This vacation home has everything you need. Very close to downtown Boone, sit on the deck and relax with gorgeous mountain views over christmas tree farm. 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home includes separate mother in law apartment. Outside you have 2 acres to roam and explore, dine on the rear deck, and relax & enjoy all of the natural beauty that surrounds this very special property. As of August 2023 there is ongoing construction in the pasture behind the cabin.

In addition to a spacious home, this is an ideal property for those wanting to relax and unwind.

This custom cabin is great for couples and families. The Main House has 2 Master Bedrooms with King Beds, along with a bunk room that has twin over full with trundle perfect for families, two sectionals and a futon in the loft (doubles as a bed) so there is plenty of space for sleeping and relaxing. Separate apartment for those with families needing extra space or privacy has its own entrance and king bed with sofa, full bath and kitchenette.

Smart 4K TV's throughout the home, each of the 3 King bedrooms equipped with TV, 65" HDTV in living room great for sports and another in the loft area. The Kitchen is very well stocked, gas fireplace in the main room and fire pit outside overlooking the pasture. Deer and wild turkey frequently roam the two acre property, with a fire pit and rock paths.

Great location, great cabin

Wonderful property. From the cabin and upkeep, to the land, views, location, and surrounding areas to explore, this was a perfect setting for our family trip. We'll be back!

Great Family Getaway

Lovely well-kept home! Plenty of space for a nice family reunion. Great loation...but in winter will certainly require the right vehicle to get up the drive to the top. Communication with the host was prompt and easy. Would recommend and would choose to return in the future!

Great space

We got a chance to fully enjoy every aspect of the house given that we were snowed in for two of our five days there. Even with some power and water blips due to the snowstorm, the host was communicative and gracious. The space was large enough for four couples to have some solo time but welcoming when we were all together. Well stocked kitchen, too! All in all a great house and if we had to be housebound, it was a lovely place for it. (Bonus for the super cute Christmas decorations that greeted us!)

Perfect house to enjoy the mountains with your family. You will feel at home!

Everything in this house is thought for the comfort and enjoyment of the guests. Wood for firepit, netflix, several board games, several video games, very clean, great kitchen with all accessories, etc... The only thing I woud change is the mattress at upstairs room and the futon. They are too soft. Besides that everything else is great.

Thanks for the feedback and I definitely understand. We have three different mattresses in each of the king master bedrooms - my sister in law also prefers a firm mattress and loves the bed downstairs in the mother in law apartment. Next time you come visit grab that room and you’ll be very happy ;)

Wonderful Wildwind

We were trying to escape the Florida heat and bring our elderly dog to an area where she could get some exercise and we could all escape the heat! We found the perfect spot to accomplish this at the Wildwind Cabin. The scenery could not be more breathtaking, the yard for the dogs, as well as the close proximety to the Boone Greenway provided us with sohe much needed outdoor time in comfortable weather. The town of Boone was quite lovely although a bit crowded for our tastes. We explored the area and found ourselves in Blowing Rock several times. It is quite remaniscent of Carmel California... Would definately stay again - the host Jorganna, is indeed a super host. Excellent communicaton and care!

Another great trip!

This is our 2nd year staying at this beautiful house & we had the best time! Perfect location. This year we went to Grandfather Mountain and shopped in Blowing Rock. We’re already looking forward to our stay next year!

Just Perfect!

This was a beautiful house with the most beautiful view of a tree farm! The house was very comfortable for our family including a grandmother! We enjoyed the fire pit one night. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed cooking some meals there. Would definitely stay again!

Christmas in Boone

Excellent communication between us the owner and the property manager. We spent six nights in this beautiful log cabin that work well for all our needs, very comfortable beds. Kitchen was well equipped. The outside views were amazing from the front yard to the back yard as well as the side views , wherever you stood it was absolutely beautiful views . We even met the tree farmer, his kids and his dog.which our Jake enjoyed as well. That was a great experience for all of us. We have purchased mountain trees from Boone for 34 . But this time was different, we were able to get a tree and immediately go home at a very short drive and immediately begin our family Christmas away from home. Thank you for allowing my family to share your beautiful home .

Family vacation

Absolutely breathtaking home and views. Back Yard was great to play or relax and porch was great to read books and take naps! Kitchen was perfect to make family dinners and was stocked with essentials! We had two living rooms that allowed us to spread out and play games as well! All rooms were comfortable and everything seemed brand new. Log cabin was so homey!

Wonderful stay!

Our entire family had a fabulous stay! The little kids had a wonderful time playing in the yard, while the parents enjoyed the fire pit and the views!! The location was perfect, as we went to Tweetsie and shopping around Boone. We are already planning our next stay!!

Wildwind is simply perfect for a family of 3 to 6, or couples. The cabin has the upgrades to make it like home. Well taken care of and clean. The property is especially appealing, views 360 degrees. 10 minutes to Boone. Park and greenway 5 min away.

The views on this property are unmatched. The home sits on two acres, with stunning pastoral and mountain views off of the rear deck, with a private Christmas tree farm adjacent.

This gives you the opportunity to relax and enjoy all of the natural beauty in Boone, while being very close to downtown Boone, restaurants, shopping and dining.

We have a property manager that lives in Boone, allowing guests to have total privacy but access to someone who is a close friend of the family, GC and has lived in Boone for a very long time.
