This 2 story, 3 bedroom home is perfect for a relaxing group getaway. Enter the home through the top floor and immediately experience the gorgeous wood flooring and wood beam ceilings. Reminiscent of a ski chalet in the mountains, this home is cozy and comfortable, with multiple couches facing the stunning view. A bench swing hangs from the ceiling near the dining area, The open floor plan allows light to flow in from the sliding glass doors that lead to one of two private balconies. | | PLEASE NOTE: THE FIREPLACE SEEN IN THE PHOTOS IS NON-FUNCTIONING. | | The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and stove, ideal for preparing a nice meal at home. On the bottom floor are the 3 bedrooms, with the master leading to the second balcony. The master bedroom has a king bed with an intricate frame, while the other two rooms contain queens. A washer and dryer are also located on the bottom floor. |**The home COMES WITH A GOLF CART.

QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited).

**There is construction in the neighborhood that can, at times, be heard in the house, from 9am - 6pm.

The ocean view was the best part of this house. The golf cart use was very appreciated too. The beds were clean and comfortable. The house had lots of cobwebs and some towels were stained.

This was a great house in a great location with a spectacular view! We had a blast just hanging out, relaxing, cooking and having meals together. There were some components missing or in need of addressing, but we made it all work and had a positively memorable time. We would stay in this house again.

Favorite Place

We come every year for my parents anniversary in August. Catalina is one of our favorite places and so is this home. Very enchanting and comfortable. The views are incomparable.

Great location and golf cart was key!

Great location and golf cart was awesome. There was a mouse sighting in the living room that was unsettling and there is a major construction project going on next door that was very loud starting at 8am, I did feel like they should warn you about that, luckily we were not there most of the day so it didn’t really bother us. Overall we loved the location and the golf cart was a huge bonus.

Multi-million dollar view and down home amenities.

This property was gorgeous! The climb to it would have been challenging except for a nice local who gave us a ride. The golf cart was a huge bonus. The house was quiet and clean, with tasteful furnishings and lots of books! All in all I would highly recommend this property especially if you want the best view in the city. Wild Bill rock and roll!

In need of a good deep cleaning

The location is fantastic and the view can't be beat. The place in need of a good deep cleaning. Dishes/pans and the cabinets in kitchen were dirty/unusable. Cabinets in bathroom need good cleaning. If you are over 5'6" the showers are a challenge, would recommend handheld shower heads for taller guests. However, the view makes up for it and the use of the golf cart was fantastic.

Great family time and beautiful views

This property worked well for my family as we were there to hike, enjoy the views and spend quality time together. The downside to the property is that the main gathering space or great room was not furnished or set up in a way conducive to conversation. We ended up spending most of our time together around the dining table. The non-functioning fireplace in the middle of the room is distracting and disrupts comfortable seating for conversation. On the positive side, the views are beautiful and the house was very clean. We enjoyed the use of the golf cart and finally figured out a way to walk into town using paths between homes.

The view was fantastic as well as the availability of the golf cart. However there were some very concerning issues with this home and our collective experience (4 of us).1) Ant infestation in both bathrooms.2) Dirty tables and stovetop. Aluminum foil inside oven covered with food drippings.3) Fans in the bedrooms were filthy with dirt and not useable.4) curtains in 2 bedrooms were sheer and let too much light in; curtains in middle bedroom had holes in them. Curtain rod was cheap and spindly in middle bedroom. 5) Porch and railing not clean...lots of dirt and some bird poop. Cushions were dirty.6) front door porch dirty with some small trash present.7) No window/sliding glass door screens in any of the bedrooms.8) Dirty and stained carpet with areas under furniture and in closets not vacuumed.9) queen bed in middle bedroom sloped downward and is not level.10) middle bedroom needs another bedside table and lamp. Top electrical outlet on that side does not work.11) bedroom furniture is mismatched and old and scratched.12) cobwebs found in various locations through the house.We were pretty disappointed in the overall shape of things at this house. It appeared that it had not been cleaned or attended to very well and the management company does not do any inspections.

The view from this property is stunning and the fact that it has a golf cart for guest transportation is great! Now the huge downsides! They are building a home next door and every morning at 7:30am there was LOUD construction noise. The home that is being built is in the beginning phases and construction will be going on for a long time. We rented from July 24-July 28, 2023. The home was dirty, with cobwebs, stained old carpet and old, dated poor condition furniture. The beds were hard and not comfortable and the decorations in the home were old, dated and very unattractive. Basically everything in the home appears to have been bought at either Goodwill or a thrift store. All the kitchenware is old and mismatched and it appears that rather than fixing the built in microwave with the kitchen exhaust fan and stove light, the owner choose to buy a cheap countertop microwave instead. The refrigerator which appears to be relatively new has no icemaker. I felt like I was in a thrift store when I was inside the place so if you are looking for something that is classy, decorated with taste and modern, this place isn't it. You can tell that any expense was minimalized at every turn. Also if you want somewhere quiet, this place isn't it due to the on going construction noise from early morning through out the day. However it does have a stunning view of the Avalon Harbor. I absolutey would not chose to stay here again.

Couples getaway after Christmas

My husband and I get away with 2 other couples annually after christmas. Catalina was such a fun spot, although weather did not cooperate (it rained A LOT). The house was a good size with plenty of space for us all. The view is spectacular. We were prepared for the possibility of rain so we brought some cards, but it would have been nice if they had some extra games and a few blankets upstairs (it was pretty cold on the top floor and difficult for us to get warm). This house uses radiant heat and it appeared to only be in the lower level with the bedrooms (which after several hours did get plenty warm but took until the end of our trip to finally warm up the top floor). I’m sure most times of year in Catalina heat would not be an issue we just happened to be there over a very cold rainy period. The golf cart was such a plus! This place is a 20 minute walk to town and golf cart makes the trip quick, easy and fun! Overall it was great trip and I would recommend you stay to enjoy the view!

Did not meet expectations

This property feels very worn and did not meet our expectations, given the price we paid. The furnishings have a hodge-podge feel and are awkwardly arranged in the living room area. The lighting is poor and there are signs posted around the property, some in all caps, barking at you about what NOT to do. (One of them closes with "Read your contract!") It's a shame because this property could be stunning. The view, however, is wonderful, and the staff at the management office were very friendly.

The view!

Beautiful spot overlooking Avalon. Golf cart was gold for the trip as it was up a pretty steep hill. House was beautiful and spacious and had everything you need. Recommend!

What a beautiful property overlooking the entire island. We were accommodated with early check in which allowed us more time to get dressed for our wedding. Very clean, exceptional hosts, & a wonderful weekend we all had. Can't wait until next time just myself and husband. Thank you for everything!

A really fabulous view from a clean, comforable house.

My family of 5 (my husband and I, + 2 adult sons and a son's girlfriend) spent a lovely week between Christmas 2020 and New Year's. The views from balconies and front room are postcard perfect. It was so fun, ending the New's Year's countdown, hearing folks in Avalon below and on ships in harbor honking horns and yelling "Happy New Year!" The golfcart was great to use, we toured the hills and city of Avalon. We were happy to hear of the management company's thorough Covid cleaning of the house before our arrival. Since restaurants were closed, we cooked meals every night at the house. Found sufficient pots, pans and utensils to do that successfully. The heating system is a little funky... SLOW to warm, but we worked it out eventually. Also, there is no longer a swing in the livingroom. And the non-functional stove is kinda of an eyesore/space hog. But really... Overall, a nice, enjoyable vacation spot. We would stay here again.

Excellent Property!

Our stay at Upper Terrace was wonderful. The views were stunning, the bedding (all beds) comfortable, the furnishings tasteful and nicely placed, the two decks great for viewing the sunsets and the Avalon Harbor, not to mention the use of a golf cart which provided the transportation up and down the mountain!! Many thanks to the owners for sharing their home, which truly is a little piece of heaven!!
