Considered the Best Location Oceanfront on Maui

The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of ocean front in Kihei, which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year round sunshine, balmy trade winds and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches of rain a year!

This privately owned condo amenities include full kitchen, air conditioning in living room and bedroom, washer and dryer in unit, and a private patio located conveniently close to the BBQ area. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, a queen sofa sleeper and a twin day bed in the living area.

*Queen sofa sleeper (new as of April 2025) in living room with air conditioning
*Twin day bed in living room
*In unit washer/dryer

Other resort amenities include tennis courts, putting green, croquet field, shuffleboard, exercise room, large hot tub/spa, and bbq area. Kihei boasts the best beaches on Maui and our fresh water pool is one of the largest condominium resort pools on the island. Parking is free and unassigned.

**If your are looking to bring an emotional support animal you must fill out approved paperwork PRIOR to arrival. This paperwork then must be approved by the Board of Directors. At no time can guests show up with an emotional support animal the day of check in without proper paper work.**

Maui Sunset so perfect

the condo location was so perfect being close to the beach and pool withhot tub was a bonus. courtyard with bbq grills were great also. Loved not needing to use the AC as the breeze keeps you cool. very relaxing and plenty of space for 2 of us.

Perfect location

Great property on the ground floor, super easy walk to the beach with beautiful sunsets right over the water. Super close to the pool as well. Very nice area with plenty of food options and close drives to lots of things to do.

Great location and amenities

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was roomy for our party of four…my two teens loved having their own beds and two bathrooms made it a much more pleasant stay. We cooked several nights do the grills and fully stocked kitchen were a plus. Sunset views on property were amazing. Would nightly recommend.

Lovely condo

We really enjoyed being on the first floor and walking out to the pool, beach or bbq grills. This condo is on the shady side so if you’re wanting more direct sunlight you might want a unit in building A. The grounds are lovely and well kept. There is food and shopping very close. We had a great stay.

Really great vacation home base!

Clean, comfy apartment in a very nice condo complex. Beautiful pool and beach, meticulously maintained grounds. Close to lots of Keihei stuff. Really nice unit owner and manager, very responsive and accommodating! We had trouble with the main AC unit (bedroom gets deliciously cold!) in the living room. Leave the control at 73 or 74 degrees and leave the doors shut and it’s tolerable.

Excellent Property - can’t wait to come back!

This was an incredible condo to stay at. It was perfectly located before you really get into the shopping and restaurants of Kihei. Incredible pool that is open until 10pm for night swimming. Close to beaches and amazing grassy area to watch the sunset every night. It had everything we needed and more! Easy check in and check out and I can’t wait to come back! The beds aren’t super comfortable but that wasn’t a big deal for any of us. We’d pass out from swimming and being at the beach all day before getting up and going the next morning. The grounds are perfectly manicured the entire time, it truly felt like being at a resort with the comforts of home!

Lovely Location

The Maui Sunset property is Beautiful! We loved having the ground floor unit, it was so easy to let the kids run around outside and play. The unit we stayed it was okay, awesome for the price. The Queen bed was very firm, and the Sofa pull out was a typical hide-a-bed comfort. The couch itself was cozy though. The coffee maker sadly made more of a mess than coffee. But I would stay here again if I returned. It wasn't perfect but all the other stuff made it worth it.

The unit itself was larger than expected and easily slept 5 of us. The bathrooms were clean and spacious and we utilized the full kitchen on many occasions. This unit also had a full washer/dryer which was a life saver! Only item of issue was the small air conditioner in the main room could not keep up with the heat and the room was warm constantly.

Reviewer Comments: This condo is in a fabulous location-a short walk to the ocean to watch the sunset each night, shopping close by, and a short drive to most places on the island. The property was clean, comfortable, and accessible for people with mobility issues. The manager responded quickly to our requests. The only thing that would have improved our stay would be new bedding for the sofa bed and oven mitts in the kitchen. We would definitely come back.

Convenient location & excellent sunset

Pros: - The place is only 20 minutes or so from the airport - 1 min or less walk to the beach - It's not super crowded. We did not use the pools due to covid - Excellent sunset, the calm ocean but the beach is not all sandy due to coral rocks washing over but fun nonetheless - Landscaping is awesome. We loved the grass - Place is good for 4-5 people with 2 bathrooms - Office was rude (not a nice lady) but that is outside the control of the host Cons : - Appliances didn't work especially the dryer and the vacumn but the host was nice enough to communicate that upfront - Ran out of hot water but not a big deal on hot days Overall nice location for the price and will stay here again.

Great property!

This property was in a great location, although if you don’t have a rental car, stores and restaurants are a good walk away. The property is clean and beautiful, right on the beach. The condo was very clean and spacious and had every amenity you could ask for. The only problem is the air-conditioning in the kitchen/living area doesn’t cool very well. We also had a small problem with tiny little bugs on the kitchen counter. But I think this is a problem in Hawaii, not just this unit. So, be warned...DO NOT LEAVE ANY FOOD ON THE COUNTERS! Store everything in the fridge if you can. It was great having two bathrooms with four people. Although the hot water doesn’t last real long in the showers. The beds were quite comfortable. Having laundry facilities in the unit was also nice. Check-in was easy even with us getting there about midnight. I would definitely recommend this place!

Surprising Nice fir a Backup Plan

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We initially reserved another condo not far from this one with Hawaii Life but we're moved here the night before arriving due to repairs. Upon arrival we were obviously bummed because we had put a ton of research into the other place and had not as much knowledge of what we were walking into. We stayed on the B side. From the parking lot, the complex looked a bit dated. We arrived later in the day so the office was closed but the groundkeeper/security was very helpful and even provided recommendations for food and activities nearby. The condo itself was nice. It had areas that could be updated and touched up but otherwise functional for our needs. I also planned a surprise room decoration setup for my partner's birthday and the front desk was very helpful with coordinating that since we were going to be away during the setup. The complex is relatively quiet since most of the units were owned or occupied by older adults. There were some kids but not too many which was nice. Pretty good location with access to a small beach right on the property. Only issue we faced was operating the floor and window A/c units. Our other bookings was also supposed to have a balcony and here we were on the first floor but the patio was cool to sit out at in the mornings.

Suite was outdated a bit but still nice and had everything we needed. Loved the pool, being beach side, the bbqs and the sense of community.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Maui Sunset was wonderful. The ground floor unit we rented, we checked out, before agreeing to rent. It proved to be everything we'd hoped. Clean, well stocked, good furniture, AC, well lit, no carpet. The grounds were very well kept and the staff were very courteous. We liked the location as well. We usually stay in south Kehei by Kam 3. This location was closer to groceries, golf, Costco. While there we had a couple issues that were resolved immediately by our day to day contact, Lara. She went out of her way to ensure we were happy with our stay. Prior to the covid -19 pandemic, we were able to go to Mama's Fish House, Fred's, Coconuts, to name a few. All were fantastic. We were able to take the West Maui Drive and missed the drive to Hana due to Covid-19 road closure. Once the pandemic is over, I recommend a vacation in Maui.

The location on the islqnd was a perfect base for all of the activities we want to do and within 1 to 5 mins of anything you wanted in Kehei. Check in was a breeze. The Maui Sunset amenities were great! Big clean pool and hot tub. The grass is all like a putting green! Gorgeous views of the water/sunset from anywhere on the resort. This unit was perfect for BBQing dinner! There were beach chairs, lots of towels, umbrella, cooler bag, and 2 boogie boards to borrow.A couple small improvements - the screen door was a lot of work to open and close- just needs some repair. The mattress on the pull out couch is not comfy at all.Other that, it was perfect and we would gladly recommend it and return to this place ourselves!

The only negative aspect was regarding the uptight rules at the pools. Not being able to throw a ball around in the water seems pretty lame especially if you want to attract family tenants. The shuffleboard and tennis courts were also nice addition and we used them frequently.
