Beautiful Location

We absolutely loved staying here. The location was amazing and overlooked the Kenai River. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We were all comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic stay in Cooper Landing

Lorraine and Mike were both fantastic hosts while staying at their place in Cooper Landing. We highly recommend staying here! The view is fantastic, and both Mike and Lorraine helped us with some activities and local happenings. Fantastic people with some great Alaska history and knowledge.

Comfy, spacious, and killer views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lorraine’s Kahtnu Spirit suite. Comfy, spacious, and killer views. Ideal central location for local rafting, fishing, hiking, and day trips to anywhere on the Peninsula. Easy walk to the restaurants in the Kenai Princess Lodge.

Check in was easy and communication is good. Host answers phone and respond to our request promptly. Very pretty view and quiet location! A really good place to stay in Cooper landing area.

Felt like home

Beautifully decorated, clean, all the amenities you need, grills worked great, spectacular view from the porch of the Kenai river. Watched a couple of eagles hunting each day. Great central location to Seward and Homer plus all the activities the river offers.

Best View in Cooper Landing!

Lorraine and Mike have a little slice of heaven with their property overlooking the river in Cooper Landing. Everything was perfect, clean and truly breathtaking. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Enjoyed it but really didn’t like the design where one couple had to go in the other’s bedroom to use the bathroom and one had to go in the other’s bedroom to use the kitchen

Great Stop in Cooper Landing

This place was exactly as shown and we really enjoyed our too short, one night stay. It would be a place we would have liked to stay much longer if possible. The amenities were there - amazing shower/bathroom area, breakfast snacks, fully stocked kitchen and it was exceptionally clean. The communication was clear and directions were on target. You won't be disappointed with this place.

Pefect Family Friendly Get-Away

The view is WOW, WOW, WOW! Literally the Kenai river out the front door. So beautiful. The cabin was well cleaned, comfortable, and perfect for our family with 3 small kids to sleep, eat, and play. The welcome basket of yogurts, fruits, and muffins was so wonderful and kind. Mike and Lorraine are gracious hosts and have prepared a really wonderful space.

Kenai River view

Terrific view and loved hearing the sounds of the river below from our entrance porch and inside with the window open! Nice personal touches with homemade yogurt etc waiting. Grill just outside for cooking your catch or store purchase. Very close to multiple fishing guide services. Wish we could have stayed longer!

So glad we've created a vacation stay that is accommodating although, I can't claim the aesthetics of the sound of the river, it comes naturally!

Perfect Place on the Kenai!

We found the perfect place to stay on the Kenai Peninsula for our “DIY Alaska Land Tour”! We managed to travel from Seward to Homer during our three nights, and found quiet, rest, and relaxation when we came home to the suite at the “Kahtnu Spirit Lodging”. Lorraine was very hospitable and helped us immensely with our touring plans (great notes!) and even served my husband a plate of ribs at the community softball game! The suite is well-equipped, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the (amazing) shower was a welcome refresher on our travel weary bones. You won’t be disappointed here. Enjoy the space, place, and gracious welcome on the Kenai.

Delightful Owner

I wanted to leave a review although our plans abruptly changed while in Alaska and we could not make it to Cooper Landing. Leading up to our trip, Lorraine was a pleasure to deal with, and it was certainly our loss not to experience her VRBO. It looked wonderful with everything we needed for our family’s stay. She was willing to let us check in a bit early and seemed very flexible. Hopefully we will return to Alaska and get to enjoy Cooper Landing for the fishing and rafting. This VRBO will be at the top of my list.

Ahhh for words about the suite…a hidden gem and disappointed that Lorraine and Mike will mot be using the suite again for rental. All in all it was more than we expected and then some. We would stay here again, but use the Cabin, which is alsa a hidden gem. Lorraine and Mike are very kind and great people and enjoyed the few chats we had. Hopefully you guys enjoyed your trip down to Kodiak and harvested some fish and crab! Thank you for the use of your property and warm welcome… keep working on that dog sled… ‘ one day at a time ‘. We DID harvest lots of fish and crab on Kodiak and felt rejuvenated and ready for the rest of the busy season! Thank you! Gem of a place overlooking the river and beyond

Lorraine thanks for a wonderful stay at your VRBO! The house was very clean, and it is such a quiet and peaceful location above the famous Kenai River. We will definitely be staying with you again!

Beautiful view

Was a perfect place to stay for a few days, beautiful views, very clean, great bathroom! The welcome basket and yogurt parfait was a nice treat! Also, the welcome from the dogs is just what we needed after traveling for so long!

Cozy space

We loved this location and the views were nothing short of spectacular. Lorraine was a great host and has the most perfect little touches in the unit. Our only regret was we didn’t stay longer.
