Ma'alaea Surf, Unit G10 is a two-story townhouse unit with vaulted ceilings. This unit has a large lanai, stunning ocean views and overlooks the large pool and shuffleboard court.

This elegant unit features a gorgeous fully furnished kitchen and is equipped with central AC, flat screen TV and includes all linens, towels, beach towels and housekeeping service. It also features Wi-Fi, convenient parking, onsite tennis and pickleball. There are convenient BBQ areas and washer/dryers located in guest laundry rooms on property.

Situated on the second floor this unit has a very open feel and offers our guest total privacy on their spacious patio. The two recently resurfaced tennis and pickleball courts are just steps out your back door.

Enjoy whale watching or Maui's majestic sunsets from your private, spacious patio (lanai). The maximum occupancy in this unit is 6. All units at the Maalaea Surf Resorts are non-smoking.

Our property is NOT impacted by the recent news regarding potential short-term rental (STR) restrictions in Maui. Because we are zoned as a hotel property, we are exempt from the County of Maui's proposed STR regulations.

The unit was neat, clean, well-stocked, and well-maintained, and provided a relaxing and quiet environment for our family to reconnect. We thoroughly enjoyed walking along the beach each morning, which was right outside our door. Malea promptly responded to all our questions, and we noticed that the grounds outside the units – the shuffleboard courts, pool area, sidewalks, grills, etc. - were sprayed down and cleaned every day. The unit provided plenty of amenities we weren’t expecting, including a generous supply of extra bath and beach towels, sheets, and blankets, and enough dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, coffee, tea, etc. to last past the duration of our stay; the cabinets were stocked with plenty of pots, pans, cups, cooking equipment, a cooler, etc.; and the beds were comfy. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing stay

Perfect place to stay for our family of 3. Super close to the beach, great central location in Kihei, and a great overall location as we had excursions all around Maui. Beautiful beach, super quiet condo complex. Would love to stay again!

Great location, lovely beach and pool

The apartment is very comfortable, a great location for our family to be based from. We enjoyed the pool and lovely walks on the beach. The tennis court wasn’t ‘newly refurbished’ which was a shame but we were happy with everything else.

Everything we needed this vacation to be!

This was a beautiful location for us to relax and enjoy Maui! The view was amazing, the grounds were just as advertised. The home was very comfortable and felt like home. We had 2 teens and all 4 of us had a great time. Quiet here, easy access to the whole island for our daily adventures. Loved it!

Perfect getaway

The Maʻalea Surf Resort is the perfect cross between a large resort and a house rental. Being right on the ocean was perfect so that you could experience the Ocean while also having access to the pool and your room. The kids loved being able to play and make friends as all the unit face the pools and other kids could be seen playing. The grounds were immaculate constantly maintained. There is an ABC store with in walking distance, or a short 5 minute drive into Kihei to go to the grocery stores.

The location is perfect for us because it is away from the crowds but convenient to a local fruit market, convenience store, bakery, and Hawaiian shaved ice!!! This was our second stay, bringing three teenage grandkids. They also loved it! The managers are friendly and extremely helpful.

Amazing stay!

Our stay was amazing! This property is truly a hidden gem and centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go. The beach is unlike any other we have experienced in Hawai’i with our two teen girls playing/ swimming daily and us thoroughly enjoying our morning walk beside the ocean. The pools are immaculate as is the property in general. The condo was clean, well-stocked with cooking supplies/utensils and other household essentials, and comfortable. The view from the lanai was truly incredible. Malea was responsive and friendly. She kept us updated on storm developments and property protection as well as good local restaurants. While we have always stayed at a different location when visiting Maui, we now realize the error of our ways and will only stay here during future visits!

Lovely stay waking up to to ocean every morning 😎

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice unit, very clean and well maintained. It’s very relaxed and low key. Lots of older couples and families. It’s not a party scene which is nice. I would note that the master bedroom is upstairs in an open loft with very little privacy from the kitchen/living room/dining area. We had coffee every morning out on the deck and enjoyed the ocean view and took daily walks on the beach (which is just steps from the front door). This location is in a bay so the water was a bit murky, we choose to drive to some nearby beaches for swimming and boogie boarding. (Side note: There are some homeless camps a few resorts down in one direction and homeless people a few resorts down in the other direction.) It’s a short walk down the beach to the nearby bakery/coffee shop and shaved ice next to the ABC store. Both were really good!

It was very clean with most items needed for the week. Went to the Maui Ocean Center with grands 7,9,11. They loved it and the new whale 3D movie. Drove road to Hana - kids were carsick- stopped at Garden of Eden to walk around. Never made it to the park - kids were done with it.Loved Mama's Fish House (need to make reservations about 6 months out) Did Pacific Whale boat trip from Ma'alaea dock - lots of whales to see! Enjoyed Nalu's So.Shore Grill in Kihei (serve meals all day), Down the Hatch (Lahaina), Coconut Fish (we did take out), Maui Brewing(Kihei)with nice outside seating, Sugar Beach Bakery - yummy pies, muffins/croissants and Leoda's (on road to Lahaina for pies/lunch (yummy too)Usually a 30 min. wait at Leoda's. Can't wait for us to all return so we can try the restaurants and places we missed by leaving early.

Spring Break April 2021

This property is fabulous! It was exactly as described and the pictures were representative. It was very clean and had a great view of the ocean off the lanai. My husband and I were traveling with our 2 teenage children for a much needed spring break. Check in process was very simple and I love the fact that we had a door code instead of an actual key. We chose this location specifically for it's "smallness" (ie: not a high rise in a busy area). It was quiet and you can walk for a couple of miles on the beach in either direction. The beach was never crowded. One thing I might mention about the unit is that it could have been a little more stocked with kitchen utensils. We couldn't find a cookie sheet or pizza pan, pizza cutter (we baked pizza one night), or any grilling utensils to use and the knife set that was there was not in very good shape. It really was not a big deal to us and I only mention it because we have rented many times with VRBO and have stayed in units that were more stocked than this unit. But again, it's definitely not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of if you like to cook "in" a lot. It was a very short walk down the beach (maybe 1/4 mile) to an ABC store, Sugar beach bake shop (which we stopped in to each morning for coffee and goodies) and Ululani's shave ice. The location is great as it is very easy to get to any part of the island from there. Road noise was never a problem. The pools were warm and very well maintained(cleaned daily), as well as the property grounds. Communication with Malea was always prompt and professional and the on site property manager was very responsive when I accidentally locked my self out of the laundry room. I highly recommend staying here if you want a laid back, quiet vacation. I would love to come back again.

January brings some Kona Storms so the water was brown the entire week & very little sand to walk the beach - had to go to the east side to enjoy the beach/ocean as we were advised to stay out of brown water. Condo was clean, grounds were beautiful and enjoyed the tennis courts and shuffleboard.Enjoyed the bakery/shaved ice/farmers market across the street. Also visited many sites and enjoyed meals at MonkeyPod, Paia Fish, Gazebo, SeaHouse,& Nalu's. Barbecued several dinners at condo. Need to bring spices and condiments for cooking. Enjoyed a perfect week with hardly any rain - just windy!
