Great Location… But…

The location of the condo we stayed at was great. Minutes the beach, restaurants and a short drive to shops and even San Diego. No AC would have been fine if you could keep the screen door and window open… but with the passenger train and the freight train at night it was VERY loud and frequent so it’s not possible. The sleeping options need new mattresses and pillows, and the appliances are operational but VERY outdated. The beach equipment provided need to be renewed As they are torn and rusted out.

Oceanside vaca

This property was right in the beach as well as right on the harbor. They had all the amenities well stocked. I felt very safe and comfortable. Although the units aren’t air conditioned, they did provide 3 nice portable fans, plus 2 ceiling fans. I was glad to have read about the train noise at night, because I came prepared with earplugs and was unbothered...my daughter struggled with the train noise, son and husband got used to it by day#2 (& the help of a “white noise” app on their phones). We took surf lessons from Whitlock Surf during our stay which met us right there at the Harbor beach too. Great vacation!

The place was not clean. Roaches, hair stuck to the walls in the bathroom, mysterious brown stains on the walls, every tv remote was filthy. But the worst part was the TRAINS... There's train tracks extremely close to the windows, and every night we were woken up by LOUD squeaky trains about every 30 minutes until about 5:00 am.

Enjoyed stay, except for the trains.

The condo was nice and homey. They thought of everything. It was nice to have a laundry basket. Description said a washer was on premise but failed to say you had to pay for it. Would have been nice to know. Our property faced the street and railroad tracks. It was hot and stuffy even with the fans that were provided. We couldn't sleep with the windows open because of the trains that went through all night. The pool was very nice. The walk to the beach was short. They provided boogie boards, chairs and an umbrella which was nice. We would stay at the complex again, just in a different unit.

Pretty good

Checkin was easy. North coast community is slightly older complex but well maintained with some nice amenities. Can't beat the walk to the beach. The condo is nice and the bed was comfortable. Overall the condo was pretty clean. The kitchen did seem to have an ant problem but it was easy to remedy with the rid that was under the sink. The major issue we had was how hot it was in the condo. No AC and the wrong facing condo for ocean breeze almost made it unabearable. Keeping the doors and windows open helped but the noise of the train is then very loud. I would recommend staying here when it is cooler out.

Excellent location, short walk through the complex to the beach. Beach toys, boogie boards, and beach towels were provided which was a huge perk! Place was clean and a sofa and futon for sleeping was perfect so the kids didn’t need to share a bed. We opened windows in evening to keep it cool and then closed them at night and ran fans and were fine with the trains. Kitchen well stocked! So much to do on property and not too far of a drive from both La Jolla south and Crystal Cove north for tide pooling and seal watching! Hope to stay again soon.

Convenient location, nice amenities

Wonderful host, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay here! The gym is well-equipped, with a sauna too! — and there is a nice pool and spa. We hardly had time to enjoy these, as we were out and about, visiting local towns and beaches. Oceanside is centrally located in Southern California. It was great having a gated place to stay — felt safe, parking was easy (assigned space in the garage). Very nice! Would stay here again! There is a train that runs across the street but we didn’t find it noisy during the night.

Perfect little condo close to the beach

The condo was exactly what we were expecting from the pictures. Small but perfect for our family. Close to the beach, next time I would got to the right side of the property verse the left side. If your a light sleeper, you will hear the train a lot but we knew about the train before booking. No A/C but the night time was comfortable enough to sleep. Place needs some updating and more amenities for the beach but all in all it was a great stay.

Nice place. Be aware of train.

Place was great. Short walk to beach. Fun Koi pond for the kids. The onsite amenities were still closed (no gym/rec room) so can't speak to those. My only drawback to the place was it is RIGHT BY THE RAILROAD which runs roughly every hour. During our stay the doors and windows had to stay open to keep it cool enough, and at night, the train made it tough to sleep. If you have little kids that have a tough time staying asleep or are a light sleeper, I would definitely take this into consideration. The place was otherwise nice.

Enjoyable!

A good location with only a 5 minute walk North along the coast to a harbor with dining, shops, and yachts birthed. Then a 10 minute walk South along the beach to the Oceanside pier in the heart of fine and casual dining, shopping, train station to travel by train South to the heart of San Diego and cities in between, North towards places like Disneyland, and an east west train to travel inland towards the foot hills. The condo is in a gated community, well supplied, parking garage spacious, and excellent security and amenities. Overall a great stay!

Needed to sleep 3, but had to use air mattress & was given 1 washcloth for the 3 of us.

Upon check in I was happy with the mgr I met and tour of the property. Our room was very outdated but I figured we were there basically to sleep & shower so whatever. I was told right away that the futon was broken, but we had a king and a pull out. The first night the pull out was a mess, but my 6’1” son was there for a college soccer showcase so wanted a bed to himself (my daughter and I shared the king). We noticed pillows jammed in between the pull out mattress and frame to prop it up. By night two the head portion collapsed while he was sleeping. I tried to fix it & contacted the Mgr. Was told someone couldn’t be out till our 6th of 8 days to fix it and was left an air mattress. On that 6th day was sent a text that the handyman couldn’t come out till the FOLLOWING day, which I replied was unacceptable. By that night was told it was “fixed” and that we could use the futon now too. He acted as though he had no idea the pullout was broken but if anyone even pulled it out to change the sheet they would’ve known! My son chose the air mattress over both the last two nights because it was still WAY better than what the room furniture offered (Including the king mattress) 5 of 7 nights having broken sleeping arrangements is NOT GOOD BUSINESS. And not good for someone who is there relying on a place to get a good nights rest. We were given ONE washcloth for the three of us FOR THE WEEK! I texted twice to get additional and were given them on day 6! We had multiple families on this property for the week and they were shocked at our place, and were shocked to see that we were not offered ANYTHING for our trouble. I have screenshots of the texts and was told “I’m sorry you feel that way” I spent a lot of money for the room, and fortunately everything ASIDE from the room & service was spectacular. All of our families will consider other options for our following couple of years if this doesn’t get remedied.

Forget hotels! If you are coming to Oceanside, this is the place to stay!

We stayed for one month. In building b, close to the guard station (extra safe) and first drive way to the complex (very convenient) and literally had a beautiful view leaving the building to walk down to the strand and best area for sunsets. Personally the location was perfect for me especially at night, beautifully and well lit. Now you prob read in the description there’s a train, well that never bothered us. Really the only time I heard it was early evening for a few seconds, so don’t let that deter you. Although there are no a/c’s and personally I am always hot, don’t worry! There are 3 ceiling fans plus 2 each additional fans in the rooms. Plus with the beautiful grounds, incredible pool and awesome location to everything including the strand and sand. I doubt you will be sitting in the condo much. Everything is within walking distance. The harbor is a hop skip away and lovely. We felt at home right off the bat. You do not need to worry about bringing anything with you other than your suitcase.

Very nice?

The apartment was clean and well supplied with linens, towels, and kitchen items. I'm an aged man, looking at the time for a nice place to spend a month, and I found it. I would recommend it to either a couple or a single. The price was not bad when one considers the indoor parking, laundry facilities on hand, adjacent to the elevator. The bed, by the way, was very comfortable, and the apartment suitably furnished. I don't know if the opportunity will afford itself, but I'd not mind staying again . Perfect beach vacation!

This place is cute, classy & comfortable, owner has thought of everything we could want. We never even got in our car! We could walk to everything we wanted: waves, drinks, dinner and a show! Will come back for sure!
