Enjoy beautiful ocean views from the brand new 2 level patio with ample comfortable seating! Relax and enjoy the view in the cozy sunroom. Play lawn games like croquet , bocce ball, Can-Jam on the large, grassy yard. (lawn games included) Our beach house offers not only spectacular ocean views but is a short drive to multiple public beaches. A beach pass to West Island beach is included to be used any day during your stay. Beach chairs. umbrella and cooler provided! At night, relax around a crackling fire by the outdoor fire pit. Nearby, enjoy the Phoenix bike / walking trail, Mattopoisett Rail Trail, play grounds, mini golf, pickle ball courts, sea side restaurants, Cisco brewery (on the water), live music, historical sights and much more. No Bike? No worries! Rent a bike at a nearby bike rental shop. For day trips, we are not far from Martha's Vineyard ferry, Cape Cod , Plymouth, Boston and Newport RI. Many beaches in the area and Water Wizz water park only 20 minutes away. Another bonus... A Public boat launch is 2 minutes away; bring your boat or jet ski! (Disclaimer: The small private beach at the end of the street is not available to short term renters)

We had a wonderful time in Fairhaven! Fabulous quiet location, the west island beach is a secret sanctuary. Dorann was lovely to work with, very responsive and committed to us having the best vacation possible. Really thrilled to have found this spot!

Wonderful property lots of new upgrades kitchen counters and brand new bathroom , the host was very accommodating and helpful with local attractions and dining sites , wouldn’t hesitate to book again .

Very comfortable and very clean. A great beach house and base for summer activities in an area with many activities and sights to see. Dorann is very responsive to any questions and was very willing to give advice on where to eat and things to do locally.

Great Location

My family had a great time during our stay at this property. Dorann provided a fantastic list of nearby activities and recommended restaurants upon our arrival. My only regret was not having spent more time in the area. Highly reccomended, and i would certainly stay here again.

Great Getaway

The house is located in a small community and my kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the quiet roads. It was a great home base for exploring the areas beaches and other attractions. The owners were helpful and enhanced our visit by offering suggestions of things to do in the area.

What we liked most about our stay was the location. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. This is also a great location for day trips to many locations throughout MA, The cape Boston, Rhode Island. I enjoyed mornings on the patio, with my coffee, watching the birds and bunnies.

Peace & Quiet with a View

Lovely area, extremely quiet, great outdoor patio with a view of the bay side where you can watch the osprey nests, and windmills. It's a short drive to the beach or shopping. The Whaling Museum is a short drive and worth a visit. The owners are updating the interior - but as is, it is very clean and has everything you need to be comfortable. Will stay again.

Accessibility to beaches

It was a great place to stay. The beaches unfortunately are private and not accessible to “renters “. The neighborhood was not particularly friendly to those not in the private neighborhood “club.” The view was wonderful and the hosts were great , friendly and accommodating .

We had a great two weeks in Fairhaven.

The house is in a wonderful location, handy to stores and restaurants, and with a fabulous view. The rooms were spacious and well-furnished; and the outside decks were excellent for entertaining family and friends. The weather was hot (in the 90’s some days), so AC in the bedrooms and a ceiling fan in the living room would bump the review up to five stars. Would definitely consider renting this property again!

What a quaint house! We stayed for a weekend to visit family, so we did not use the kitchen. B it the kitchen he everything you would need to cook as if you were at home. The beds are comfy and the bathroom looks to be recently remodeled. The living could easily seat 8 people. The hardscape in the side yard is great too. We sat out there in the morning to eat breakfast and watched birds and bunnies eat. The location of the house is also ideal, close to stores and the beach.

Great place to relax without crowds.

We had a great time and enjoyed the house and neighborhood so much. The beach is a short walk and great to not have to drive or worry about crowds. We used her paddle boards a bunch and brought our kayaks as well. The bay was super warm and calm. We also biked to the bike path and down to the fort. Was such a great find and looking forward to coming back again next year.

Cute house, great spot, needs some polishing.

Cute fifties cottage in a beautiful location close to attractions. Lovely new patio, sizable yard, and access to a tiny beach kids will enjoy. We did feel that a good deep-cleaning would be beneficial, possibly in the bathroom but definitely in the kitchen. The kitchen (mostly original) could be cute if restored, but the years haven’t been kind, and lots of cooking and sink splatter have left their mark. There was a somewhat funky smell in the kitchen—maybe years of use without enough cleaning? Cute home, great spot, but some cleaning and maintenance would enhance it.

Excellent! Great Family Vacation!

This is a perfect location spot for our family of 5. Our children ages 9,12 and 13. Its a beach house and is comfy and perfect with everything you need! If you are looking for luxurious, it is not...but perfect for sandy feet and tanned little bodies looking to play all day on your very own PRIVATE BEACH ! It is within walking distance and we loved it every day.

Great family vacation

We had a nice time here. My kids and I loved the paddle boards, and it was an easy walk to the beach. The beach was much smaller than I anticipated, but never felt crowded and everyone was friendly. Lots of exploring to do when the tide was out. Dorann was welcoming and we overall had a wonderful family vacation.

Beautiful area

The neighborhood was perfect! We went paddle boarding at the beach just a minute walk down the road. Having morning coffee while looking at the water was absolutely beautiful, too. A couple minor issues like the toaster didn’t work and the smart TV but the outside space was so nice it didn’t matter. Thanks for the fun week!

Quiet cottage

Great, quiet location. Excellent communication with host. 2/3 mattresses in need of replacement and were uncomfortable. Some dishes were dirty when we arrived.

Wonderful home away from home and quick access to gorgeous beach

Wonderful and well-maintained property. The house is cozy with nice beach decorations and has the most amazing view of the ocean. House had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There are so many places to sit outside and unwind (lots of room for games and lounging) so we spent many relaxing hours on the porch admiring the view and area. Our host was very accommodating and respected our privacy. She greeted us upon arrival which was nice. It rained most of our time while there but we still enjoyed the house and surrounding area. The beach is so close (2 minutes walking), very private feel, and ocean water was wonderful. We would definitely visit again! Thank you!

Cottage in Fairhaven.

Spacious cottage in cozy neighborhood close drive to beaches. Local Beach is quite small but can still take paddle boards kayaks out. Children prefer to go to a bigger Beach. In retrospect we probably would get a little closer to West Island or be on the other side of Sconicut Neck Rd, only because of more swimmable Beach would have been readily available to us. Otherwise it was a very lovely cottage and plenty of room for everyone.

Great Family Spot

Came here for a week long vacation with my husband and 4 kids (6 years old and under). What a great spot. There was a grassy yard for kids to run around in and the beach was an easy walk away. The water was not too deep and at low tide you could enjoy checking out crabs, fish, snails, and great seashells. Really enjoyed using the paddle board. The house had good size rooms and a really nice sun room at the back that looked out at the bay. There was lots of outdoor seating options on the patio to enjoy visiting together outside or just relaxing alone. Highly recommend this rental property.

Not only does the rental include unlimited access to the association beach at no charge, but there are so many other things to do in the area. There are many public beaches within a short drive as well as restaurants, historical sites, bike paths. Take a walk down the cobblestone streets of New Bedford and enjoy shopping, concerts, art galleries, restaurants and theatre.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The private association beach is a gem and Just a 2-3 min walk. The cost is included with the rental and because it is private, you can enjoy an alcoholic beverage at the beach. The house comes with everything you need for a day at the beach: cooler, umbrella, beach chairs, paddle boards. The water is warm and calm, perfect for paddle boarding and exploring many little islands and waterways. Water shoes highly recommended.
