Location and comfort!

Thanks Doug for taking the time to give us a review, it is very much appreciated as in anything there is always room for improvement and to grow from current successes! Indeed this is $2 Million plus house and the apartments are very large for NYC lodging and it is a decade old building not renovated. Facts that could be verified by anybody! We do have a bigger portable bed in the basement; all you needed was to ask me. We do not receive many large groups and the advice from prior Guests was that it was taking too much space. Therefore, we decided to remove it and will only provide it upon request. However to ease this situation in the future, I put a sofa bed (queen size) like in all the other listings. The counter space in the kitchen and none in the bathroom, this is just typical apartments (not houses) in big cities. You will have a reasonable small space to work on. For the noise, all that was needed was to talk to me and I would let Guests on the second floor to reduce the noise. In general, Guests can make an enjoyable experience by just communicating reasonable matters to Hosts!

You are more than welcome Carson, It it is always our pleasure to be at your service! Thanks for your positive comments! I do agree with you regarding my response to your towel request. I could’ve elaborated more. In fact we do not provide extra towels to people staying less than a week. Even big hotel chains like Marriot will charge an extra if you want your room cleaned daily with extra towels/linens. I will be honest we just cannot afford it, NYC is too expensive! It costs a lot and it is very difficult to find a reliable and decent cleaning crew. Hosts cannot do it alone we do need your help to keep the Homesharing a great experience for both the Hosts and the Guests. The nearest hotel around Sumner Hotel will be charging you more per night for just a single queen size room and a bathroom. This being said, since we are in the hospitality business, we do not mind giving extra towels occasionally. The Holidays Seasons are very busy! We are lucky to have good, responsible and very respectful people coming in the house. They do follow our rules for the wellbeing of everybody. For the heat and the mat, you could’ve just told me. The Thermostat can go up to 80 and we do have mobile electrical heaters in the apartment that people can use as needed. We do have Mats in all of our bathrooms not sure, why the cleaning did not put it.

Hi Linda, I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and I met your expectations! I wish, I could change the size of the cabinet but those are standard sizes and I am not sure that will be easy to find and will be convenient for most our Guests but will keep it in mind. For the beds those are jumbo beds the same quality that you will find at Sheraton or Marriott. Those are very pricey beds and received a lot of good comments! However, you made a very good point to let people know that this is not a centralized a/c. Yes indeed this is a fairly new building so it is built in a way each apartment has its own control of the temperature they want.

One Guest did leave a small crack inside the sink and we will be changing it as it easier than to repare it even though it still can be used. Christian et sa Famille, sont des gens responsables, merveilleux et tres respectueux. Ils sont tres ouverts et tres plaisant de discuter avec. Durant tout leur sejour tout s’est admirablement bien passe. Ils ont laisse l’apartment tres propre. Je les recommande a tous les proprietaires et je les recevrai bien a tout moment!
