Ma'alaea Surf, Unit G9 is a townhouse unit situated on the second floor which offers our guest total privacy. This unit has stunning ocean views and overlooks the large pool. This elegant unit features a fully furnished gorgeous kitchen and is equipped with central AC, Flat Screen TV, convenient parking, BBQ areas and washer/dryers located in guest laundry on property. It also includes all linens, towels, beach towels and housekeeping service.
Enjoy whale watching or Maui's majestic sunsets from your spacious private patio (lanai). The maximum occupancy in this unit is 6. All units at the Maalaea Surf Resorts are non-smoking.
Our property is NOT impacted by the recent news regarding potential short-term rental (STR) restrictions in Maui. Because we are zoned as a hotel property, we are exempt from the County of Maui's proposed STR regulations.

Great place
Loved everything about this place. I location was great for getting around the island. The property was so peaceful and quite. When I come back to Maui this is the first place I am going to look to stay at.

It is the third time we rent the same condo, which is probably the best review in itself. We live in California, we have been to Hawai'i many times, and we have stayed at very nice resorts but this place is hard to beat. The beach is ten steps away and this small private complex with its large balconies and patios all facing the water does not have large pool areas or roads to cross to get to the ocean. You can have dinner on the balcony and enjoy the spectacular sunsets if you don't feel like going to a restaurants, there is enough space. The manager is very responsive and helpful, and the townhouse itself is very nice.

Great Vacation
The vacation was Amazing, the condo was great location. Views of the ocean directly from the balcony. A couple of minutes and your on the beach enjoying walks or playing in the water. My grandkids loved it. The place inside was very clean and has all the amenities you will need.
It is very quiet as well north side of Kihei. A short walk is an ABC store and an awesome shave ice.

We went with a large family group to Maui and most decided to stay in an another condo that was only one bedroom. This condo was great, G9. It was clean and had two bedrooms and baths. The stove had some issues, one burner didn't work and the stove fan sounded like it was about ready to die. Other than that the inside of the Condo was great. Unfortunately although I knew the laundry situation going in I will have to say that it was awful. Every time I tried to go to the closest machine it was full or broken. I know that there are more and some renter must have done awful so most of the machines are for owners only. For a high end condo laundry will become an issue, especially if you have kids. I recommend this place but bring a lot of clothes and be prepared to wonder around the united looking for and open machine.

Yes, laundry is no fun on vacation. It is nice that we have 5 guest laundry rooms on property to use for that inconvenience.

This place was absolutely perfect for our family of ten. With 3 condos we had plenty of space and the kitchens / dining rooms were perfect for several family dinners. We played so hard! Between the pool, shuffleboard, boogie boards, rented paddle boards, tennis court and pickleball courts we were well entertained! It was a perfect location. The short walk to the farmer's market, bakery/coffee shop, ABC store, and the best shaved ice ever was a definite plus. Drinking coffee and watching outrigger canoes ever morning was one of my favorite parts of our stay. Thank you Ma'alaea Surf Resort for a magical place to celebrate 50 years of marriage with family!

This was an excellent 2 bedroom condo. It was clean, well decorated and quiet. The views from the condo were great and right on the beach. It was easy to drive to all the amenities and "more popular" beaches, but provided a nice and quiet getaway at the end of the day. My family really enjoyed our stay here and would do it again.

Our family of 4 (kids 11 & 14) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in G9. The unit was clean, well-maintained and had everything we needed to maximize our stay from kitchen amenities to beach chairs & umbrellas. The property is quiet, relaxing and beautifully maintained. We love the easy beach access and lot of time playing and walking on the beach. The location is so central to many other beaches and activities as well. Management is very responsive to questions and needs. We will definitely be back and recommend to family & friends.Some of our favorite highlights of the trip - Almost daily shave ice at Ululani's (seriously the best!), malasadas at Sugar Beach bakery, dining at Kehei Cafe (at Maui Coast hotel location) and Cafe O'Lei, very family-friendly snorkeling at Ulua Beach multiple days (arrive early!) where we saw a huge variety of fish, many turtles and even an octopus. Ulua Beach is also a beautiful beach to hang out and swim.

It is really hard to beat this location - this lovely complex is right on the beach. Our unit was very nice, an updated and comfortable two story townhouse with a large balcony where we all could sit and admire the sunsets. I have stayed at numerous places on Maui, from luxury hotels to private rentals, this is by far the best one and this for about 1/2 the price per night of what you would pay for this ocean view from a nice hotel (I checked and this for one room only). Our friends who were with us agree. I have already recommended it to several friends.

We brought my parents for thier 50th anniversary and had the most amazing time!! The condo was clean and had many daily items already stocked for us. The resort is very well maintained and quiet. The gentleman was thorough in cleaning the pool daily and keeping up the beautiful landscaping. We were extremely happy we chose this area.

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo was the perfect place for our family to stay while in Maui. Everything you could want is here—pool, beach, tennis courts, a beautiful deck to watch the sunset, Ululani’s Shave Ice a short walk down the beach. The condo is located centrally so it’s convenient to drive to everything on the island.

We love the location and the grounds! The unit was updated nicely although it did lack some basic cooking necessities (lots of pans but all were scraped and warped, the coffee pot had the wrong filters very few serving dishes and there was only one somewhat decent cutting knife) There were some issues with dirty linens as well. We have stayed at Maalaea surf many times and the units often have some beach items to use during your stay. It was unfortunate that this unit did not so we had to rent chairs and an umbrella to take advantage of the many wonderful beaches.we loved the pickleball courts and had peaceful mornings on the deck. The unit itself is really nice and the location is amazing and the office staff is very friendly. The property manager did bring us a new pan and spatula so we could cook some meals.

Everything was very good until flooded out! We were asked to leave after the flooding event, while others were allowed to stay. Leaving was very difficult because our rental car had floated in the parking lot and was not drivable. We were essentially trapped in our 2nd floor unit because of mud on all pathways and in the parking lot. Walking was hazardous. My wife fell in the mud while we were leaving. It took several days before a tow truck was allowed to pick up the rental car. This meant that we had to rent a second car to more our belongings out of Maalaea Surf.The flooding event was serious and the staff worked very hard to protect the property. We invited a couple whose 1st floor unit was flooded to stay with us for the night we were allowed to stay after the event. All utilities continued to work during and after the event so we were comfortable on the 2nd floor. Many 1st floor units were not habitable after the event.There was no help in obtaining any place to stay when we were told to leave. It was very difficult to obtain anyplace to move to.A refund for the unused part of our stay has been processed.This is a beautiful property and our favorite place to stay on Maui. However flooding events have happened several times in the past 2 years.

We always enjoy spending time at this resort! This unit was overall very nice a few things would have made our stay even better. A bigger TV in the main area my suggestion would be on the dining room wall. and also a more comfortable side chair in the living room area (replace the small one). We own a vacation rental as well so I understand how important it is to know what renters want. Thank you for letting us stay in your nice Condo in beautiful Maui!
