This cottage was amazing! So much room, well stocked kitchen with everything you need, pots, pans, dishes. The backyard is everything I wish I had at home! We have family that lives in the area and had a great bbq in the backyard. The fire pit kicked it up. Will definitely come back.

We already miss Sea Salt Cottage! A lovely home with eveything you need. Great outdoor shower/bath, beautiful yard, lovely porch with a fan and comfy furniture. We also loved the firepit after dark. Eveything was really great. Thank you!

Our stay was wonderful! The house exceeded our expectations and Beth was gracious and helpful with suggestions and responses to my inquiries. The amenities were plentiful and the house was cozy and comfortable with beautiful decor and style. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower and soaking tub as well as the fire pit and lounging deck. I am very sensitive about the environments in which I stay, and this house ticked all the boxes for comfort and soothing my soul.

We were overjoyed to spend a few days at Beth’s lovely home on West Island. Whole family enjoyed cooking in the beautiful, well-stocked kitchen and grilling outside. Firepit, porch, and backyard were so relaxing. Perfect place for family time playing games, riding bikes around the island, and going for a hike at the state reservation. Beth was helpful, available and communicative. We are grateful to have had the chance to be together in this comfortable and well-appointed home. Truly home-away-from-home. Will look forward to coming back for another visit to this tranquil island and perfect home.

the property is advertised as a bath and 1/2. a outdoor shower is not a 1/2 bath.

Hi Marsha I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I have tried to fix this error prior years saying it is one bath inside and a shower outside. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I am going to try to edit this again. It is unfortunate that it may lower my ratings for this 4 star review. .

Great place to stay, location is excellent! The owners take great care of the home and there is plenty of space! I loved the back porch with the ceiling fan, great place to relax! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Hostess communication was amazing and the house itself is SO thoughtfully done. It is deceiving from the outside too in terms of how spacious and open the living area is into the kitchen. Every decoration has been very well thought through and the kitchen itself was incredibly stocked with any possible tool or cooking implement you could ever need!

Beautiful house, beautiful island

Very clean, very comfortable home. The island is beautiful. The beaches and bike trails are perfect and the surrounding area is very comfortable. Great place for a family vacation

My family of four absolutely loved our stay here. The house is perfect, we did not want to leave! It was so nice to be so close to the beaches & ice cream shop! We had a really great summer vacation here.

Perfect beach getaway

Sea Salt Cottage is beautifully designed and decorated, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway: beach, porch sitting area, firepit, outdoor shower, bright and spacious kitchen, quiet neighborhood, ice cream shop and restaurant within walking distance, and more. This was our fifth stay here, and we will be back!

Our family loved our time at Sea Salt Cottage. The listing was just as described, the community was so cute and the beaches were beautiful. Everyone we met on West Island was so nice and accommodating. Our hosts were super communicative and gave us a ton of recommendations about the island and surrounding areas. Our five year old son didn’t want to leave! We will definitely be visiting again!

Wonderful stay

My family of four adults had a wonderful weekend. This home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with many amenities. We especially loved the landscaping and the backyard fire pit area. We rode the bikes around the island, took walks, played corn hole and thoroughly enjoyed being together. Thank you for making your home available for us to enjoy.

We were so thrilled with Beth and her home. We were looking for a bit more space for our little family, and this place was perfect. The island is great and a nice secluded little community. We hope to return next year.

Lovely cottage

we loved our stay at Sea Salt Cottage- the property was well kept and very clean. The kids enjoyed smores every night at the firepit, bike rides around the island and ice cream from West Island Creamery. Beth was also a very responsive host. Highly recommend a stay here- the cottage brought us back to our New England childhood!

Relaxing get away

West Island is unique, sweet, quiet spot. Perfect to relax, spend time with family and enjoy outdoor activities. Beaches all near by and we found wonderful tennis/pickle courts at the beach at State Park Fort Phoenix just a 15 minute drive. Beth is as super helpful with any questions about the area and the house. The house had everything you could think of in the kitchen. We loved the fire pit for s’mores. Overall, just what we were looking for.

Amazing first VRBO experience

This was our family of 4 first experience with a VRBO and it was amazing. The Sea Salt Cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved riding the bikes through out the island and the other amenities the cottage offered. Beth, the owner, was so easy to communicate with and offered so much information for activities to do in the area. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying here.

Thanksgiving Relaxation

This property was just as described. It was perfect for quiet time and relaxation for my daughter and me. Beth was fabulous to deal with and was great with her communication. We would definitely stay again! Thank you.

Perfect beach getaway

Beth & Steve are amazing hosts! Sea Salt Cottage is a true gem. The location can't be beat: only a mile from the private beach on West Island and only 15 minutes from the New Bedford ferry terminal. The house is so comfortable inside and out, with a gorgeous kitchen, a cozy back porch, outdoor shower, swing, lawn for games, and a firepit. Our family has stayed at Sea Salt Cottage for four years in a row and can't wait to go back next year!

Thanks for our stay at sea salt cottage!

I want to keep this short and sweet so I will just say, sea salt cottage is as beautiful and relaxing as the pictures make it look! The area of the location is wonderful, the beach is so close, and everything you could possibly need for your stay is at this house. Perfect New England getaway for friends. Beth was so helpful and responsive, and she gave us so many great suggestions. 100% would stay again.
