Couldn’t ask for better

Well equipped and very comfortable, in a peaceful location that is within walking distance of the beech , shops, and pubs. Very dog friendly with enclosed garden space rear and back. Highly recommend!

Brilliant

Stayed in the barn last week , a present from my wife for my 60th . Absolutely perfect, great location, very clean and tidy ,we have stop in another barn that Sue owns and that one was just the same, we loved the quiet location. Only one disappointment was we had to come home. Andy & kay

We had a fantastic stay at Old Church Barn. Such a lovely property in a great location for both countryside walks and the coast. The property was beautiful and the little touch of a welcome basket was really lovely. We will definitely return!

Excellent

Really highly recommend Old Church Barn. The property was exceptionally clean throughout. Tastefully decorated. We had a slight issue with a plug getting stuck in one of the bathrooms. We called the owner who couldn’t have been more helpful sending her husband to fix it. Lovely location. Lovely welcome pack as well. We would definitely stay again.

Hidden Gem

This was the first time I had booked with Winterton Cottages and would definitely book again. We had two small queries before we arrived which were dealt with quickly. Old Church Barn really is a 'hidden gem.' Perfect peaceful location but such an easy walk into Winterton on Sea. The barn is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The beds were really comfortable and all equipment in the barn worked! Easy parking at front of property and lots of lovely walks so close to Old Church Barn. A perfect place to stay.

Fantastic

We had an absolutely fantastic stay and couldn’t recommend this accommodation more highly. From the moment we arrived everything exceeded our expectations.the property was spotless, beautifully presented and incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect , and ideal for exploring the surrounding area. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were excellent, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. Without hesitation this is one of the best places we have stayed, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Fantastic dog friendly barn

This was our second stay at Old Church Barn and even though our last stay was in 2019, the property is still spotlessly clean, well maintained and extremely comfortable. The barn has everything you could possibly need for your holiday and you instantly feel at home. The front garden and rear courtyard are completely enclosed and dog safe. We love the quiet location of the barn opposite the church ruins, and the lovely walks directly from the property. Winterton village and beaches are only a 15 - 20 walk away. We have also stayed in one of the owners other properties at Happisburgh, which are also stunning barn conversions. Thank you Sue and Simon for the very generous welcome pack and for sharing your beautiful property with us.

4 nights at Old Church Barn

A first visit to Old Church Barn. Great communication from the owner and a lovely welcome basket. Very clean inside and a peaceful location which is ideal for walking around the Burnley estate. Winterton can easily be reached by car (beach, pub, post office with cafe and chip shop) or the walk would be 15-20 mins. The kitchen is well equipped and if the weather permits, you can sit out the front or out the back of the property. Both areas are secure for dogs. The separate dining area is nice and the lounge is spacious. My parents had the downstairs bedroom which was comfortable but they did comment about the lack of a towel rail in their bathroom and not having anywhere in the bathroom to hang things eg not even a hook on the back of the bathroom door. There is plenty of storage in that bedroom but they struggled with the height of the rails in their wardrobes. I slept upstairs and was aware when booking that there would be restricted height in the bedroom. Unexpectedly I did find this tricky, and also using the wooden stairs to get to the bathroom from the bedroom wasn’t ideal for me as the treads are a bit narrow. There are sturdy hand rails on the stairs which was very useful. Overall it is a lovely property and the guest books are full of positive comments from numerous people that have enjoyed staying here.

I very rarely review goods and services; however, this accommodation deserves the attention.

With two dogs in tow, I arrived at Old Church Barn looking forward to a coffee and a sit-down. The standard, furnishing, and cleanliness of the barn is superb. Yet, despite that, it felt very welcoming. Fantastic location and well worth a short or long stay.

5 * accommodation

The owners have really excelled in providing their guests with 5* accommodation. Every thing has been thought of. Light and airy rooms, enclosed garden and courtyard for our dogs and seating area for us to enjoy a nice glass of wine Heating and hot water always available soft towel’s and the beds where so cosy and comfortable Local walks and a shop just a stroll away. With the beach All the things a holiday is about. One of the best places we have been to Thanks Sue and Simon Will definitely be returning

Beautiful Stay

Old Church Barn was such a lovely location for us to stay with our two staffies Nala & Luna. The walks are absolutely gorgeous & can walk for miles. The accommodation itself was lovely & was greeted by a lovely welcome basket & was very clean. Everything had such a lovely touch to it & a lot of thought gone into the modernisation of this property & has the home from home feel to it. Will definitely stay again next year couldn't have asked for a better holiday home to explore Winterton on Sea.

Beautifully restored and presented cottage.

We stayed at Old Church Barn in January and can highly recommend it. There's spacious off road parking and a 'wow' factor even before you enter. On entering and taking off our shoes, the underfloor heating was most welcome. The exposed beams and partially rendered walls are lovely and the attention to detail is exceptional. The best way I can describe it is to say that it is dressed in the way you would if it was your own home. Nothing is "that'll do, it's only a rental". If you visit between November and January, make sure you go to Horsey beach to see the seals! We'll be back soon.

Amazing...

Had a lovely few days at Old Church Barn. Everything was perfect from start to finish, a lovely welcome gift, amazingly clean and comfortable. Owners communication was fantastic and the guide beforehand was a godsend as first timers to Norfolk. The location is great for exploring Norfolk, we had the most amazing time - visiting Great Yarmouth, Horsey to see the seals, Cromer, Norwich and a trip on the broads. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much.

Has Everything

Fab week holiday

If you are looking for a walking holiday with your dog this is ideal place to stay. The Cottage has your every need and was just lovely and clean. Lots of car free public footpaths on your doorstep and about 2km walk to the sea. Private parking area so no need to panic for a parking space and driving you are within 15/20 mins from Gt Yarmouth, Sea Pauling and Hosey Gap / NT Hosey windmill. Although we were busy we really loved our stay here and had a relaxing time. Burgh Castle and the local pub there well worth a visit too. Thank you so much to the hosts for letting us stay and discover that part of Norfolk - Loved it!
