June has a beautiful home that is well maintained. My son and his wife in particular appreciated the coffee and coffee maker that was provided. I highly recommend this place and would stay there again if I travel back to the area. Be warned that your GPS might lie. Apple maps told me to take a sharp right off of the main road and go down a bumpy drive to a house way back behind the trees. This is not the correct house. June's house is the next two driveways past the sharp turn, with a lovely red brick house with brown wooden garage. Thankfully, the neighbors were very nice and helpful, but I arrived mid-afternoon and a later arrival would probably be traumatic for everyone. I was in town for family so did not try to locate all of the local attractions, but they all seemed fairly accessible from June's property. Michael

Peaceful stay

We really enjoyed the Mountain View’s and accessibility to downtown. The beds were creaky but other than that no issues at all. Super serene setting and easy check in.

Perfect

Perfect for anyone wanting to be close to Asheville with out being in Asheville. Beautiful views, incredibly sweet owners and the property was just wonderful!

Great Location

The house was a great location for our trip. It's an easy 20 minute drive to get into the heart of Asheville. The house was ready for us ahead of time and June was very easy to work with.

Beautiful tidy home amongst rolling green hills!

Thank you for a beautiful weekend in Leicester! My friends and I found the Green Valley Cottage a great home-base from which to attend our friend's farm wedding as well as to explore nearby Ashville.

The home was very clean, quaint, a bit old fashioned but lovely! A wonderful place to watch the cows in the backyard and listen to the birds sing while drinking morning coffee on the porch swing. Appliances were new. Everything in working order. No wifi ( not a problem for me but a disappointment for my son). I would definately stay there again! Teresa Donaldson Thomas

Good for a country stay away from Asheville

The place is clean and all appliances are in good condition. Furnishings are a bit outdated. No towel racks, blinds or coffee which was not to my liking, but otherwise the house was fine. Better for those that prefer to be out in the country and drive into Asheville.

Sorry you were displeased - the description of the house tells you about the house and says that it is in the country - it is a vacation rental (lodging) not a bed & breakfast - you are the only person in 4 years that has complained - I try to give you a clean and comfortable house for 2 or 3 days - all of the appliances are almost new

Nice and clean property with a beautiful Mountain View. We have really enjoyed staying at this home. June is very sweet, easy to work with, property was ready to be checked in when we have arrived to get ready for a wedding. We highly would definitely stay again.

Cozy and Comfy

Our 5 day stay at the house was very pleasant. The cleanliness of all aspects was outstanding. The beds are very comfortable. The location offered a lovely Autumn panorama. The proximity to Asheville was a short drive. (To our son and daughter-in-law 5 minutes.)

Little piece of heaven

We had a wonderful stay at June’s property. We came for my daughter’s lacrosse tournament in Asheville and this house was close to the sports complex but outside of Asheville. We were able to have a quiet and country setting ( cows down the hill in the back yard) and beautiful setting. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay, it gave us a break from the hustle and bustle of a lacrosse filled weekend!

December vacation

This is a great place. It was super clean and it has everything you need to be comfortable. It is the perfect destination if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a big city. The location was excellent too, in 20 min you are in downtown. We had a lovely stay.

Wonderful Thanksgiving!

We stayed at Green Valley Cottage over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The cottage is clean, well equipped with what you need to cook an amazing Thanksgiving dinner. A huge plus is the comfortable beds and linens. The owners also own Sandy Hollar Farm which is a Christmas Tree farm and we were able to pick up our Christmas Tree and some beautiful wreaths during our stay. The farm is great for children and you can also pick up fresh eggs there. The area is very close to Asheville and we enjoyed a drive there for dinner and some fun. The owner June is very attentive if you need her. We will certainly return to this lovely home. Terry Bartlett

Great House
