Fantastic place to stay

The best holiday let we have ever stayed in by a distance. Fully equipped to a very high standard for both humans and dogs. The host was very communicative and could not have been more helpful. Highly likely that we will return.

An Absolute Gem

Jack's Shack is simply the best! Fabulous location, every room immaculate, well stocked kitchen, comfy lounge area, the beds were really comfortable. Caroline, the owner, had thought of everything and we were delighted. The Garden caught the sun in the afternoon so we spent many hours just chilling on the amazing garden furniture. The welcome pack was astonishing, thank you! Home from Home and more.

Our stay was too short

I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a well equipped cottage. It was absolutely spotless and everything supplied was to a very good quality (found a new favourite shower gel). Communication from the host was second to none and went above and beyond to make our stay easier. Amazing

Jack's Shack

We have just spent a wonderful week at Jack's Shack at Winterton. What a wonderful cottage, so comfortable, beautifully looked after and every single thing thought of. We loved the garden. The welcome pack was fantastic, and the dog toy was a special hit with Digby the Spaniel. He couldn't be parted from it all week. We have been hiring cottages on the Norfolk/Suffolk coast for 35 years and this was the best we have ever stayed in. Thank you so much. The location is superb and my husband managed to get to the beach every day to sea watch (not that he's a twitcher of course}, I got to see the Happisburgh Tide Bell which has been on my list of places to visit ever since it was installed. The weather was beautiful, and the walks great. We will definitely be back and I will recommend ERC to my friends, as the freedom for dogs at the cottage was a big bonus.

Great week

Had a great time and the dogs lived it. Really appreciated the delicacies and doggie treats left as a welcome. This is far from a shack, its a lovely cosy, comfortable property well stocked with everything you could need. We could not have had a better location for the beach and also a lovely garden to relax in. I have never been anywhere that has had so much thought on what it is like to holiday with dogs. We will be back.

Everything you might need & more!

We had a wonderful week at Jack's Shack. On arrival, both we humans and our dogs felt instantly at home. Caroline has thought of and provided everything that holidaymakers might need for their stay (and more!!). The most well equipped holiday rental we have ever stayed in. It is clearly a cottage owned by someone who loves it very much and we would be very happy to stay again,

Lovely & well equipped cottage in perfect location

Thank you, Caroline, for the warm welcome and extensive welcome back at Jack's Shack. Our second time staying and we had a lovely week. it's such a nice, well equipped cottage - there's everything one could possibly need... We felt like we had won the lottery with the weather and especially in the hot weather, we enjoyed the short distance to the beach - which allowed us to go for a quick dip in the sea with one of us staying behind with the dogs. We also made the most of the well designed garden, with had both sun and shade for most of the day.

Fantastic

Jack's Shack is so well equipped for dog & human visitors. I have stayed in some lovely holiday lets and Jack's Shack is by far the very best. The furnishings & fittings are very high standard and it is so homely. The welcome basket was lovely & very much appreciated. Loved the whole 'ocean friendly' vibe for washing up, shampoo etc. The garden is lovely too with areas to catch the sun or enjoy shade. It is only a short walk to the beach bar, beach, local pub, shop, tea room & even a 'chippy'. We will be back.

Another fabulous stay

This was our second stay at Jack’s Shack and we’re already booked again for later in the year. The property is fabulous, absolutely everything you need is there from dog towels, throws, beds, bowls and spare leads to toiletries for the humans along with some of the essentials for food prep and storage. The location is perfect, the dunes are the back garden and it takes just a few minutes to walk across to the beach which is very quiet and dog friendly all year round. The cottage is on a back road which only really serves the row of cottages so next to no traffic and likewise through the village.

A Perfect, Cosy Getaway with Thoughtful Touches

We had a truly delightful stay at Jack’s Shack. The cottage was cosy, welcoming, and had everything we needed for a comfortable break. The beds were especially comfortable, with lovely warm duvets that made it extra relaxing. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, including the welcoming baskets, Easter eggs, and the treats for our dog Molly — she was very happy! I also spoke with our host, Caroline, who was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much, Caroline — we had a wonderful stay.

Everything you need for a perfect seaside holiday with your dog.

Another return visit to the wonderful Jack's Shack and it didn't disappoint. Caroline has created a warm and welcoming gem in beautiful Winterton-on-Sea and has thought of everything you or your dog might need. This cosy, well-equipped cottage is in a great location, right on the dunes and with easy access to the beach, cafes, a shop and the best fish & chips in Norfolk! Thoroughly recommended.

Perfect Christmas stay

Jack's Shack over and above met all our needs for a perfect Christmas Looked amazing when we arrived so festive and welcoming. Total comfort from sofas to beds. cosy and warm . Kitchen best equipped I have ever stayed in. Location was amazing straight onto the dunes. The added extras for the humans and dogs went over and above our expectations. Very relaxing for both Dogs and Humans

We all absolutely loved Jacks Shack. Caroline has thought of everything and the cottage was so well equipped and stocked. The location was perfect for us with everything we needed close by. We were blessed with excellent weather and spent many happy hours on the beach and swimming.

Jacks Shack

My wife and I (+our dog)booked in for a week’s stay, house is situated right next to the dunes , which took you to a lovely beach. We really enjoyed our stay, house has everything you need, dogs are well catered for, dog bowls,bedding,towels. Stairs are a might steep, especially in the middle of the night, if you need to use the toilet (like I had to) There is a local shop, just around the corner, good local pub, Poppy's cafe come post office do a lovely breakfast. There is great cafe next to the beach, which we used every day, it has a cabin where you can sit and relax and meet other people, there is also a fish and chip shop. We will definitely be returning to Winterton later on this year

The perfect place to take a breath & chill

We have had a fantastic week staying at Jacks Shack which was in the perfect location for exploring the Norfolk coast. The cottage was clean, well presented & every comfort gad be thought of by the owner. This is the best holiday home we have stayed in.

Our second stay at Jacks Shack

We had another wonderful stay at this property. Situated right behind the dunes you can be on the spectacular beach within a few minutes. The property itself is very comfortable and welcoming. Beds are super comfy and Caroline caters for everything you would need. Garden has a Mediterranean and peaceful aura especially at night when the lights come on. Our furry ones love it here and 100% we will be back. Very relaxing.

Beautiful Cottage

Fantastic little cottage situated right behind the sand dunes at Winterton on Sea in Norfolk right by the beach . Lovely and cosy with everything you could want and more. Hosts provided a brilliant welcome basket for both humans and our excited dog, Jasper. Great little dog friendly village with a smashing pub and cafe . Would highly recommend recommend to any dog owner who wants a relaxing break but has a dog who loves swimming and meet people. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay xxx

We have never been to a cottage so well equipped not only with utensils but food as well !! A perfect location for the beach, lots of dog friendly cafes and pubs nearby. Would definetley stay there again

Wonderful to be back at Jack's Shack

Another wonderful visit to Winterton-on-Sea and Jack's Shack. Caroline has provided everything you could need for a dog-friendly holiday by the sea and the welcome basket is the best we have received at any rental property. Jack's Shack is virtually on the dunes making it so easy for humans and dogs to go for lovely walks from the doorstep regardless of the tides. The Seal View is a perfect place to stop for a coffee and the fish & chips from the Winterton Fish Bar are the best around!
