Carden Laithe Barn, a barn conversion, consists of a kitchen/diner with dining table for 10, state-of-the-art kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, hob, toaster, kettle, Wolf coffee machine (beans provided), coffee, tea, and sugar, dishwasher, blender, boiling water tap, wine fridge, and a sitting room with large corner sofa and hidden Bluetooth speakers and smart TV, as well as a ski-chalet style burner fire. The bedrooms consist of three super-king-size with en-suites, ground-floor king-size with en-suite, and king-size with en-suite. There is a bathroom with freestanding bath, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there are two private enclosed gardens featuring a sunken seating area, a BBQ space, a log burner, and outdoor dining facilities, and off-road parking for five cars. The property has a wood fired hot tub, perfect for recovering from a long days walking in the Dales. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Town: Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
