Centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock and just minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, this immaculately maintained Blowing Rock mountain home has gorgeous layered sunset views. There is an open and vaulted covered deck taking full advantage of the view. Misty Creek Mountain Cottage has an open vaulted and beamed living room and kitchen floor plan with a half bath and washer/dryer on the main. The large Primary bedroom along with an attached en-suite bath and roomy walk-in closet are also conveniently located on the main floor. There is an indoor gas fireplace to cozy up to while watching wildlife and viewing the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Upstairs, Misty Creek Cottage has two bright and airy wooded mountain-view bedrooms with a full and queen size mattress. The bathroom upstairs has a tub/shower combination. The home was built in 2012 and has all updated fixtures and hardwoods/tile throughout. The serene and private outdoor area is perfect for viewing the mountains and wildlife. The sparkling clean four person hot tub, wood burning fire-pit, and propane grill help make Misty Creek a perfect retreat for a true mountain experience. A four wheel or all wheel drive will be necessary in the winter months due to the paved but very steep driveway and roads in the area.
We do have a security camera on driveway for maintenance and security purposes.

Super cutie little mountain getaway! Homeowner was extremely helpful and responded super quickly when we had a little hiccup! Very very close to tweetsie and was awesome to hear the train horn at night when sitting in the hot tub!!!

Such an amazing werekend stay with friends! Very cozy and perfect space to unwind and get away from the noise of a big city! The inside gas fireplace was AMAZING for the cold weather.

Misty Creek Cottage

The house is meticulously clean, with cozy cabin decor, and has all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay. Better than the photos show! The views from the porch are beautiful and peaceful. We highly recommend Misty Creek and hope to return some day!

Beautiful Mountain View

We enjoyed our visit at this cabin - with a beautiful mountain view and blooming rhododendrons around the cabin. It was a very clean, quiet, and comfortable cabin, close to both Boone and Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The family room furniture was comfortable with a nice view through big windows. Our favorite spot was sitting on the covered deck watching the weather change before our eyes over the mountains. We didnā€™t use the hot tub, but it has a nice view of the mountains near the firepit. The sunsets were spectacular from the deck!

Great view and very clean!

We enjoyed our stay! The house is so clean and we had everything we needed! The hot tub was very nice and the primary room's bed was very comfortable. We had reservation issues (vrbo's fault) and Renee responded very quickly to me and helped get the issue resolved quickly! It's a very cozy home and we would stay here again.

Beautiful Home. Convenient Location.

The home was immaculate. We drove up for a quick weekend snowboarding trip with our daughter. The directions were very well laid out making the check in and check out process a breeze. The beds were sooo comfortable. We enjoyed the additional ā€œtouchesā€ added to make our stay more comfortable. We did not partake in the hot tub this trip due to extreme winds and cold air, but perhaps next time we will. Just an FYI: we could not get the channel to change with the remote in the room our daughter stayed in but she was fine. The other room does not have a tv..so if youā€™re someone who needs tv to fall asleep to you might want to bring something..did not affect us..we did not need that room. The two bedroom doors upstairs do not close all the way( Iā€™m sure due to the house shifting, as they tend to do that) The home was decorated beautifully. We enjoyed the fireplace and the soft throws. It was also a nice surprise to find board puzzles in the cabinet. Everything was truly perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

We love the mountains and when we saw ā€œMisty Creek Mountain Cottageā€ we knew it needed to be ours!! Itā€™s all about the VIEWS and of course has the convenient location between Boone and Blowing Rock! We arenā€™t the only ones who enjoy itā€¦there are typically a dozen deer in both morning and evening that graze in our yard. The SPA is wonderful and relaxing and has an awesome view too! We suggest you bring your binoculars.

Misty Mountain Cottage is located a little over 10 minutes to Boone and Blowing Rock which makes shopping and restaurants convenient.
There is a feeling of seclusion, even though the cottage is located in a heavily wooded and well-maintained neighborhood. All roads are paved and the driveway might be a little steep (and paved) but we feel the payoff is totally worth it when you reach our Cottage to enjoy the the total mountain experience. For that reason a four wheel or all wheel drive will be necessary in the winter months to maneuver safely.
