Nestled in the heart of the traditional village of Megalochori, Simantiri Private Villa is a beautifully restored 19th-century Cycladic home offering an authentic Santorini experience. Located in a peaceful, car-free setting, the villa is just a 3-minute walk from the village square, where guests will find charming local shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Blending traditional architecture with comfort, the villa features elegant arched ceilings, white wooden furnishings, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It includes three bedrooms, a spacious living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and one bathroom.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private swimming pool, an outdoor hydromassage tub, and a furnished sun terrace overlooking the village — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the calm surroundings. Please note that the pools are not heated.

Each bedroom is equipped with a flat-screen TV and Netflix. The villa remains naturally cool, and air conditioning along with fans are provided for guest comfort during the warmer months.

Due to its traditional village layout, the property is not accessible by car. The nearest public parking is approximately a 6-minute walk away.

The famous Caldera is only 100 meters from the villa, offering easy access to one of Santorini’s most iconic views and sunset spots.

This property is ideal for guests looking to experience authentic village life while enjoying privacy, comfort, and easy access to the island’s highlights.

Clean villa had a cleaning woman everyday which was good, host was brilliant, good for families, pool wasn’t used as it was cold and there was no heating system for it but good for pictures, need a toaster and microwave for food, these are essential, nethertheless good experience

An amazing villa with fantastic views. Great location in the middle of beautiful Megalochori. Nikos is an attentive host and made us all feel very welcome, especially helping out with high chair and cot for our baby.

Beautiful private villa nearby exquisite food

We enjoyed our stay in the village of Megalachori on Santorini because it was quiet, quaint and felt more authentically Greek than some of the more heavily tourist spots on the island. There are beautiful sites in the village with horseback riding and ATV tours nearby. The people in the village were so friendly and we loved seeing all the cats. The pool at this property was perfect and the beds comfortable and clean. We also appreciated the snacks, tea, and water. Oh the sunsets visible from this village are incredibly beautiful.

A true hidden gem! Megalochori is a beautiful village away from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns of Santorini that being said it is just as quaint and possibly more authentic than those! Around every corner is another photo op. Lots of quaint cobbled streets which contrast beautiful with the blue skies. Like a lot of Santorinian properties you can’t park outside the house but Nikos fave suggestions of free public parking a stone’s throw away which was perfect.The house has a great amount of living space and was perfect for us - 2 adults and 1 teen. The outdoor space is greater than most other houses and a fantastic bonus for us with areas both in sun and shade. The double plunge pools were great and offered variety when the sun moved.The house was kept immaculate with daily cleaning which was lovely.Nikos could not have been more helpful with recommendations and suggestions.We could not fault our stay at all.

Our stay in Santorini was beyond our expectations thanks to our beautiful villa and location! The villa was spacious, spotless, and beautifully appointed to make us feel like we were truly on vacation. Every question was answered within minutes, and as a host, Niko and his family are top notch! We would return in a minute! We loved everything about our stay in Megalichori!

The property is also a family home that has been passed down through generations, which makes it very special to us. It has been carefully preserved and restored with respect to its original Cycladic character, maintaining its history and charm.

We love sharing this unique place with guests who appreciate tradition, quiet surroundings, and an authentic island experience. The village square with shops and restaurants is just a short walk away, and the Caldera is only 100 meters from the villa, offering breathtaking views nearby.
