join easily. We literally needed for nothing and had a successful holiday - thanks to Chris and team! We will definitely be back. Would highly recommend

Harry and Donna's Wedding

We were keen to stay somewhere in St. Albans to be near to the wedding venue, not only for the day itself, but so we could help as much as possible the day before, and we really hit the jackpot with no.22. Chris and Helen could not have been more helpful, everything worked exactly as described and we felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. The house is lovely, and our party including little Piper (2) and Luna (dog) absolutely loved it. Dylan loved the piano too (27, pianist!). The house is right in the centre of the city, minutes from the high street, the cathedral and the park, and this made the whole event so much easier and more relaxed. All in all, a perfect stay, perfect place and perfect hosts. Thank you!!

Greatly appreciated Chris's communication with us in advance of our stay, to help us with logistics. I also thank him for his accommodation with messaging on the VRBO platform until we were able to successfully get WhatsApp working. Excellent location within St. Albans; a 3-5 minute walk to some lovely restaurants and stores; pubs directly across the street and down a block or two; 15 minute walk to St. Albans City Station with convenient service into London. A plus having a lovely baby grand piano on site to boot! For light sleepers, will note the closely situated pub had some loud revelers in the street on Sat night (during World Cup to boot), which might make deeper sleep more tricky; this was fine for the remainder of our stay. Overall, a favorable home-base for activities in St. Albans and suburban proximity to London, and 5 stars for the hosts' communication and hospitality.
