Estrella de Mar Studio is a very luminous, new, well constructed studio over the water in "Saigon Bay" on Isla Colón, the main island of the archipelago of Bocas del Toro.
With our unique location on the Isthmus of Isla Colón. we enjoy nice sea breezes from both sides of the Caribbean and breathtaking views especially during sunrise and sunset (see pictures).
We are a 60 cent taxi ride or 5 minute bike ride from all downtown attractions and just enough out of town enjoy the serenity.

Wonderful spot, basic accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. Our room had a nice deck but being set back didn’t get nearly as good a breeze as the shared deck space further out over the water. You can organize tours and water taxis to pick you up right there. Rebecca, the manager, is lovely and very helpful in organizing taxis and sharing information

Perfect Apartment

Feed the fish from your private sun dock. Prepare your own fruit snacks from the store next door. Enjoy sunset from bed if you like....

Quaint little casita

Beautiful and convenient location for visiting Bocas Town. Community dock was very nice. A/C didn't work, mattress sagged, very few surfaces to place your stuff. With that said, it was still a pleasant stay. Replace the A/C and mattress and we would return.

A little piece of paradise!

What you see in the ad is exactly what you get. The place is perfect for an on the water experience with gorgeous views and peaceful atmosphere without breaking the bank. The friendly property managers live on site, so anything you need is taken care of quickly. The accommodations including the dock and garden area are well taken care of daily, keeping this place in fabulous condition. There are bikes on site for rent at only $8/day, which is great to have to just tour around town slowly, putting you in vacation mode! The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, even a bag of salt and a bottle of oil to cook your morning scrambled eggs! There’s even a blender for those sunset bevy’s. The grocery store about a 1 minute walk away is so convenient. I had the best, relaxing holiday here and I highly recommend it!

Personal Oasis

The studio is beautiful and cozy with a wonderful private deck right out front. I was traveling alone and the communication with Morgan the host was awesome. I felt super safe staying here alone, and the laminated maps of all the islands with things to do and places to eat were incredible. You could take a picture of one and head to that island without having to plan anything. Internet was excellent, better than at home in Florida. There is a big supermarket a few doors down with a great wine selection, and just across the road was a great beach for going for walks. There was also another shared dock and kayaks and paddleboards to rent so plenty to do. I would definitely stay here again.

Great month in Bocas del Toro

Very well cared for property, very attentive staff. A quick 60 cent cab ride to Bocas Town. Thanks for a great experience, Sterling and crew!

Nice and Spacious Apartment

Time flies so quick in Bocas Del Toro. We had stayed at Sterling's apartment for a month. Both of my boys and I had such an wonderful time. Below are some of the notes we would love to share with the next guest. 1) We love how attentive and helpful Sterling was and he always came by to say Hi to all his tenants and see if we need any help. In addition, Sterling was very responsive when I had problem with my apartment and he would come quickly to help me to resolve it. For example, I love cooking for my boys and my stove was not functioning properly. Sterling replaced a new one for us immediately. 2)We like how spacious and clean the apartment is and it is very well maintained. It sounds silly, but not all rental apartments here have AC, so it is a plus that we have AC in this apartment. Our neighbors and gardener are very nice. My boys made good friend with one of kid who lived nearby the green casita. Our gardener/cleaner cleaned our patio every week. 3)My boys always go to the community dock area and played. They fished, paddled the kayak to nearby beach and the Smithsonian Research Center to snorkel or just enjoying themselves in the hammock. For me, I love my “me" time and do yoga or just read a book. 4)The location is great and it's 15 min walk to Spanish school and 30 minutes walk to downtown. I had searched for many apartments before I came and I decided to take this one as it is within a walking distance to the Spanish school. We like to walk, but we sometimes hopped on the taxi for $0.60 per person only. 5)My boys love the owner’s dog Kylie and she is so mellow and sweet. We sometimes took her to paddle with us together. Oh my, we miss her so much. We will definitely live in his apartment if we go to Bocas Del Toro again. June, Jacob and Isaac (boys)

Great price, nice facility, won't be dissapointed

GREAT property close to down town Bocas. Only 60 cents cab ride (yes, just 60 cents if you can believe it). Very spacious for a 1 bedroom unit and completely safe with a downstairs security gate. Cold AC after those long days of exploring the Islands with a great kitchen and large refrigerator. Washer and dryer facility downstairs with a bike rack if you rent a bike for your visit. A surprise in the back on the bay is a very nice dock / pier that leads to a Gazebo at the end with available hammocks and swing chairs (security lights on at night if you dock your boat in one of the available moorings). The owner is a gem of a guy with vast knowledge of the Island and always available with a kind word and information. We looked around for a while on line, and this is one of the best picks in that area with everything you could need within a very short distance. If you think you might be interested, drop a note to the owner and see for yourself. Great stay, great price, nice facility, you won't be disappointed.

Spacious comfort

Two words come to mind: space and comfort. We are digital expats and spend significant time working on our computers, so not all places suit our requirements. At Bocas Beach Villas, both the lounge/dining area and the bedroom offered more than enough space, with good wifi, so we could live and work without hassles. The condo is well maintained and fitted out, and clean, from the kitchen through to the bathroom. The owner lives on the property, so always available to help with local information. The availability of a laundry was a huge plus, and access to the dock with its amazing sunsets is a big bonus.

My Name is Sterling. I moved here to Bocas Isla from Hawaii in 2003 and I am loving it here more and more every day. I chose Bocas not only for it's beauty and laid back culture but also because I love the ocean and water sports. I finished building Santuarios del Mar in 2008 and have rented the units both short and long term ever since!

The studio is built over the water and allows beautiful uncrowded views of the Caribbean sea to be enjoyed from the private deck (balcony) on the front side (west side/sunset side) of the apartment.
Also there is a Private Pier even further out over the water for guests to relax in a hammock, sunbath in a longchair or get on kayaks/SUPs to play around in the calm & transparent waters surrounding the Pier.
Of course the apartment is fully equipped with fully furbished Kitchen, A/C, WiFi internet, Ceiling Fans, Hot Water.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Aside from it's unique location on the Isthmus, it being on the main island has lots of benefits. Most of the nightlife and the restaurants are located on the Island the condo is at and there are lots of things to do and places to explore right here with a bike or getting dropped further up the road by a taxi.
