The perfect base for your self-catering holiday in Malta, our apartment is situated on Dahlet Gnien Is-Sultan ('the Site of the Sultan's Garden') just outside the city walls of old Valletta, a World Heritage City, and within easy reach of all facilities and transport links. On the quayside just below us is the new fast ferry terminal to Gozo (takes 45 mins, every 2 hours - foot passengers only) and ferries across to the Three Cities.

The apartment has a balcony and large roof terrace, sleeps up to 6 people and is newly refurbished throughout with modern, stylish furniture and new appliances. Click on the photos section to see the interior, views and surrounding area (but our full 180-degree view was too big to upload!)

The apartment sleeps up to a maximum of 6 people and has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and two double sofa beds in the living room. Modern and stylish bath/shower room, and a second guest toilet.

The accommodation is spacious - 142 sq metres or 1,525 sq ft - light and airy throughout with traditional Maltese features such as the rustic wooden shutters on the windows and balcony doors. There is a separate TV lounge with 120-channel XLHD cable TV. There is free internet access with unlimited data usage. Ample bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.

Large kitchen/breakfast room with lots of character (1960s retro-style) and a dining table seating six, fully equipped including coffee maker, kettle, toaster, washing machine, ironing facilities. We can provide a Welcome food pack containing tea, coffee and sandwich-making provisions for your arrival, if you wish.

The apartment balcony is small but has a patio-size glazed ceramic and wrought iron table and two chairs - perfect for your morning cup of coffee. The roof terrace, however, is very big with an olive tree, oleander and bougainvillea plants, a large garden table and six chairs where you can take your meals al-fresco, and two sun-loungers with a parasol.

Airport pick-up service by our own drivers. Flexible check-in times. Very friendly and helpful caretaker, maid cleaning prior to arrival and on departure.

The apartment has a wonderful view of the Grand Harbour. It was wonderful to see all the cruise ships passing by so close you could wave to the passengers.From the roof terrace you could listen to the music from the saluting battery at 12 and 4pm.The apartment was spacious and very tastefully decorated and furnished. The kitchen is functional but would benefit from a microwave for longer stays. A good washing machine was very usefulThere were problems with the heating not working in the bedrooms but two free standing heaters were provided..The location of the property is convenient for the Barraca lift and also the atmospheric eating venues on the steps, if one is fit enough!

The caretaker manager met us and was very helpful. The flat was very spacious and beautifully furnished & dressed. It has fantastic views of Grand Harbour and is close to the Barraka lift which allows easier access to central Valletta. Also close to Gozo ferry.

This apartment exceeded expectations!! Amazing location right on the harbour just a few minutes walk from the gozo ferry and the centre of Valletta. Great size. We were a family of 5 adults but were very comfortable. Everything you needed was supplied and the host and caretaker looked after us and for a reasonable fee supplying food on arrival and organizing transport from the airport which was amazing. We were all so happy with our stay!

A delightfully large apartment with view over the harbour and small sunny balcony The brilliant Baraka lift very closeby for access to centre of Valletta or steps (but quite a few!). We have just spent 3 nights here and wow - what a property! Our host arranged the taxi transfers for us and Sandra, the caretaker was waiting for us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment. We arranged with Sandra for some food for our arrival - milk, bread, cheese, tea/coffee etc. Property was very spacious, clean, good air-con, on a quiet road right near Victoria Gate. Only a few minutes walk to centre of Valleta. Lovely terrace to enjoy a drink on, and also access to a large roof terrace. The views are amazing and we would 100% recommend a stay in this apartment.

Great location!

The stay was great, once we got in!There was some miscommunication about what time we could arrive at the property, which caused a lot of angst because we had booked a full day tour based on what we had thought we had heard about the possibility of leaving our luggage early. After about an hour and some frantic texting, we got in, and it all worked out in the end! Very cute place and great location! Would definitely stay there again!!

In a quiet area, but just a short walk to all the action in town. Overlooks the Grand Harbor. Close to ferries to three cities and Gozo. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars was because the layout is a little choppy . The living room is small.

Fabulous! A really great spot to enjoy Valetta.Very clean, we were incredibly well looked after. Sandra organised local taxis who gave us phenomenal information on our way from the airport, and a food pack for our arrival, which meant we weren't scrambling for food when we arrived quite late on the first day!Comfy beds and sofas, brilliant view of and access to the harbour.Easy to navigate the city and find your way back - just head for "Victoria Gate".Quickest way into Valetta involced lots of steps ( several less step intensive walks - definitely check out the lifts at upper barakka (sp?) but we enjoyed the life of the steps!If I had to find any fault with the place it would only be that the shower wasn't very powerful, but it more than did the job so it's really not an issue. I would definitely visit again and would highly recommended. ** Added bonus that the end of the day almost always involved downhill because of where it is, definitely an advantage **
