Enjoy great ocean and pool views from this two bedroom, 1 ¾ bath corner villa. Throw open the French doors to the balcony from the living room and the master bedroom and breathe in the fresh sea air. The master bedroom has a Cal King bed and ensuite bathroom (full), bedroom 2 has a queen bed, and the queen sofa sleeper is in the living room. The second bathroom (3/4) is adjacent to bedroom two. You will find a 42-inch flat panel TV in the living room and additional TV's in both bedrooms. There are 78 steps up from the street level, and it's worth every step! 4-passenger golf cart, free WiFi, and 860 SF. H159 | | | Rental of a vacation home in Hamilton Cove includes use of the community’s amenities (pool, spa, health club, 18-hole putting course, tennis courts, croquet court, sand volleyball court and beach area with built in barbecues and picnic tables). Some restrictions may apply. Occupants subject to Hamilton Cove Homeowners Association Rules & Regulations. | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum July & August). ----- This property is in a residential community and is only suitable for quieter groups. NO smoking, NO parties/events. NO pets allowed per HOA rules. You must be 25+ years old to rent this property. No daytime visitors allowed. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before booking. Violations of these rules will result in immediate eviction with no refunds. Great view, nice balcony, awesome golf cart. Place was overall clean. Walked up a lot of stairs with luggage but not the end of that world. We would stay here again.

Beautiful place, stunning ocean views upon entering! Golf cart was a great bonus & was a lovely scenic drive from Hamilton Cove to Avalon. The space was clean and had a large and open balcony. It's about 3-4 flights of stairs up, but the view made it worth it. Main concern was the lack of signal/wi-fi outside the condo to contact a taxi/family members. Other than that, would love to return!

Very nice place. It was a great unit, on the end so only one balcony next to you and the other side was hillside. Very quiet place and not far from downtown. Lots of deer along the ride. Pool was warm. The jacuzzi jets need to be fixed, they blow up in the air vs out. Condo was clean and just right. Felt spacious even with 5 people in it. The large balcony is a bonus. Not every unit has that.

Beautiful views condo/ a little TLC

We love to visit Catalina Island and have stayed in Hamilton Cove condos before. This condo needs some minor attention in places. One evening there was a flood underneath the kitchen sink. Don't really know how it happened. Small leak behind the toilet in master bath. We could not get 2 of the 3 TV's to work. Direction sheets didn't help. I went barefoot much of the time in the condo. When I did put shoes/flip-flops on, I had to brush the sand/dirt off the soles of my feet beforehand. Cleaning crew needs to damp-mop the laminated wood floor. Kitchen needs a Keurig (or similar) - they are not expensive. After having said this, we all agreed the view was spectacular, spending time on the balcony was great. Just a little TLC on the part of the owner could make this worth a 5 - star rating!

Awful experience, would not recommend.

1 star for this stay is too generous. The apartment and experience, was nothing like the pictures. The apartment is outdated, and dusty, the beds felt like you were sleeping on cardboard. The bathroom and kitchen were infested with ants. We worked from the apartment for a few days and the Wi-Fi is spotty. Had to work from coffee shops after the first few hours. (Don’t expect to have service in the apartment either) Each apartment is given a golf cart, on the first day we called about ours to see if they could switch it out due to bad brakes. They refused, the next day the brakes failed coming down a hill. We rented our own golf cart after this incident. I travel about 200 nights a year as a travel blogger and this was by far the worst stay and experience I’ve had anywhere. For the amount you pay for this stay, you assume a certain level of hospitality. Not only does this apartment fall below that level, they fall below the level expected of any establishment for any price. Once this horrendous stay concluded. We assumed the worst was over. Nope. The property charged additional cleaning fees on top of the fees already paid initially for cleaning. In conclusion, this listing and the management company are unethical, with hidden and surprise charges as well as inaccurate apartment listings. If you plan on staying here do yourself a favor for piece of mind and pick literally anywhere else on the island. I will be filing a claim with the better business bureau on this institution for their unethical practices.

Breath taking view / very dated

The deck and view were amazing! The interior was clean but extremely worn out especially the kitchen. The cooktop on the stove is a safety/fire hazard so we didn’t use it. The dishwasher same. Waking up and down the steps was fine. Very quiet and pool well maintained. Just felt expensive for the quality of the interior and appliances. Will book earlier for another unit next time.

The location and view was great and the reason for renting. This unit was in fair condition and has not been updated since it was built. Carpets worn and stained, furniture was dusty and somewhat nasty, kitchen cabinets were off hinges, bedroom closet doors were off track and stuff with personal stuff - couldn't hang anything up, ceiling fan did not work in living room (no air conditioning), some lights did not work, ice maker was broken. Golf cart was old and loud but worked.

November 2017 Stay

We stayed in unit 59 blg 1, the view was spectacular, the appliances need to be updated and new carpet, plus the bbq needed to be updated, we had a nice stay at Hamilton cove, a bit pricey. it's 78 steps and it does come with a golf cart.

This unit was not maintained well. There was something broken in almost every room.

The views were great and the Hamilton Cove amenities were nice. The golf cart was perfect. Otherwise, we were unimpressed with the unit itself. The living room fan made a very loud clicking noise whenever you tried to turn it on, 2 of the burners didn't work on the electric stove, the ice maker was broken, the dishwasher didn't get the dishes clean, and overall everything was cheap and run down. The bed in the master was comfortable but the guest bed was not. For the price we expected a better quality experience. If you come to Catalina and stay here bring your own beach/pool towels as they were not provided. We will definitely stay at Hamilton Cove again but not in this villa.

What a view! Beautiful property.

We did not spend much time inside. Light switches were fussy and outlets were finicky but more importantly, beds were comfortable and space was great for 6 people. The golf cart was a perfect addition! Cannot beat the view. We will be back!

Spectacular view

We were there 4 of us, two couples, old friends, and we had a great time. The unit definitely would deserve a 5 star after some TLC, such as fixing the dishwasher and replacing the carpet. Outside, there are only three chairs for both the bar table and the dining table. Physically handicapped people should not rent this unit because there are a lot of steps (I counted 75) going up to the unit, but we did not mind it; it was a good excercise (there are no elevators).
