A similar journey in the opposite direction would have you in Inveraray castle or Jail both very interesting tourist attractions and indoors. The world famous Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is en-route and perfect for lunch/dinner stop. A 15 min ferry from kilcreggan pier would have you in Gourock and its heated outdoor pool which is quite pleasant on a rainy day.
