Nice home in great setting

Very nice, clean and private home with great garden and parking area just off the Main Street. 6 min walk to 1st tee.

Great house for a group of 7 golfers

Rooms are amazing, each with a bathroom. There is also a toilet between kitchen and living room.

Great location for St Andrews and layout was perfect for our golf trip. Big kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast daily. No issues. Will book again next year.

Incredible stay in A+ location

This house actually may have undersold and over-delivered. It was incredible and the location does not get better. Well appointed with everything you could need. Fiona the owner was amazing and the welcome and responses time to queries was instant. I highly recommend this to anyone viewing. You'll love i!

Perfect location and arrangement

It is perfectly located close to the golf courses, restaurants, pubs, grocery stores, etc. Always clean and the host is awesome to work with.

Fantastic

We were eight golfers who had a fantastic stay in the house. The house is fully equiped with everything you need. Perfect beds with total comfort in everything. Couldn´t be better!

Wonderful spot in St. Andrews

This was a great place for our foursome of golfers to stay from all perspectives: location, amenities, comfortable beds… the works! Would certainly recommend it to friends for golf or for a family headed to the Auld Gray Toon.

A true Gem

We loved staying at Abbostford! The house had more than enough room for our family of 5. It was beautifully decorated and very cozy. The location was fantastic and our boys loved being able to walk to golf every morning as well as restaurants and pubs in the afternoon/evening. Fiona and Lynne were easily reached and communicated very clearly when we had questions. We were particularly impressed with all the attention to details. There were fresh flowers in a few rooms as well as a welcome basket of food and even a partially stocked refrigerator with breakfast items! We plan on coming back to St Andrews and would definitely stay at this property again if it is available! Thank you Fiona and Lynne for such a memorable stay!

Perfect St. Andrews Location

First class experience for our entire family celebrating a graduation. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The flat was perfect and the outdoor patio was a special gathering spot. We were located a few minutes walk from everything in town as well as the special views overlooking the ocean as the sun set. Thank you for making this a memorable time for our family.

family get together

This house was perfect for us. We had a wedding in St Andrews and we all love the location. As each bedroom has its own bathroom, my elderly mother, my two sons and their wives, and me and my husband were able to enjoy each other in the large living/kitchen area and have our own privacy in our bedrooms. The house is located within walking distance of everything, so you can come and go without worry of a car. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at Burness House again.

I could not recommend a stay at this flat in the heart of St. Andrews more highly. Hosts were gracious and extremely helpful. Location was 10/10 perfect. Clean, well appointed, centrally located - nothing more we could have asked for. Thank you so much

Perfect home to base from during grad week. Thank you Fiona and L unnecessary for making it so easy. Hoping next time we visit they’ll have spruced up the gardens on either side!

outstanding customer service and great location

Fiona and Lynne were outstanding hosts! the house was amazing and in the perfect location for all that St Andrews has to offer. This is the best house rental I've ever had and would definitely rent from Fiona again.

8 Golfers Sharing 1 House

Since there are very few reviews of this house I was a little concerned that it was not a legitimate listing, but took the chance to book and prepay and we were very pleased. The 4 bedrooms with 8 twin beds and 5 bathrooms were perfect for our group of 8 golfers. All of the beds were very comfortable and there was always hot water no matter what your shower schedule. The ground floor contains the cozy living room/lounge with just enough room for all of us to sit and talk or watch the lone TV in the house. To me, having only 1 TV is ideal. That means that you can always get away from it if you want. The kitchen is also cozy, with a large table and 8 chairs. It's stocked with more than enough plates, cutlery, glassware, and pots and pans. We cooked dinner in 1 night with no problems. That also then made the dishwasher appreciated. Our golf was enjoyed through 7 days of rain, so the washer/dryer got a lot of use as well. We had two vans, and with a little help from a fellow golfer I was able to gingerly navigate the driveway into the parking area. Our second van was a little larger and that driver chose not to park by the house, but found a free parking lot right across the street. The best part of the house is the location. You can walk anywhere you want in the small town of St. Andrews. The 18th green of the Old Course is less than a 5 minute walk away, and the 3 main streets of St. Andrews are within easy walking distance with the Tesco grocery store about 5 minutes away. Fiona Clark was very easy to communicate with, always returning emails within a few days. I do wish that she would take credit cards, Paypal, or HomeAway payments. I had a hard time with the bank transfer, so I sent personal checks for the deposit and the final payment, still not sure that this was a legitimate listing. After the final payment was processed, Fiona Clark gave me an email address and phone number for Lynne Tait, who manages the property. She also was easy to reach by email and phone. Lynne met us at the property and showed us around, explaining how to use the appliances, etc. She even left a few food items for us to use to get started on our first day in town. Lynne was great to deal with in every regard. As the group organizer for a bunch of friends, you always hope that everyone is happy with your choices. I can guarantee that all 8 of us would book 3 Abbotsford Place again. Bob B., Downers Grove, Illinois
