Northern Traditions - Deer Hollow

Northern Traditions - Deer Hollow is located on 3300-acre Long Lake in Washburn County, the 'Walleye Capital of Wisconsin.' This well-appointed cabin provides a home away from home retreat without compromising any comforts.

Deer Hollow has five bedrooms three and a half baths as well as a full kitchens on the ground floor level and the main level.

The cabin comes with a Lund Boat with a 15 HP motor and trolling motor. ( Note docks and boats are out of the water by Oct 15 each year for winter.)

If your traditional Wisconsin vacation has been threatened due to resorts going Condo or sold to private owners, Northern Traditions is your answer.

Private three-acre lot, log-cabin construction, large decks, spacious screened in porches, deep water docks, excellent fishing and water sports... the cabin was constructed with both the fishermen and the family in mind.

It was clean and cozy. First place we stayed in 30 years of doing our Girls weekends that we have to bring our own towels for bath and kitchen.Also need to have some main spices in the kitchen other just salt and pepper.

Our stay at Northern Traditions was once again great! As repeat vacationers/customers, we knew what to expect; a clean, well appointed house, well maintained piers for our multiple boats, fish to catch, a clean and well appointed fish cleaning house, and easy, pleasant communication with the property manager and host. We got just what we were looking for. (Well, there can always be more fish to catch. But, as far as we know, our host does not have control over that.)The only thing new this year was the need to park our boat trailers off site. Good directions to the field a couple miles away were provided. Trailers did sink into the lawn a bit due to the rain. But nothing that wasn't manageable.

Amazing property! Located on the lake with numerous amenities and nearby places to eat/drink. Home is large with 2 porches. Plenty of space! Fishing is very good. Great docks and fire pit area. Well equipped kitchen.

We always love our stay at Northern Traditions! It is so beautiful, so convenient to everything on the lake and so well stocked with everything you would need for a great week at the lake. Laurie, the property manager is always so quick to help with any needs that may come up and so friendly!

Guys Fishing Trip

Northern Traditions are beautiful lake homes. There is always fire wood ready to use. The fish cleaning house is well equiped and clan. The owners are easy to work with.

The property was really nice! We enjoyed our stay very much! Just a couple things you might consider. On the listing it would be helpful to have a list of need to bring. Such as paper products and towels, extra toilet paper. The kitchen is very well stocked. A full set of measuring cups would be great to have. It’s a beautiful place to stay!

Winter boys ATV trip

Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, pretty decent access to the lake using the trail a couple of doors down. This year there was enough ice to safely ride the lake. Lorie does a good job of getting us settled in.Thanks.

Tremendous cabin

This was our second time booking Northern Traditions and I’m sure there will be many many more in the future. Huge, spacious home with all the amenities. Right on the water and close to a few fun bar n grills.

The Northern Traditions-Deer Hollow home was just as advertised. Great location, clean, roomy, and decorated in a lake home theme. I would absolutely rent this home again.

A luxury cabin with lake view

A luxury cabin with wooded walls all over. Super spacious. Enjoyed the beautiful deck overlooking the beautiful lake and the gorgeous trees.We were there for the new year celebration. The lake was frozen enough for all of us to skate around on our boots ;). It was a great experience. We will definitely book again.While you take bath make sure you plan with gab between families so there is enough hot water for all.We were not successful in lighting the wood fire place. We might be doing something wrong. Ofcourse the central heat kept the House warm. There is a gas fire place in the first floor though.

Another great vacation at Deer Hollow!

This is our third time staying at Deer Hollow for our annual bow hunting trip. The house is fantastic and always taken care of and updated. Rich is easy to work and communicates very well. Laurie is the onsite contact and is such a great person that is always available and ready to help with anything. We will be back again!

Wonderful vacation at Deer Hollow

The lake house is spacious and beautiful. Cleanliness is immaculate. Laurie, the property manager, was responsive and great to work with. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The screened in porch is a fantastic space and we enjoyed sitting there or on the big deck just looking at the lake and listening to the loons.

Wonderful stay for a great fishing vacation!

We overwhelmingly praise the beautiful, welcoming home. We applaud the foresight of visitors need for storage in the bathrooms, pantry, and especially each bedroom. The consideration of boaters needs with well maintained paths, sturdy piers with multiple cleats, easily accessible power, and a well appointed fish cleaning house were all enjoyed. Best bluegill & bullhead fishing ever! Northern, large & small mouth bass, and especially walleye were more of a challenge; but were boated. The owner was awesome to work with while originally booking and while rebooking for next year. The property manager and cleaning ladies were a pleasure to meet, very kind, friendly, and extremely helpful. A good time was had by all!
