2 story fully furnished house with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms - quiet street location is central to grocery stores as well as walking distance to downtown 2nd Street Lewes. Just minutes to area beaches and approximately 6 miles to Rehoboth Beach.
Beach house has a dining room, living room, kitchen w/ washer and dryer, front porch, back deck and fenced in back yard. Outside you will find an entertainment building the “Salt Shack” to hang out and relax, play corn hole or enjoy a meal at the table *not a sleeping space
Location is also ideal for nurses as this home is located within walking distance to Beebe Healthcare. This home also has a driveway as well as on street parking.
Has wi-fi and cable. Utilities included in stay. Housekeeping upon request (longer stays)
This is a pet friendly home * see nonrefundable pet fee * extra fee of $50.00 for more than 2 animals.
Kitchen is completely set up with dishes, eating utensils and cookware and cooking utensils. Blender, air fryer, waffle maker and crockpot available.
Coffee machine provided (keurig and regular coffee maker available), coffee grinder
Gas grill provided ( on salt shack patio), extra full tank available.
Hair dryer, iron and ironing board provided. Pack N Play available. wooden booster /High chair available.
AC : large window unit downstairs, 2 window units upstairs
central heating (option to use provided space heaters upstairs during colder months). AC units do a great job of cooling however during high humidity there are some warmer areas in the home downstairs.

Everyone had a great time in your charming and cute house. The location is perfect for walks, bike rides or sitting on the front porch people watching. We walked to the park with the community center and heard Vinyl Shockley play—and they were great. My daughter used the covered patio in front of the shack house every morning to do yoga and journal. All the neighbors were quiet. Parking was very easy and plenty of street spaces.

Great location!

When we visit, we typically wind up on Cape Henlopen. This house was maybe a 10 min drive so it was the mkst perfect location for us

Great stay in Lewes!

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house. The house was well-stocked, organized, and charming. The layout was perfect for a stay with a grandparent and a pre-schooler, and the yard was a real bonus. We loved walking to The Station on King and the market, and the beach and restaurants were a quick ride away.

This spot is a little gem close to the center of Lewes. The fenced yard was perfect for our doodle and we loved the salt shack in the rear where we spent most afternoons and evenings relaxing. The beds were super comfy and the AC units kept the house cool on warmer days. The owners have made this house a great place to vacation. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect location!

My husband and I and our puppies thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location was the perfect balance of quiet, but short walk to everything and all of the bike trails. We will love to be back and explore even more.

Easter weekend with family

It was a great stay! We all loved the salt shack. The beds were comfy and clean. The location was perfect. It’s very walkable to everything in town. The hosts communicated very well and the detail of the property was just right. I would definitely stay again!

Wonderful house in Lewes.

We loved this house and hope to rent it again. It was great to soak in shade and breezes on the big porch.

Cozy stay

Came with family, including my daughter's friend. They spent lots of time at the Salt shack. Our dog loved the fenced yard.

I wish I was aware, I could have tried to help you as we were working closely with the dishwasher seal and AC, shew... thank goodness that 100 degree weather seems to have let up for now. Cozy House

This property was great for my family over the Christmas holiday. We were in town visiting other family and so we mostly slept here and spent our days at their place. The house is very cozy and well kept. The backyard space is great for kids and the dog.

The home is very old and outdated. The main shortcomings include: a lack of central AC which leads to using the AC window units which are VERY LOUD. In 2 bedrooms there are NO AC units. In the upstairs bedrooms they provided AC units but you can't lower the blinds because that will block the unit. There is a very tiny shower on the second floor. There are very low ceilings upstairs and a very steep staircase. There are very loud floorboards which woke others up during the night. There is peeling paint at the AC unit ledges and the back screen door does not shut properly. Kitchen: albeit well stocked, there is no AC, disposal or dishwasher in the kitchen. Also, you have to prop open the windows with a piece of wood and there are no blinds, so at night, neighbors can see in (photos attached). The home is clean and has a fenced yard which was great for our dog. The owner supplied bath towels and sheets which is nice. If we had begun our search earlier in the season, we would have been able to find a much better option in terms of quality to price ratio. Since we left early because of the noise, we requested one night of rent back from the owner but they declined.

We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The property is an older home and is listed as a beach cottage, and we try to be very transparent in the listing about the home, its age, amenities, and layout. It is intended to be a comfortable beach cottage rather than a newer luxury condominium or modern home. The original hardwood floors do have some squeaking, which is characteristic of an older home, although we certainly understand that this may not be to everyone’s preference. The listing also does not advertise a dishwasher, garbage disposal, or central air conditioning. The air-conditioning arrangements are outlined in the listing so guests can make an informed decision before booking. The kitchen windows look out toward the fenced backyard and provide wonderful natural light, which is one of the features we enjoy about the space. The windows in the kitchen recently stopped going up and staying up and rather than taking a chance the window fall on someone, we provided the wood sticks to support the window. Most importantly, we genuinely wish we had been given the opportunity to address your concerns while you were staying with us. Our welcome message and house binder specifically invites guests to contact us if anything is not as expected so that we have an opportunity to help. We did not receive a phone call or email from you during your six-night stay regarding these concerns, nor were we aware that you were dissatisfied until after you had left a day early and requested a refund for the final night. Had we known you were experiencing issues, we would have been happy to discuss them and determine what, if anything, could be done to improve your stay. We work hard to accurately represent our cottage and its amenities in the listing, and we regularly review the property and our pricing to ensure they are appropriate for the type of accommodations we provide. We’re glad to hear that there were aspects of the cottage and its amenities that you enjoyed, and we appreciate your feedback. For future guests, we encourage everyone to carefully review the entire property description and amenities before booking to make sure the cottage is a good fit for their expectations and preferences. Our family of 4 had a great stay at this property which is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to shops, parks, and bike trails. The house was very clean and everything was nicely stocked and in good working order. A+!

This property is a very quaint beach cottage. It has character, is nicely decorated & well stocked. The kitchen is small, but meets all needs for a vacation stay. The location is an easy walk to restaurants and shops, quick drive to cape henlopen & nearby beaches. Strongly recommend. Even neighbors are friendly & helpful.owner friendly & easy to work with.

Very clean, tidy, and convenient. Has everything needed for a week at Lewes.

The house was very nice in a great neighborhood. The owners were great to work with and made the process easy. Plenty of sleeping room and living space for our family of four. Off-street parking was very convenient. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cooking supplies but it is quite small. All in all, it's a great little house in Lewes.

Great house. Great Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My wife and I and our adult daughter with our 2 dogs had a great time. The fenced in yard is perfect for the dogs to play. Then the Salt Shack was a great spot to cool off from the heat with a drink and the 75 inch tv. Can’t think of anything that the owner/ property manager didn’t furnish or offer. We will definitely keep this house on our preferred list!👍👍👍👍

Fantastic location - an easy walk or bicycle ride into town, near the weekly farmers market, a block and a half from an awesome bicycling/walking trail, two doors down from a day spa where you can get a great massage, less than a block away from the awesome Lloyds market. Walking distance to everything. Historic area nearby. Beach is an easy bicycle ride away, and can be walking distance too if you’re up for a walk. Very well stocked home, beyond my expectations. The layout and back yard were ideal for traveling with pets too. And the “salt shack” is such an added bonus. Communications with the host were above and beyond- very friendly and welcoming. My dogs and I highly recommend this rental home. It had everything we needed and more.

Family Gathering

The house met all our needs. It was comfortable and close to other family we were meeting with. The neighborhood was quiet. The big hit was the Salt Shack. It is simply beautiful! We spent every evening there watching tv on the 75” tv. Don’t hesitate to stay there. You won’t be disappointed!!

We didn’t want to leave…….

We can’t say enough about how wonderful our week was…..This charming home offered us a wonderful week. Loved the screened in porch for morning coffee, beautiful street for walks (with Lloyd’s market around the corner!!!- cutest market ever!), perfect sized home for group of seven, great yard for your dogs and so on…..We will definitely be back. Lewes is an exceptional place. Cannot wait to return! Kathy D.

Cozy home in Lewes

The property was cozy and comfortable. There are several spaces to enjoy. The front porch, the deck and the salt shack provide plenty of room for family to spread out. Due to illness, several of our family members weren’t able to come with us so there were only two of us and our dog on this trip. We didn’t get to share all the house had to offer. The neighborhood was peaceful and we could easily walk into town. I would highly recommend this home.

I was born and raised in Lewes DE. This home was my childhood home. My roots are here and I loved every minute of Lewes and growing up in this small town. Upon inherited this home, wanted to share this home with others as they experience Lewes.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This home is small but comfortable and cozy. Hard to believe growing up here there were at one time 6 of us. We recently added the outside Salt Shack hangout to expand the features of the home and to provide a fun area to sit, relax, cook out, play corn hole, listen to music, etc... The hang out offers a place to be outside enjoying fresh air and sunshine. The Salt Shack has a mini split therefore the right temperature is not a problem. The Salt shack has a comfortable sofa and chair as well as large screen TV with streaming. There is also a retro fridge & microwave along with a separate keurig to make a cup of coffee while sitting outside. The grill is propane with an extra tank in the side storage to the left of the building.
