Lovely Villa

We really enjoyed this Beachwalk Villa. There was plenty of space and the villa was well-stocked with standard kitchen items. The beds were comfortable and we felt well-rested. The final plusses were the proximity to the pool and the beach. Both were a real convenience.

Great location for our trip

We had a mix of adults and teenagers on our trip and it worked equally well for all of us. It was walking distance to the beach, close to Baytowne Wharf and the shops nearby. The condo was clean and the beds were comfy. Itā€™s not super updated but it was nice and worked well. We also loved the back patio by the water and being right across the pond from the pool too. We used to stay in these condos back in the 90ā€™s and they are still in good condition after all this time.

The one hiccup was that the listing indicated there was a grill, so we brought a lot of food to grill but upon arrival there was not one. We were given a $50 refund for the trouble but wasted about $125-$150 in food so not ideal. Also, there are no frills here. No salt and pepper. No olive oil. Nothing. So if you plan to cook in the unit you need to bring it all.

Convenient Condo in Need of TLC

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Sandestin for 20+ years (weā€™ve stayed inmany of these units) and have owned at Beachwalk. This year we rented 2 units for our family vaca. 5067 Beachwalk is a spacious, well-laid out unit with full-size w/d (which is unusual for these units), close to the poolā€”we enjoyed our stay with 3 of our adults. We did find however that this particular unit needs a refresh. For example the rugs are dingy and some dirty, there are crumbs in the silverware drawer, and although it meets the bare minimum requirements of rentals, the kitchenware is sparse. Also the dishwasher handle is missing, thereā€™s no ice maker, and the grill is nearly rusted throughā€”no way would we lay a burger on it! No smart TVs, just basic cable. The potty seat in guest bath is broken, but still works. The unit is fine but needs some push-ups and TLC. Our other unit was much nicer in comparison and came with a golf cart, but it was a little (not a lot) more expensive. All that said with the caveat that we DID NOT reach out to management since none of the issues were really quick ā€œfixable.ā€

Wouldā€™ve gotten a tan only because the outside patio grill furniture was something to be desired the grill especially we wanted to grill on it but it was so filthy rusty I had second thoughts. The place itself was very comfortable and clean for our situation. It was what I was looking for the staff Nicole especially was very helpful. I know you have no control over the property but the owner should take a better care of the outside amenities that I spoke about. We will use your agency in the future.

We have stayed on this property at another condo in previous years and this one was superior and has been updated. It had everything we needed. Pleasant walk to the beach and was in walking distance to a few restaurants which made it so convenient. We had a minor maintenance issue with the microwave and the property management arrived within 15 minutes and took care of the problem! We would stay here again.
