The chalet is located on the edge of Le Cheylard on the former railway line that runs alongside the river. Trains have not used the line for years. The tracks were removed in 1968 to make way for a peaceful little road that is only used by local residents, hikers and cyclists. A variety of hiking and cycle paths start here and run through or past a range of magnificent vistas. The town of Le Cheylard is where the rivers Eyrieux ( including Gorges) and Dorne meet.
