I filed a complaint with VRBO. This property had no WiFi (that worked) no dishwasher, no elevator (that worked) no tv (that worked) no hair dryer, no fireplace, the washing machine leaks water flooding the floor. The property management company said they would help with problems but that never happened. I spent over 8 hours trying to resolve issues. This impacted our work without WiFi and took away from our vacation. This is the worst property I have ever rented. The misrepresentation should not be allowed.

Check-in: I was told to contact Myriam 30 minutes prior to arrival. She spoke with our cab driver (we don’t speak French and she didn’t speak English) and said she had no idea that we were arriving, was unable to verify our reservation and the place isn’t ready/clean. We were finally able to get into the apartment, but had to quickly drop off our luggage and leave so it could be cleaned. The couch had, what I’m assuming was chocolate, smudged on one of the cushions. The comforter in the master bedroom had a nasty brown smudge and black stain on it. The washing machine leaked water all over the floor each time it was used. There was no dishwasher even though one was stated in the listing. I asked for a hair dryer, which was stated in the listing, and every response was “just keep looking”. The internet didn’t work for the first two days. Which meant the tv didn’t work either. Each time I reached out to say that the WiFi name wasn’t available to connect to, I was just given the name and password all over again. Twice. I finally found the router and reset it and then was able to select the network name and enter password. The air conditioner in the living room leaked water all over the floor so I had to pull the kid blowup pool from the balcony to catch the water. The air conditioner in the master bedroom would stop working at night. I was offered a 75 credit for these issues. I would never stay here again and certainly don’t recommend to anyone else.

Cannes Lion Trip

My boss and I booked last minute for Cannes Lion annual gathering. This listing was one town away, but 1/2 block from train station, just 2 stops from Cannes train station (10 minutes ride). Late night return from Cannes was way of Uber and about a 20 minute ride. This was okay because we spent the entire day in Cannes and didn’t need to go back and forth. 2 Bedrooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and each BR had a balcony. Living Room/Kitchen area was spacious and clean. WiFi and AC worked well. Access was relatively easy and the host were communicative and accessible. No issues at all. It’s near the beach although we didn’t partake and there was a really good coffee and baguette place right downstairs. Only drawback is that the entry way is a bit old and run down and dark at night so it did not give a good first impression and the elevator is small and worn. But the apartment itself was very good and we were both pleasantly surprised.
