Enjoy the summer charm of Narragansett, RI and its surrounding beautiful beaches, yet within driving distance of World Cup Soccer Boston!

This Classic Cape Style home is within walking distance (approx. 1/2 mile) to Scarboro State Beach. Escape to our charming 3-bedroom vacation home in the heart of Narragansett, Rhode Island. Nestled just a 5-minute drive from the Block Island Ferry and 10 minutes from the stunning Narragansett Beach, this cozy retreat offers the perfect base to explore the area's top attractions, including 6 local beaches along the south coast of RI, many excellent restaurants, the quaint fishing village of Galilee in Pt. Judith, the ferry to Block Island, the close by City of Newport, and the nearby University of Rhode Island.

As a guest, you'll enjoy the comforts of home with free WiFi and a full-size washer and dryer at your disposal. Prepare delectable meals in the fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, and all the essential appliances and cookware. Gather around the dining table or step outside to the outdoor furniture and grill for alfresco dining.

When it's time to unwind, curl up in the living room and enjoy satellite/cable TV, a DVD player with a video library, and an assortment of games and books for all ages. Stay productive at the desk and chair, or let the little ones play in the outdoor play area. With air conditioning, heating, and all the essential linens provided, you'll experience a truly relaxing and carefree getaway.

It’s a great property! One of the few properties available with central air. Just a half mile walk to the beach using the cut-through. They provide a beach cart and beach chairs. Larry responded to any questions almost instantaneously and he was extremely helpful and friendly. The house was very clean and we would absolutely stay there again.

Great house and Location

Very immaculate and roomy with a large yard and great deck close to beach. The bedrooms are very roomy and the owner is so nice and communicative. I highly recommend this house!

Another great stay!

This was our 3rd year staying at this house. It’s been perfect for my family of 4 and there’s plenty of room for guests to stay. Larry has always been extremely accommodating and available. Will definitely stay again!

Family Beach Week

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was the quintessential beach house, with all of the comforts and charms you could ask for. It’s a great location for families, as it’s close to the beaches, shops and other attractions and is in a quiet/secluded neighborhood. We would definitely recommend it.

Loved this home! Have spent many years visiting the Cape and wanted to explore Naragansett this year. We booked this home and it was exactly as pictured on the website. The host is wonderful and extremely accessible. He is also a huge resource to all things in the area. This house is walking distance to Scarborough Beach. Great location for Block Island ferry and lots of wonderful restaurants. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting the area!! A

Great beach house a short walk from the ocean

We had a great stay at the beach house in Narragansett. It is a short walk down to Scarborough (there is an unmarked "paved with shells" cut-through path. Deck and yard are great, providing nice afternoon shade.

Close to beach and restaurants. Property was very clean and had all the equipment/utensils, dishes one would need. Good size deck with large enough table for 6-8 guests or more. The owner (Larry) was very helpful with anything asked.

Fantastic Beach Rental

This cottage was perfect! Super clean and a close walk to the beach. The complementary beach wagon and short cut down the street made each day's trip to the beach easy. The house has all the necessities you would need and the large deck (which was shaded from the afternoon sun) was great for entertaining. I will definitely go back in the future.

Charming cape

We had a wonderful time at this charming cape. The location was perfect for our needs. Having 2 bathrooms was great and the space was comfortable enough for a family of 7 and a baby under one. The deck and outside space was beautiful and the neighborhood was quiet and well maintained. We are looking forward to next year 💕

All the Amenities

This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house suits our family of 4 perfectly. It comes with all the amenities, from lobster pot to beach chairs. Each bedroom includes side tables, dresser, lamps and power strips. Having stayed in many vacation rentals I can tell you this owner has thought of everything and it’s a short walk to a great beach.!

Family vacation

This house and location fit our family needs. My husband and I were joined by our daughter and 2 adult granddaughters. there was space for us to spread out. The deck was wonderful for eating, visiting and working. We needed a house that provided air conditioning and wifi so one could work from home.

Wonderful place

What a lovely home and such gracious owners. The house was as promised and more...all the ammenties of home. The yard is lovely for the kids to run around in when you aren't at the beach. The deck is a great place to congregate anytime of the day. The location is wonderful. Close enough to walk to the beach (if the kids aren't too small), and a great jumping off point for visits to Jamestown and Newport. We'd rent again in a heart beat.

Clean and Cozy Family Space

This is our second year renting this property. We love how clean and cozy this house is! It’s perfect for our family- 2 bathrooms is a must when staying with extended family. Also a bedroom on the first floor is needed for older family members that have difficult with stairs. We didn’t need anything from the owner but he gave us his contact information just in case.

Great Narragansett Stay

Cute house about 10 minute walk to Scarborough Beach. Ceiling fans in bedrooms, comfortable beds. Note that you have to bring all linens and towels (bath and beach), and any other things you might expect to find at a rental, including hairdryer, shampoo, etc. When flying from California and North Carolina, as some of our crew was, it was difficult to pack all of that. Kitchen is well stocked and outdoor areas are great. Larry was communicative and a good host. Great location for our 20th Reunion at Brown!

Summer vacation in Narragansett

The property was as presented in VRBO advertisement. We wanted for nothing other than sunshine; however, not the best beach week. We did go on Monday; and loved the convenience of beach cart and short "cut through" walk to the beautiful Scarborough Beach :) We spent a wonderful five or six hours on the beach and went back to relax! Larry was very helpful in choosing other activities going on when the Sun wasn't cooperating. We enjoyed spending a day in Block Island :) It was all in all an incredible stay; would rent again!!!! A week at the beach!

Wanted some beach time with my wife and sister. This place fit the bill very well. Close to Scarborough State Beach and we could have walked but bought a season pass to all state beaches for $30 and just drove. Southern entrance to Scarborough has a lot less traffic. We used to live in Narragansett and one night we had old friends over for a cookout. Nice deck space with plenty of chairs and a grill in good condition. Beds were comfortable and there was A/C: we were there in heat wave. Short drive to Galilee for the ferry to Block Island, which we did one day. Handy to Newport. Definitely would recommend this place!

Larry's Place

Lovely: Comfortable, cozy, plenty of TVs, plenty of seats inside, on the deck, in the yard, plenty of tables inside, on the deck, in the yard, plenty of plates and utensils, umbrella, grill, showers outside, inside downstairs, inside upstairs, an overhead fan in every room, central air, comfortable beds, every conceivable gadget in the kitchen (toaster, microwave, blender, several coffee pots, etc., etc.}, a dishwasher, laundry facilities (washer dryer). It was a quiet location, spacious yard. flowers in the front of the house, etc. Really close to several beaches. Literature on restaurants, local activities, etc. Basically the house had everything and truly felt like a home away from home. We really enjoyed all aspects of our time there during one of the summers warmest heat waves (four consecutive days over 90 F). We hope to return there many times in the years to come. JWF & WCF

Disappointed

The host contacted me at check in time telling me the AC wasn't working. Had constant bothering from host and workers all week. It wasn't overly hot but it was humid in the house. AC was definitely needed. Wasn't fixed until 4:30pm the night before we left. Host wouldn't do anything about it to make this better. Such a shame.

Great place, exactly as described and photographed.

This cottage felt very homey. We especially enjoyed the deck and grill. The house included nice tables at both the deck and kitchen, providing nice gathering spaces. The only drawback was having to rent sheets and towels, however there is an in town rental service.

We are the original owners! We built this summer get-away in 1978 and we have lovingly and continuously upgraded and maintained it. We live nearby in Wakefield, RI, which makes it convenient for us to be on site with the cleaning crew for each change over, and to make sure everything is just right for your arrival! Just call us if you should ever need anything or have any special requests. We have upgraded and remodeled it over the years, to give it that classic, summery Narragansett feeling that you are sure to love as much as we do!

The easy walking distance to Scarboro State Beach and quiet, friendly neighborhood make this the perfect choice for your family vacation. The large side deck and big yard make for fun family gatherings and activities! We are dedicated to cleanliness and we meet our cleaning crew for every Saturday changeover to make sure the house is prepared to our high standards and is ready for your visit. Please be our guests, we promise you will not be disappointed!

I think what makes our property unique is our personal touch! We definitely know how important your vacation is to you, and we want it to be an experience that we ourselves would expect if we were renting a vacation home. We are NOT a realtor managed property, like so many are, where you pick up the keys and then hope and pray that someone is making sure that your vacation rental is ready for you. We meet the cleaning crew for every changeover to make sure everything is just right for you. I will personally call you on the day of your arrival to let you know that the house is clean and ready for you, and quite often to allow you an early entry. You will have our cell phone contact info and a immediate response to any questions or concerns. We pay attention to details so you don't have to! Just come, relax, and have FUN!!
