A rural house nestled in the Pagoeta Natural Park, 10 minutes from Zarautz and 25 minutes from Donostia. The house is surrounded by a meadow and a forest of beech and oak trees. In total, the farmhouse has 9 hectares of its own land where you can enjoy nature, the silence, and the peace that the place exudes. Caserío Bizkar, seamlessly integrated into its surroundings with harmony and respect, has been fully restored, preserving its original style while ensuring comfort for any time of year. Celia, Noe, and I wish you a pleasant stay at our Bizkar farmhouse. We are nature lovers and are passionate about revitalizing spaces like Bizkar to give them new life, so they can continue to bear witness to the passage of time, just as Bizkar has done since the second half of the 15th century. It has been an honor for us to have the opportunity to restore Bizkar and give it a new lease on life, adapting it to modern times while always respecting the place where it stands. We hope you share these values with us and enjoy the privilege of staying here for a few days. The house is rented out in its entirety to a single group of guests so that they can enjoy the peace and quiet of the place without being disturbed by other guests. The farmhouse features spacious open areas that invite socializing, including a 180-square-meter living-dining-kitchen area on the first floor and another open living area measuring 100 square meters. In addition, you can enjoy its meadow as well as wooded areas covering approximately 3,000 square meters. During their stay, guests can easily contact us—we’ll provide our contact information to answer any questions they may have and recommend special places in the surrounding area for them to explore on their own. The maximum capacity is 16 people. The Bizkar farmhouse, with its 9 hectares of meadows and woods, is nestled in the Laurgain neighborhood, in the municipality of Aia, and is located within the Pagoeta Natural Park. Laurgain is a small neighborhood featuring a number of farmhouses scattered around its church dedicated to Saint Michael, the neighborhood’s patron saint. Bizkar was one of the farmhouses owned by the Lardizabal family, which they rented out to those who worked the land dating back to the Middle Ages. It stands majestically against the landscape, especially when viewed from the nearby Iturraran Botanical Garden, another gem of the municipality of Aia.
