Please note--we also require additional documentation to be reviewed and signed for all reservations.
Pets if approved are $175 per pet which we will request separately. Unfortunately, one of our owners is highly allergic to cats so we will not be able to accommodate any cats at this home.
If you'd like pool heat, there is a fee of $400/week.
Sea Pines does require each car to purchase a pass at the Sea Pines Entry gate. Currently the rate is $22/per car

Great beach vacation in HHI

This was a beautiful home that gave us a lovely landing spot for our week in Hilton Head. We made some terrific memories. So enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful property

Our family really enjoyed our vacation at the home. Great location, lots of space, and the four bedrooms provided a perfect layout for large families. Would definitely stay here again in the future…

This house had a wonderful location. Easy bike ride to beach - harbor town - salty Dog - sea pines shopping area. Bonus 5 bikes were there to use. Lovely pool that was very private.

Great Week in HHI

The owners were great to communicate and the house was nice and clean and everything worked as expected. We rode bikes to the beach everyday and swam in the pool afterward. Good value

Nice beds. Location great. Very sad I paid a chunk for a pool that was not heated, I doubt it can be heated. Master tv not attached to a cable box, hated missing big screen tv football

Great for smaller family

This home is great for a smaller family. We however had 12 adults and it was not as accommodating. The issues we experienced were quickly addressed by the owner. Parking for 4 full size vehicles is not great either. HHI is our most favorite beach vacation spot, but would not stay in this home again because of the size of our crew.

Overall pretty good. Bikes were not in good shape.Shower area in back bedroom didn’t drain well. Never understood early authorization codes that expired in 15 minutes. 2 weeks to get damage deposit back? Could not message to owner.

Beautiful home

We had 8 of us and there was plenty of space. The website said there was a cart that attaches to the bike but we couldn’t find it. The disposal wasn’t working and we tried to “reset” it with an allan wrench but come to find out, there was no power going to it. The house is beautiful but I don’t think it was worth what we paid for the week.

Good location but the home needs some TLC.

This rental feels like a rental and not someone's vacation or second home. The interactions with the host reflect this as they are impersonal and it's clear that they are running a rental business. For example, the day we left I received an email asking for 5 star review on a rental platform other than the one I rented on. The house is only surface level clean and it really needs a deep clean and some general maintenance. There is buildup of hardwater stains around all the faucets, dinged up walls/doors, dirt buildup on baseboards and in corners, etc. The pool is clearly an add-on to the property. It is small and the pool deck is very small. The trees that overhang the pool drop leaves and stuff into the pool constantly so that the pool is always dirty. If you love mail-order mattresses that are extremely soft, then you will find the beds comfy. Otherwise, steer clear. I have never given a less than perfect review on a rental before, but this house just isn't worth the price in it's current state. There are too many other great homes available in Sea Pines.

Family Beach Getaway

Salty Cottage is a lovely well appointed home on a quiet cul de sac in a private neighborhood in Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island. Our entire family enjoyed the beautiful pool every day and evening. Perfect pool size for young children! We made use of the bikes for trips to the beach and Harbour Town. We drove a car and parked at the beach club if we went to the beach before 7:30 am or after 3:00 pm. There are TV’s in each bedroom, the great room and one outside by the pool and sunken outdoor bar/ grill with a fridge with swim up bar stools. We had a great time at Salty Cottage!

Family Gathering

Overall it was a very nice house. We had 12 people and 2 had to sleep on the couch, which needs to be replaced in our opinion. The pool was just what we needed after a long day at the beach.

Nice house

The house is very nicely decorated although some furnishings are showing wear but very cute. Comfy beds! We could only get 2 adult bikes and one kid bike to work so we ended up renting. It is about a 7 - 10 min ride to beach club and a 20-25 min walk. It is a good location but plan on “working” to get all your stuff to the beach. If you go early you can take your stuff by car to beach club and leave it there for day. The pool was nice and we enjoyed grilling out by the pool.

Great property but needs some fine tuning

Our stay was nice, we had 10 people which fit nicely. PROS - The pool is AMAZING and a great way to wind down after a day of biking or beaching. The bunk room, laundry and kitchen all were great amenities for our group. The home is decorated beautifully. The location is great and allowed for quick travel to Harbour Town, the beach, etc. CONS - The bikes were not in usable condition and I would recommend you plan on renting. After working on them for a few hours, we got 3 bikes and a trailer in usable condition. The pool chairs are mostly broken and the house just needs some maintenance and TLC.

We spent several weeks at Salty Cottage and loved the whole experience. The house, in a quiet neighborhood, felt like home as soon as we walked in. Decorated with a beach theme, soft colors, and very clean appearance, it was so welcoming. The kitchen was perfect size with many top quality features and was very well equipped. The master bedroom was large and a wonderful shower in master bath. The pool was perfect - set at a warm temperature so that even when only 60 degrees outside, the water was warm and relaxing. We loved the bikes and literally rode all over the island. We often rode to South Beach Marina or Harbour Town on bikes to eat a lunch with water views. The beach was close enough to ride there in minutes. We also found that the owners were quick to assist if we had a question or concern. We enjoyed golfing all over the Island, and found some wonderful dining spots. Thank you, Brian and Sara, for sharing your home with us!

Not up to Par

Average small home in good location however, heated pool didn’t work, furniture was average at best and other homes are very close no privacy. Called first night about the pool not being heated (paid extra) never fixed where we could enjoy. Repair person came the night before we check out the next morning. Visit and Home not up to Par.
