The Cottonwood Estate is a stunnning custom log home located just minutes from the world famous Madison River and Ennis Lake on the ‘Backroad to Yellowstone’. The perfect retreat for couples, family gatherings and outdoor enthusiasts, this log Home sleeps 8 adults comfortably and features a large family room, media room and game room. The fully stocked chef’s kitchen will fulfill all of your culinary needs. Settle in the great room and enjoy the mountain views out of a wall of windows while gathered around the massive stone fireplace. Enjoy the the Big Sky views on expansive deck with an outdoor fireplace and dining area.

Surrounded by towering pines and the Madison Mountains as a backdrop to the east, the Cottonwood Estate is located in one of the most desirable areas in the Madison Valley. Located on the lower Jack Creek drainage less than a mile from the Madison River. Jack Creek is one of the primary tributaries for the Madison River and a home of a variety of wildlife including mule and whitetail deer, elk, moose and a variety of birds. The Madison River is a popular destination for avid anglers, and is classified as a blue ribbon fishery in Montana and is one of the most productive streams for brown and rainbow trout.

The West Yellowstone entrance of Yellowstone National Park is a 1 hour drive from the Cottonwood Estate. Enjoy the beautiful drive featuring stunning Mountain Views and abundant wildlife.

Approximately 5.5 miles south of the home is Ennis, an authentic western Montana town with a wide array of amenities, including restaurants, galleries, fly shops and more.

The Cottonwood Estate is located 55 miles south of Bozeman and the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, the busiest airport in Montana, which is served by Delta and United Airlines.

The homes exposed log beams add a golden warmth to this comfortable, yet stunning 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home. The master suite, conveniently located on the main level, features a spacious and private bedroom with a gas fireplace, exposed rustic beams and an exclusive access to a master bath and dressing room and walk in closet. The perfectly placed windows take advantage of the expansive views of the Madison range and the local wildlife.

The generously sized guest bedrooms offer outstanding views and are setup for comfortable accommodations for up to 8 adult guests. The second floor features exposed log beams and high ceilings and window seats in each bedroom along with sky lights.

The home is stocked with all of the basics (towels, linens, pots/pans, utensils) and a washer and dryer.

Beautiful house, very clean ,perfect for group getogethers.

We went to have a family reunion, there were 7 adults. We bbq, our dogs enjoyed spacious fenced in play area..we had planned to go fishing, but never got around to it. This house is an excellent starting point, close to upper and lower Madison ,jack creek,ennis lake are al close by.

Ennis ranch home

Fantastic location for a variety of day excursions. House extremely well appointed, kitchen has everything you could desire from spices to cookware, gorgeous views, easy communication. Would certainly stay again. It’s a great base camp to Yellowstone, Bozeman, Big Sky, and all three of the famous fishing rivers. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful house and location

Beautiful home with a beautiful view and a fantastic fireplace for nighttime relaxation. House was incredibly clean and the owners were very responsive. Would not hesitate to book another trip here again!

A week in paradise.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish! Whitney was a fabulous host. Excellent communication, beautiful home and property. Exceeded our expectations. Ennis is a magically little town with lots of shops, restaurants, bars and even a great little market. Close to Ennis Lake and fishing holes. We can’t wait to return.

Perfect location, perfect setting

I rented the house to accommodate multiple guests at a wedding in Jeffers. The house is beautiful, very well maintained and large enough for multiple adults to have privacy when they wanted it (although another full bathroom would have been helpful). Views of sunsets and sunrises over the mountains were a bonus that we hadn’t expected. We all hated to leave!

Don't hesitate, just book it!

Whitney made our stay extremely comfortable. Her home is gorgeous and was perfect for our group trip with friends. We had planned to explore Yellowstone and Big Sky, but because of the wildfires and smoke in the area we ended up stuck inside. Normally we would have been really bummed, but this place is so comfortable, our group was happy to hang around the house together and play games (that Whitney was so nice to send us) instead. We would love to stay here again. Whitney is a five star VRBO host with an amazing property!

Great house in Ennis

House was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. We spent most of our time around the outdoor fireplace and in the kitchen, both of which were well stocked. Town of Ennis is small and lovely, in close enough proximity to other attractions including Yellowstone and Big Sky, but with enough to keep you entertained in and around town also. Whitney was a great communicator before and during our trip.

Amazing!

We had a wonderful stay in Ennis. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and wonderful. There was so much space both inside and out. This living areas and bedrooms were really large and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Also the kitchen and pantry were stocked better than any rental we have ever been to in the past. Great location too! Really close to fishing access on the Madison river and just minutes from the awesome little town of Ennis.

Wonderful!

I would highly recommend this exceptionally maintained home away from home. We we’re wanting for nothing except a longer stay! Our host was easily accessible and her onsight (Gary 😁) assistant was available but not intrusive. Would recommend this home in the Madison Valley to anyone wishing to relax and enjoy all that Montana has to offer. Thank you Whitney for allowing us to enjoy your well appointed home. We hope to return!

Nice Secluded Home

If you’re looking for a place in Montana you just found it. Click to book now. We had an excellent 19 day stay at this home. Everything was great. All the amenities you’d ever need. Grocery stores and Family Dollar all within a few miles. Yellowstone is a beautiful easy 1 hour drive. Excellent views from every angle of the house. We were able to see some foxes, moose, and an osprey. If you’re looking for a place in Montana this is it.

Beautiful home in a wonderful location!

We enjoyed a great week and a half in this beautiful home with our grown kids...9 adults and a baby! There was plenty of room for all of us, and we really enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, the cozy fireplace, and the great location! This home is close to town, yet feels like it’s in the country...we saw deer, antelope, and a moose near the house! Whitney was a super hostess, and answered our questions very quickly, even providing a “Pack and Play” for the baby, and a blow up mattress since we had a full house! Stunning property!

Absolutely loved our time in Ennis! This is a gorgeous home and made a wonderful "home base" as we explored the area. Loved the feeling of seclusion while only 10 minutes from town. So many things to do and see. Perfect setup for a family or a getaway with friends. Rooms are spacious and comfy and kitchen is well stocked. Will definitely book a return visit!!

Wonderful, spacious home in an open, serene setting

We enjoyed a fabulous get away with our two married children and their spouses. This home is spectacular in every way. The photos only hint at it's beauty. The home has a wonderful layout and is fully equipped for your stay. We cooked, grilled and chilled outside at the fireplace. Whitney's replies were always prompt and complete. We only wish we would have stayed longer...next time! Thank you for an amazing time!

Our family of 4 had an awesome experience staying here! We are so grateful. The home is beautiful inside and out. It is warm and peaceful. We loved how the home was decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill was great so we were able to enjoy eating in each night. The outside area was perfect for sitting and talking, playing games and just quiet. We took in beautiful starry nights, watched osprey and deer. We had a great time with the corn hole game! Our family found just what we needed here and we are so grateful!!

Great Family Wedding House

I loved the pantry stocked and the fact that we were welcome to use any items we wished. The house was cleaner than most that we have stayed at and I appreciated that as I am a little freakish about that. The only complaint that I have is that I felt the bed in the master bedroom should have been a king and the other bed a queen especially since there was room for that to be the case.
