The location of this property is excellent. It is close to the Vatican, St Peter's, The Pantheon, Campo di Fiori, The Jewish Ghetto, and Trastevere neighbourhood. It is located in a piazza just off the busy Vittorio Emanuele Street so finding a taxi was no problem at all. The neighbourhood is vibrant and we enjoyed wandering the streets, looking the shops, and getting water at the Nasoni just minutes away. The apartment itself is definitely in the "faded glory" category. This is apparent in the kitchen in particular. The cupboards are in very rough shape and the "built in fridge" is definitely not built in, as the door "slaps" when opened and bangs against the cupboard door it sits behind. All the appliances up on the floating shelf are covered in a thick layer of dust. There was only 1 tea towel which did not absorb any moisture at all.The rain shower in the bathroom did not work at all, but the problem was resolved the very next day when I told our host. He came personally with a workman to fix the problem. The bathroom's concrete finish has become kind of grubby-looking so it's hard to tell if it's clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was lovely. With the windows closed, the noise from the crazy, busy restaurant in the street below did not bother us at all. Several restaurants can be found in this neighbourhood.I would give this property 5 stars for location but 3 stars for the property itself. Location is excellent - the property itself not so much.
