Welcome to Casa Vasio, a historic stone house for couples in the heart of medieval Vaison-la-Romaine.
Wake up on the old market square, have coffee on the rooftop terrace, and watch the sun set over the castle ruins, the Côtes du Rhône vineyards and Mont Ventoux. Casa Vasio is a 17th-century village house, lovingly restored with old stone, two fireplaces and modern comforts. It sits just across from a trickling 18th-century fountain beneath a great plane tree.

EXPLORE VAISON-LA-ROMAINE
Walk down to the Roman ruins of Puymin and La Villasse, cross the 2,000-year-old Roman bridge over the Ouvèze, and get lost in the cobbled lanes of the medieval Haute-Ville. On Tuesdays, Vaison hosts one of Provence's biggest markets. Further afield, hike the Dentelles de Montmirail, cycle Mont Ventoux, or spend a day in Avignon, Orange or the hilltop villages of Séguret and Crestet.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Four floors linked by wide historic stone steps: lovely, but not ideal if stairs are difficult for you.
- Not suitable for children under 12, because of the steep stairs and the open rooftop terrace.
- Parking: spaces on the square in front of the house are limited, but there's easy parking just a 2-minute walk around the corner.
- A car is best for wineries and grocery shopping. Avignon is about 1 hour 15 minutes by car, and Marseille about 1 hour 30 minutes.
-Bikes can be stored safely indoors on the ground floor.
We'd love to welcome you to our corner of Provence. À bientôt!
