This is a typical English countryside estate. The location is difficult to find only because it is so far off the beaten path, if we had followed all the instructions, we would have found it on the first try. The facility is decorated extremely well with works of art, the Great Room is a highlight of any residence we have ever been in. It's old, it's quirky, but it grows on you. Make sure to visit the old church, cemetary, and Catherine Parr ruins across the street.

Pontos positivos: Limpeza, check-in, comunicação, localização e precisão do anúncio
Charming eclectic style meets real history and architecture. This property is whimsical and quirky. The property is welcoming. But what it truly has is historical significance. Once part of Henry the 8th last wife’s property, it’s all that’s left. Catherine Parr’s massive estate is gone now but for small ruins you can see. This property used to be the local town hall. The church across the road, St Andrew’s is quiet now but you can go in and look around. The most interesting thing right there is Toddington Hall. The design was copied to build The Parliament in London. Covered in scaffolding for the last 20 years by a mad artist, Damion Hirst. And you’re right in the thick of it. Centrally located you are near Sudley Hall which you can tour. Catherine Parr is buried there. There’s a train station where you can ride to Broadway, a thriving, old world community. In town, there’s a small modern market with everything you need and the Pheasant Pub. Great food and atmosphere. If you have young children, I might remind that you are surrounded by art and antiques. But, for an older child, no matter. This is the perfect location to tour the Cotswolds.

Eight of us (Welsh and Americans) stayed for five days, including a two-year-old. It was magical! The home is sprawling and the grand hall is grandeur personified. It was also such a fun house, with costumes and games and books and delightful artwork everywhere. The great hall is the size of a swimming pool with soaring ceilings. Also a hammock! The home is located in a small village where we met several friendly residents who recounted its history as the village hall. There are several seating areas in the front garden and an expansive lawn. The house is quirky and untraditional, definitely not made for those who are seeking something typical. But if you, like us, want something you will marvel at and remember forever, this place is for you!
